If you want to vent your Whirlpool Low Profile Microwave out the roof and can't find the information you need, this may be the video for you. The factory directions are a bit confusing because although it does not seem like it, they continue to the next page. Other videos show that you need to rotate the motor in the back if you want to vent through the wall or roof. The Low Profile microwave only needs the panels in the front to be switched and the damper to be installed at the rear for venting to the outside. This video shows how to make these fast and easy adjustments in less than 2 minutes.
Also, if you are replacing a hood with a fan over the stove, be aware you NEED A DEDICATED ELECTRICAL LINE FROM THE BREAKER BOX to plug the microwave into. Do not plug the microwave into the outlet that was used by the exhaust fan!
