I bought the complete collectors edition before the sale ends yesterday and officially started my journey as a new player. Looking forward to my adventure ~~
Recently came from wow imprisonment to Final fantasy - i am glad that you are still kicking, that you are making videos and all! Also thanks for the video, very helpful.
Thanks Tsetzuko for the video, I was actually wondering about that the other day. I'm hoping to level some FF, but started playing the Swords of Legends online and its not bad.
What I didn't like about their pricing model is that once you buy a subscription you cannot use the free trial again, and since I level slowly and am an altaholic I wont hit level 60 on all 25+ classes anytime soon. This means even when I tried to give them some money I couldn't as it would mean I'd have to buy the recurring subscription to keep playing. So what I ended up doing was playing and levelling classes/jobs with the idea that I'd purchase it once I'd exhausted most of the trial - however I got bored and moved on before then. I really wish there was an option to continue using the trial if your subscription lapses.
I do understand the sentiment. However, I think part of the fun in FFXIV is being able to level those in between weekly stuff with your main. I'm also an altoholic as you know, but boosting and getting at least 1 job to max took a lot of the self imposed pressure off of me. Maybe try focusing on one class long enough to hit max then go alt crazy after that? Trying to level everything to 60 first would be awful. Rotations just start getting interesting at 60. So before that you're just playing a bunch of boring rotations over and over again. You need that taste of what a job can be at max to help motivate you through the lower levels.
@@Tsetzuko Busy with PoE atm, then will go back to WoW as I still need to do the 9.1 stuff and unlock flying then I have so many alts to level there too, not sure if I'll try FFXIV again - if I do tho I'll keep that in mind :)
You might not be ff14 customer service, but you're a bit psychic. Lol. This was exactly what I was looking for to decide on the route to go when buying the game. I've ended up starting on the free trial version. I didn't realize the restrictions when I started though. Looking forward to the unrestricted play and the expansion. Thanks again!
Brilliant. I have a question....I've never played an MMO, but watched the Baldurian Asmondgold having fun so thought I'd give an MMO a try. A few days later......Trial version Level 32 Lancer and I'm hooked. As the packages are currently on sale - £14 for the FINAL FANTASY® XIV ONLINE COMPLETE EDITION [PC DOWNLOAD] version. Seems like a no brainer..... My questions before I purchase: 1 - Will I be overwhelmed with the 'full' experience? Does it unlock a lot more than the Free Trial or just some QOLife stuff? There's already a lot to learn IMO. 2 - Will the three expansions auto install and change my experience? Are the mechanics altered at all? 3 - Can I install the expansions separately? As in, when I've finished ARReborn, can I enter the Heavensword code?, or do the expansion elements only unlock when the previous expansion is complete? Cheers for this video. Extremely helpful. THANK YOU!
1) Not really. Not from just getting off the free trial. QoL stuff. 2) Pretty sure they auto-install, but for the most part you don't get to the stuff for that expansion until you're leveled up to it and have done the MSQ to that point. 3) I think they all install at once. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!
Question I bought the base game FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn, come back to play because of free trial. Now what should I purchase? Buy ENDWALKER pack that will have all expansion but I’m missing Heavensward. What to do?
If I buy the starter edition does the price of the complete edition lower when I need it? I was waiting for Endwalker to come out because people were saying it would be included in the $59 edition, but it is not yet according to their website. I have put about 60 hours into the starter edition and am starting to hit the wall.
Thank you for this. Any guesses on how long it will be before the "complete edition" will be complete, with endwalker included? Will it increase in price? Kind of thinking of staying trial until then.
The price should not increase and the complete edition should include Endwalker very shortly after launch. The complete edition is basically always the starter ($20) plus the latest expansion ($40) in a bundle. The lastest expansion requires the starter and includes all previous expansions. So if you do the trial until Endwalker and get the complete edition, or grab the base game now and preorder Endwalker, if should be the same price either way. The difference is having to pay a subscription but getting the 30% xp earrings if you get it now vs no subscription and no earrings. Hope that clears it up a bit and I'm happy the vid was helpful. Thanks for watching!
So, in my case, will I be forced to wait until November?. Because I can kind of buy only one expansion through Steam and they don't release a full edition ever, there's always only one expansion and it complicates me because buying something for dollars is very difficult, my country's currency is different and the only place that I can buy is in steam, which makes me very sad with the part of Square enix that doesn't give me more options when buying, like buying in that country's currency on the website
It sounds like waiting until Endwalker comes out and just playing the base game + Heavensward expansion until then is the best option. That's still a ton of content to play between now and when Endwalker comes out.
Hi , i want to buy the starter , and we get stormblood for free until 8 may , can i still buy endwalker and got shadowbringer ? Or i have to buy the expansion one buy one ? Thx
