Hi Ams! You're looking fiercely beautiful today, most likely reflecting your ruthless new attitude! I've been with you since June 2022, that's when joined WW and was looking for inspiration on RU-vid and found you! I have made it to goal and now trying to maintain 45 pounds down from where I started. All I can say is "hang with it", it really does work, you will get where you want to be. Maintenance is a whole other thing...I have never done this successfully over time, but I too, am determined to stay where I am and it's all a mindset of this is my life of consistent habits and tracking! You will do whatever you set your mind to! I'm here in the trenches with you. Congrats on your success and the success I see in your future! 😉❤️
Very good chat. I just started watching. While I’m in my 60’s I can still relate to all the struggles. I started WW in 2007 did well till I hit a plateau. Left in2017 due to no more loss but gaining. On my own was terrible… I believe because no accountability. I started back in 2021 and started to see loss again. But I had a major upset with the sudden loss of my husband of 43. Isolating myself I didn’t care what I ate. But the Lord spoke to me and said 2024 is a new year get busy. I do want to say that even though we all struggle with weight loss consistently we need to enjoy the process. It didn’t go on over night. It’s not going to come off over night. So we must learn to enjoy the learning process and keep moving forward. It’s not just weight we learn about but our mindsets as well. Looking forward to next meal advice. Thank you for sharing. Sending much support. 🙏❤️🤗
Oh my goodness, I lost my husband in 2017, isolated myself and ate and ate and ate too. I’m 2 weeks in on track too now in 2024. I am 60 now too and love this channel with Amber
Girl your story is so similar to mine! I’m learning to take it slow and love who I am. Your channel inspires me. Thank you for being so real and honest!
I just found your channel and have been bingeing the videos! Your candid honesty is so relatable and appreciated!! Your meal ideas have helped me so much. It's hard to find a WW influencer who eats on the same number of points that I'm on, so this has been amazing. Thank you for being you and sharing this part of yourself. You are an inspiration!
Amber, the self sabotage is something that we all do, when we break a plateau I think sometimes it’s more like a celebration. You’re not alone I want you to know because of you and Nicki gets fit, I rejoined Weight Watchers. I do the Healthi app too, but I , rejoined Weight Watchers because it gives me a different mindset and trying to eat healthier.
Hi I rewatched this video to hear your voice and get that recipe. I know you r taking time off and I hope you r feeling better and able to come back soon.
Thank you for sharing this video. Whenever I feel like I’m falling off I’ve watched your videos explaining what works tips and just laying it out there. I needed this video this weekend. Down 11.4 since Jan 1. Scale isn’t going fast enough. I tell my self slow and steady wins the race. Keep continuing to make these videos. People like myself need them.
Yay!! You go girl!!! Congratulations!! You’ve been such an inspiration to me! I’ve been struggling the last two weeks, but I am recommitting!! Thank you so much for sharing your journey!! ❤
I have this in the crock pot right now (only change was that I added an onion). I was telling my husband about your channel as I just found you 2-3 days ago and I've been binge watching it around the clock. He asked how is you channel any different from "all the others" that I watch and I thought you'd like to hear my answer. I explained that you are the first person who has shared the frustrations of how slow weight loss is with horomone related illnesses. (mine is thyroid related but still...) We also share similar life stories- I too was on WW a few years ago and just came back in November. I'm a little "behind" you on numbers (14 lbs lost) BUT it is like running alongside someone in a marathon who is going through the leg cramps and struggling with the how far away the finish line is....as opposed to the other channels where they have lost 100+ lbs are cheering me on from the 'finish line.' I hope my analogy makes sense because I have never run a marathon LOL. I am such a huge fan right now and I want you to know how much I am encouraged by you being vulnerable on your journey. THANK YOU!
THIS IS EVERYTHING! 😭 this is why I wanted to do it. Everyone else didn’t start their channel until they had lost the weight. It’s easy to romanticize it once it’s over. I’m absolutely in the trenches with you and I’m so glad that sharing my story is helping encourage others. Yall encourage me to keep going. I’m grateful that you took the time to say something kind. We can do this…. Slowly…. But we are still moving!
I’m new to your channel. Just started watching a couple days ago. I wanted to see this post for the chili recipe, but man did you bring it on the talk!! I can relate to everything you talked about, except no idea if I have PCOS(?). I love how you eat a good amount of “clean” foods but also incorporate some processed foods. And if I heard you right, I’d think you were saying that you started your channel because “why not?!”. Gives me hope that I might one day start my own channel. Thank you so much, I can’t wait to follow your journey!
Good talk! It's funny I watched this just when I needed it. I realized about 7 years ago that I sabotage my weight lost journey every time I start to see success. Hearing that I am not alone really helped. Thank you for your honest real talk.
Man, can i ever relate to the self sabotage. I do it all the time! If i recognize that I'm doing something right or making progress, I always inevitably do a 180 and go backwards. Not sure why I do this either, but it is so disheartening and makes me feel like I'll never make any lasting progress. 😢
Thank you for your chat and the delicious chili! Have been looking for a chili like this. You are an inspiration for this 72 year old starting again on weight watchers. Be happy and successful. We love your videos.
You know the orange fluff everyone is making? My mother in law used to make something similar using jello mix, pineapple chunks, mandarin oranges, cool whip and she said the recipe called for cottage cheese. I’m fixing to make it and use fat free and sugar free and it will have protein in it.
For some reason when I add it into my “create recipe” or even just adding the calories and nutrients from the site, it’s at least 5 points for 1 1/2 cups. Am I doing something wrong?
Are you using fat free half and half and the 1/3 less fat cream cheese? Where are the other points coming from? In my recipe those are the only 2 ingredients with points. I add toppings separately.
I love this video! First I def need to try the recipe. It sounds delicious. But girl, the last few minutes of your video, you make me want to get up and go and chase ruthlessly too!!!!! 🔥
Loved this. I do the same thing. Make some progress and then self sabotage. I have no idea why I do that. I’m newer here to your videos and I love them! Thank you for everything you share!
I made the crockpot version of the white chicken chili last weekend and we ate on it all week. It is so good! I am a relatively new viewer; thanks for sharing your journey.
I m doing ww this year this was my first week , it is hard for me to lose weight but I'm tracking and doing everything to get to my goal I feel the same things you said happened to me in the past . I hope I can do better this time we can do it.😊
Oh this looks so good. Any hearty warm dishes are welcome right now. I’m just ready for Springtime and warmer days…. I’m just 9 days away from my Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm trip with my Godson. Between that and training with H‑E‑B I’ve been getting so excited I’ve fell off the wagon quite a few times these last few weeks. I’m promising myself I’ll get back on track after I get back. I’ll be jumping right back into your videos, tips and recipes. From the bottom of my heart thank you for continuing what you do it matters!!
No offense but 99% of you weight watchers girls have been doing this literally for years. Clearly something is off which is not being sustainable. There’s only a select few who actually succeed long term on here from WW. Take a good look at yourself and be honest with yourself.
The day I get upset about it taking too long to loose 43lbs is the day I choose something less sustainable and mentally destructive. The fact that you can do it for years means it can be sustainable. Different things work for different people and that doesn’t mean I’m dishonest.
Built bars are generally 3-4 points but find out before you buy because some of the newer flavors can be up to 5 points. Quest bars are great if you don’t want to have to order online because your grocery store probably already has them. The oatmeal cookie with chocolate chips is my fav and 3 points. Barebells are around 5 points but they are delicious so I save those for when I have a bid sweet tooth and a few extra points.
OMG, you are amazing. So glad I found you, wonderful inspiration. I'm not a member of WW, but I have the tools from years ago. I'm 76 and not where I want to be. But watching you and your recipes, I think I can do it. Thank you for a great video
Amber, thank you for sharing your heart, struggles, and triumphs with us! I can totally relate. Thank you for your channel, seriously, thank you. It is helping me more than you know on my journey 🤭
Your chat today could have been mine, spot on conversation. I will tell you, tat at 77 I am still playing this game BUT have lost 20#’s in the last 51 days & have been journaling everyday. This time it will be different, learning to not deprive myself , instead, I plan or replan my day having something in moderation that I want & journal it. To my surprise sometimes something I feel would be a special treat ends up that the points are doable & can even fit in. my plan on a regular basis. I am done yo-yoing & determined to make this a lifestyle change. Let’s not sabotage ourselves this time. Thank you for sharing it helps me.
