My refrigerator was stuck in the cooling off mode. Some of the kids from a birthday party at my home must of been messing with the controls. This video saved me a bunch of money, time and a headache. I read in the manual that if you lower the temperature in the freezer, it helps make the ice faster when it's during the summer weather. I'm going to try that because our ice production has slowed way down right when our temperatures are 100 degrees or higher outside, making it warmer in the house and we are using more ice.

I'm wondering how to make that display show the current temp setting so you know exactly what the fridge and freezer are currently at? Have you had any experience with this? Same exact control panel for mine.

You should do a video on using the defrost feature of this frig, it is also easy and can help people.

Thanks for reviewing the Whirlpool settings. It was informative. Is there a sound setting for the open door notification? The open door notification beeps when the door is open for a prolonged duration of time. However the audio beep is kind of a low series of beeping. It would be nice to up the sound.

My menu has a ice maker “off” option but not a “on” option and its not making ice? So frustrating

I have the same fridge. My fridge is freezing my food. I called someone out today and he said I needed a new air filter and needed to change it often (which I had no idea) he also looked into the freezer and said I needed a new freezer panel because it was freezing. He was going to charge me upfront $420, said parts would take maybe a week to get here. Also said I had to turn off my fridge and freezer. I wasn't happy and didn't understand why so I sent him on his way and want to get another opinion.

Our refrigerator does not have a door display. The temperature is displayed on top of the inside of the refrigerator. There are numbers from 1-7. Our new refrigerator won’t cool lower then 50 degrees. Freezer is 42 and has melted everything. We don’t know if 7 is a higher or lower temperature.
