"Which Story & Combat Style Should You Play?" - Marauder / Sentinel | Star Wars: The Old Republic 

Hi all! As of Feb 15th 2022, all *Origin Stories & Combat Styles* are being seperated. What this means is, you can choose a story to play in character creation now, and then seperately choose which *combat style* you want to play. These are divided into force and tech categories. Much later in the game, when you complete your origin story arc (chapter 3) the game will allow you to choose a second combat style. This system is basically dualspec. You could add sorcerer style to your juggernaut later, so you can swap between the styles on one character. This feature is backed up by loadouts which can be saved. Any questions just ask! Love the Sith Warrior story line, but wish there was more. The only story line I feel can equal to it is for the Sith inquisitor explore more tombs to gain more abilities and delve more into the old republic lore and past Sith lords. Great video Sam and keep up the great content!

Great video! I played back in the day but didn't commit. I'm doing the Sith Warrior now. One great change to the game is that you don't have to do any side quests at all - you can focus on the main story, and that will level you enough. It makes the game much more accessible to those with a time crunch.

I remember the first character I created in SWTOR was a jedi sentinel, and I still love that combat style Good job on this informative videos 👍

Really like this spec because of the movement speed and AoE abilities. But in terms of coolness factor, I prefer the Sentinel due to the Centering buffs you get looking much cooler compared to what Marauder gets, also Blade Storm is much cooler than Force Scream (won't matter if you pick and get to lvl 58 on Focus/Carnage though) and using heat/plasma just makes more sense in my head, compared to "bleeding" that the Marauder does which is weird, as the lightsabers are hot. Though overall I still prefer Juggernaut and Guardian because of things like Enraged/Focused Defence, the cool replacement for Smash ability and cutscene combat making sense.

Have you considered doing (separate) videos about the game that don't shy away from spoilers? Not entirely spoiling things mind you, just maybe with things about your opinion with certain Story or Romance Options.. Personally I'm not too concerned about spoilers with exception to major plot twists.

so a little bit of info as i didnt see it in the the video even as the marauder sub class you can reach 200%+ damage mitigation using all the defensive abilities plus the unity ability that if i recall you get from light side teir 4 in the legacy menu so yeah high damage out put and can still tank though i DONT recommend using this to tank raids or world bosses been there tried that never worked

Which outfits are you wearing they look sick

Hey I was wondering between boosting a jug or assassin to 70 but couldn’t decide between them I saw that you have both a 70 jug and assassin and was wondering which in your opinion was more fun in the long term based on what you’ve experienced

Excellent! This is just what I’ve been looking for. When the game first came out I played it for about a week… it was too overwhelming, & the hyper-sensitive mouse drove me nut. Nine and a half years later, I’m back for another swing, the mouse thing still sucks, but I found a work around. I was so pissed off when KOTOR 2, just fekin’ STOPPED! No follow on, nothing… so I went down the Mass Effect rabbit hole. I’m 54, I started playing games on the computer, with Moria, on a PDP 11, under UNIX. I am Not a social animal! Most people are a disappointment, shortly after interacting with them, & are rarely worth the time getting to know, (sheesh, I really gotta get out more!), so I don’t, funnily enough, play On line any things. =;p. Research show that this might be a worth story to fill my KOTOR, void, so here goes… Played about six hours now… enjoyable! I don’t fekin’ believe it! I’m actually enjoying this crud! In my own, twisted way. I’m running it on a highly specked, ten year old, boned MacBook Pro, running a Linux distribution. But wait, there’s more… I’m running Windross 10, inside a virtual machine… (Glee!)…. I really don’t like outsiders. I’m intrigued, that I picked EXACLTY the same Jedi Sentinel, Concentration, fella! I I chose that independently, before, I found your content. I’ve subscribed and run the bell, to see what else you’ve got to say. So far I think your content may help me enjoy this experiment more that I though. Thank you neighbour. Now, that’s enough social interaction for today! (Joking! As a long time mara player if mara is carnage (best for pvp damage) you can take down any jug and make them your wife.

2:42 Is this still relevant now? Nearly all I've read and asked say that Fury/Concentration is the most difficult complicated style and Carnage/Combat is the most new player friendly.

I would a comment on what talents trees are more PVP or PVE.

ive just recently start playing this game as a sentinel on concentration path. im level 37 now but it feels super weak on basic mobs and cant really survive without constant companion healing. i try to upgrade my gear as much as possible but it seems like most of the attacks are weak which make the skills seem useless. do you have any advice? the game overall seems pretty cool, ive just come to not enjoy combat because of how tedious its become.

I like the Marauder but force power isn't all that great, I mean the Juggernaut has force choke and push so it would have been nice if the Marauder had a lightning blast with the force choke.

Quite classic like character , though i find those characters pretty borin to play unless you play sith juggernaut and be immortal :D weirdly enough i also think that the jedi knight story was one of the more boring ones maybe just after trooper
