I built both these interiors inside Cornflakes boxes, one when I was 8 years old, and then another 4 decades later! Let me know which one you think is the best! / mrtrek
@@mrtrek2117 I think that's why things like The Beatles and obviously Star Trek TOS are iconic. When something is simple, it is pure, and it is more accessible to more people. Keep up the good work!
That's cool! I once made a scale hometheatre and stuck it in front of my computer monitor, because of the immersion and the scale illusion it looked as if I was sitting in a room with a giant moviescreen on the wall ...
As impressive as both are, I have to admit the older one is my favorite. The newer one is great, don't get me wrong, but that one was made with the knowledge, experience and resources of an adult, but the older one was made with the far more limited knowledge, experience and resources of a child which is slightly more impressive to me. Most 8 year olds are still learning to draw beyond stick figures and you were building full 3D dioramas with just cardboard, tape and markers.
I'm 57 years young and have been a huge Star Trek fanatic since the early 70's. My favorite ship of all time is the Enterprise-E. It is to me, the most aesthetically beautiful and most advanced... however, i love them all.
Obviously you were meant to be building models and such!😂 And today your detail is beyond amazing for the smaller scale Enterprise you are using as a guide for the larger one. Lego was King for us kids. So I get the bug you have. My problem is, adhd, I always have too many projects in the pipe!!!🤣✌️🤘🇨🇦
They are both equal, so the outcome is a tie. How can something be judged when you have been so fortunate to have kept the fascination of that 8 year old so long ago. It’s not about a boy becoming a man, it is about a curious kid becoming an artist. You certainly should seek employment in the world of Trek tv and movie productions, I hope someone out there picks up on this channel.
That is a beautiful comment, thank you! About employment in the world of Trek and movie productions, I'm a lone wolf, I work to my own deadlines and realize my own visions and not others. I couldn't do it, the moment deadlines or restrictions come into it all my creativity shuts down. I do what I do when I want, how I want and in the timeframes I want, I can't do it any other way :-) I'm very grateful for these platforms that allow me to show what I do and also make a small living from it.
