@@FluffyMomo hi there, on the re-202, which twist mode did you pick for this video? in the manual, i saw three twist types are available: Normal, Hard, and Natural.
The 202 doesn’t carry the volume of the older model, which I think is a signature of Jonny’s setup. I guess we’ll hear what the 202 sounds like in context when Tiny Desk drops.
I know your channel focuses on gear used by Radiohead which I definitely appreciate! I’m curious if you have had the chance to check out the uafx galaxy 74’?
I really want to know how the new re-202 perform on some Radiohead songs such as in limbo, 15 step and planet telex, it would be interesting to see if there's any difference between this and jonny's Roland Space Echo RE201😄
Great comparison! I really like the style and modulation sounds of the RE-20 and I really like how it looks but at the same time the new RE-202 has more functions and has a cleaner design, although, I have mixed feelings about this new "Memory" switch. So either way I believe you have a great pedal no matter which one you choose.
Thanks very much for the video!! Now I don't want to buy an RE-202 as much... 😂 I notice the "saturation" knob the RE-202 is set kind of low. Could this be the reason the RE-202 reverb sounds so weak?
That's a good point! I don't think so...because the saturation knob works separately from the reverb volume. The saturation knob works like a gain knob on an overdrive pedal. BTW, I completely agree with you. Now I know how RE-20 is such a great pedal😅
@@FluffyMomo Thank you for explaining!! The RE-202 has so many secret settings, I expected some settings would replace the RE-20. But I guess it is a different pedal after all haha
I prefer the verb of the RE-20 (so funny that internet bashes it so much) but the other features and other reverb types make the RE-202 a solid candidate too. I don't think you can go wrong with either =)
I love my RE-20, upgrades or not, I do not like the form factor of the RE-202, I like the design of Boss compact and twin pedals, the RE-202 doesn't match the aesthetic, and it goes against my OCD.
The Headrush 😂 Seriously though, the RE-20 takes the cake. The stand of reverb sound like a trumpet, which nods to the versatility of the pedal. The same setting on the 202 was too subtle. Also, whatever you were doing with the twist on the 20 sounded epic!
