Which Watch Subscription is Best (February 2021) 

Just got my first WG black subscription box and I found it to be a brand name watch that actually felt well crafted. So far so good!

I was hesitant to get a Watch Gang subscription, but the WG Black watches are pretty decent overall. I'm 3 months in, and 2 are great, while the third is just too big for me. My son is currently on his 5th watch of WG Original tier, and I've found 4 of 5 watches to be decent (minus the straps), with the 5th just trying to do too much at too low a price point, where it accidentally did everything poorly. I'm not overly impressed with the other watch subscriptions you've had... they all look comparable to the Walmart no-name brand watches that I see often. But either way, great video, and thanks for posting it!

Well presented. Thanks for the valuable information. You saved me from ending up with that collection. I was tempted to subscribe to a watch subscription service because of the novelty of getting something in the mail and since life isn't quite back to normal yet, so it would have been done as a self-treat of some sort.

You are basically the "Coyote" Peterson (the guy who gets stung by bugs in the name of science) of subscription watch boxes.... I don't know how you do it ... but I am glad you are taking one for the team. Many of these no named watches are "brand your own" Alibaba specials.

I have been a subscriber for a few months now. I have the black tier which is $100 a month and all the watches I have gotten are brand new, look nice and I did get my moneys worth for the watches. If I had to buy them in a store they would have been somewhere between $150 and $250. They were not discontinued models, they were all current but they were all from microbrands. Two were automatic movement and the other one was a crystal movement. I might have to try the more expensive one just one time to see what I get for around $300.

The Casio is clearly the best. WG might have the next best watch, but it isn't twice as good as the worst watch. For 65 dollars you can find an automatic Seiko 5, Orient TriStar or a Citizen EcoDrive.

Save your Money and Buy Something you'll enjoy Wearing, instead. Of possibly being Stuck with a Watch you don't like and now have to try to Sell. Just one man's humble opinion.

TLDR - dont sign up to a watch box subscription because they all suck

You could’ve taken the roughly $225 you spent on garbage and bought a decent Seiko or microbrand auto that would last and add value to your collection.

Complete waste of money
