In today's #zelda video we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of #thelegendofzelda franchise made by Nintendo. Throughout the years there have a lot of things like certain enemies, bosses places, characters, quests, items and more in games like the legend of zelda ocarina of time, the legend of zelda breath of the wild, the legend of zelda majora's mask, the legend of zelda twilight princess, the legend of zelda the wind waker, the legend of zelda skyward sword, the legend of zelda a link to the past, the legend of zelda a link between worlds and a lot more. Link defeats ganondorf and saves the triforce from evil with the master sword time and time again, while going through the land. They released these games on consoles like the wii, wii u, nintendo switch, gamecube, n64 and a lot more. Dr Wily: BOTW Moblins attack too slowly so I’m not including them Also Wily: SS Moblin is the best Moblin SS Moblin: Takes 3 seconds to swing a one-handed spear once, the exact amount of time a ‘slower’ BOTW Moblin takes to swing a two-handed weapon once

Yes but they do as much damage as a two handed sword plus they are two handed sized. Plus BotW the moblins can be stun locked by hitting them and knocking them over while in SS they don't even flinch when you hit them and you just can't knock them over. Plus they even hurt you after they are already dead by falling on you.

@@drwily moblins in botw can use shields too and because it's botw you mostly fight them in large spaces so it's not all their fault

Propily a breath of the wild moblin gold/silver with a 2 handed weapon or sword and shield.with a bocoblin to throw (edit I was wrong)

Well in BotW they are pretty clumsy and can be easily knocked down while in SS they can't be knocked over period. In fact they don't even flinch when you hit them. Even though WW's I think are slightly harder to fight their attacks can be cancelled by hitting them while in SS they can't be.

@@Skylancer727 well I agree but my thought process was well moblin s can inst kill (if your just started)you and can throw enemies at you with at there best being (hard to kill some times) and well I did neglect that they can be easily get around and if your good you can steal there weapons

@@Skylancer727 monlins are normally with bokoblins so Mabel an episode on what is the best combo of enemies or like how there spawned it would probably be a bit of a harder choice

Such a good video! Nice work Wily and Kotlolish! Moblins used to scare the hell outta me because I first encountered them playing OOT...that sudden sound they make right before charging...XD oh my lord. My still beating heart. Still epic break down of the moblins I never really thought about how diverse they are!!

Not really, 9 out of 10 times they miss there attack because they are too big aside from that their defence is terrible you can easily take them down

I agree with you. Haven't faced a gold one, but there are some that are quite powerful.

@@drwily I have to give you a thumbs down on your reply. Yes their defense is terrible, but 9 out 10 times their attack actually connects and on multiple occasions has caused me several hearts worth of damage, while I wearing decent armor. And it was the full set.

@@drwily and if you stay uncomfortably close to them while strafing, they usually can't even hit you or get you off of them. And if they do a sweep, free flurry rush!

The large pig from Wind Waker. It's big (by big I mean built like a refrigerator) and invincible and if you hit it it will maul you to death. I consider it to be Ganon's true form.

I actually really enjoyed Skyward Sword. I also liked their goblin enemies (that's what I call them, or just "blins") the most. That being said, I actually found WW Moblins to give me the hardest time tbh. The SS ones, you can easily bypass their defenses, and their suer armor actually amde them easy punching bags. WW ones were more difficulty because they are almost impossible to hit without using a parry (or hurricane spin), and when they do get back up, they hit super-fast and super-hard (only their first hit though it seems).

Oot moblins may be mechanically weak but that one could cause earth tremors that can launch link a country mile and the other are invincible when charging.

So... if we're going to count everything that's Moblin, the unused Twilight Princess Moblins, they were only seen in TP's first trailer and look similar to their WW counterparts, except they have teeth that put the Imprisoned to shame.

I truly thought he was going to pick breath of the wild but then again I haven’t played much Zelda games my second to thought was the mob learns from skyward sword because when I saw them they were on skinny platforms they’re big and they have those shields.

Have you checked out big blins? They’re in Spirit Tracks and Hyrule Warriors. I know they’re not *officially* listed as moblins, but most people I see consider them such. They’re listed as a “branch of moblins” on the Zelda gamepedia if that’s worth anything.

@@drwily I’d assume they’re related given the suffix “blin” - the same suffix given to: Boko(blin) Mo(blin) Bul(blin) Mini(blin) Big (blin) Given there size and demeanor, I’d assume they’re closely related in the same way Bulblins and presumably miniblins are related to bokoblins.

I think that IF an Ocarina of Time moblin is in a straight enclosed path, (which they are in game) then they are quite hard to defeat. You WILL get seen if you come around a corner, and they will immediately charge you, making them invincible while doing so.

You should do this for other enemies in the Zelda series because believe their are alot of enemies across the different games who have similar names just different looks and tactics, another great idea would be to rank the different enemy variants from your least favorite to the most I mean just look at the Baba's, the Stalfos's, the Kease's and even the genes's (don't know if I'm spelling some of these right lol)

Good analysis, but I must mention you missed an important detail. Health. Moblins from Breath of the Wild have INSANE amounts of health, especially the Gold ones. Making them the most tanky versions of themselves. Sure, they're still clumsy, but they can take all that nasty damage, and deal back much more, especially if given the proper weapons. But truly, their slowness probably wouldn't overcome a Moblin's Metal Shield. Unless you gave them Electric Arrows. Then they'd win for sure. Honestly, Its a toss up between Moblin WW, Moblin SS, and Moblin BotW.

My problem with this is that health is subjective, especially in botw, it all depends on how strong your weapon is at that point

@@drwily Makes sense, but all Zelda goes by that logic, depending on what lv your sword is. In Windwaker you have a health bar at the very least with that mask, and in BotW, you have numerical values. while wearing the Champion's Tunic. Plus, the one common thing you can use for damage application can be the Master Sword itself. Since you get it in most Zelda games anyways. You can use that to determine the number of hits every enemy has, and BotW has the tankiest of all enemies. Though that is obviously because its different from all other Zelda's obviously, you still have to consider it.

SUGGEST Maybe a sub category of the best enemy like for example if it’s more difficult in practical that ferietical because it normally has more enemies around it so you haft to fight more at the same time or it’s at a difficult to reach space somethings like that it would probably 8 times out of 10 not change the altcome tho.

I think you're right about the strongest moblin. Sure, botw does have golden moblins that hit hard, but they move very slow, and you could just avoid it and then smack them. Though, I think ww moblin might have a shot at ss if they throw a lantern at a wooden shield one. With metal shield...they dead XD

I think the moblins inskyward sword are much weaker than the Moblins in breath of the wild. I played both games and I had a much harder time dealing with the moblins breath of the wild.

Botw moblins actually attack faster than any other moblin, can use any weapon which can range from a traveler's sword to a royal claymore, use bows with decent accuracy, can use shields that can't be sliced apart like a hot knife through butter, can fight hand to hand, can actually turn around without taking forever, can use the environment to their advantage like chucking barrels(both regular and explosive) at you, not to mention they can close distance with you by hurling a bokoblin at you, making them actually pretty smart. All the while Skyward sword moblins just sit there attacking at the speed of flowing honey and if you run up their shield(which by the way is made of butter most of the time), they take forever to even start turning around.

We aren't comparing them to link, more among moblins, so keeping that in mind the huge moblins with a shield and spear is quite a challenge

@@drwily I know that, what I was trying to say was that botw moblins are both faster and way smarter than Skyward Sword moblins, who are once again are fast as flowing honey that just came out of the fridge, and are very dense. Meanwhile, botw moblins move around rather quickly for a moblin, pack an insane punch, can create camps and bases in strategic locations showing their intelligence, have access to elemental arrows that will either burn the shield or even shock it out of their hands, and can attack in a variety of different ways.

Yeah, I do disagree with you partially. Windwaker and BOTW. The moblins in BOTW are pretty powerful depending on their weapons. If I can get away with freezing and a bomb off of a cliff, it's not bad. But some of the others, are no so easy.
