Four episodes into this new series and we think it's going pretty well. Behind-the-scenes we have been getting ahead with our planning to make make things as laser-focused as possible and we have some pretty fascinating pieces of history we want to talk about. Hey guys loving the new series so far. This is a little of topic but have been trying to get you to see it in the WW2 videos without any luck so far. I was wondering if/when you guys would start covering the small arms of WW2 like you did with C&Rsenal during the Great War. For WW2 the variety of small arms that countries used was very great. Far greater than the guns used during WW1. So I think it would be incredibly interesting to see the small arms each country in WW2 covered on your channel. Just a suggestion but maybe you guys can recruit Ian and Karl from Forgotten Weapons/InRange or C&Rsenal again to do videos with you guys on the guns of WW2 such as you guys have Chieftain doing the tanks of WW2 for you. I know they were in at the start of the project but fell out after it took time to get everything for your new channel setup. But now that everything is setup I think it would be great for you guys or some other team helping you guys out to show your audience the firearms of WW2.

Alluded to in the commentary but the Communist Labor Party was dominated by native-born Americans and was interested in US politics, its rival consisted of mostly European immigrants who were somewhat cut off from American life. It may be typical that John Reed was with the CLP while the CP was led by Louis Fraina, who had been born in Italy. The Comintern told both groups to unite.

Talk about a title. This was a much better covering of the race riots in 1919 than any of my history textbooks. To see these acts forgotten while the peaceful protests against the same forms of violence against the innocent are demonized worse than the men who participated in the Red Summer. Did you that Eisenhower changed his look to be more presidential. As TV's became more common in the second half of 1940s Eisenhower knew that he could not rely on radio like FDR did. He went to television. Like now politicians can not rely on TV anymore they go to the internet.

@Basil Ramel ok, just because someone believes Black Lives Matter, doesn't mean he or she is "pro-black" in the pejorative sense you mean; more that one believes Black Lives Matter Also. Secondly, why would wanting all people, regardless of skin color, to be treated equally imply moving to Africa? Why not assume the movement wants the United States to actually function according to the stated values of the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and writings of the founding fathers?

Not gonna lie, when season 2 of B2W was announced, I was skeptical that it would interest me. But since season 1 got me into the interwar years in the first place I decided to tune in this time as well. Having followed each episode so far I feel like you guys would have the skill to make a 15 min video about different sizes of paper sheets interesting. Overall great length, presentation and interesting topics. Hopefully by spring next year I'll have a salary again, in which case I'll join the TimeGhost Army in a heartbeat!

FYI: AAfter watching the way Wehrmacht troops & vehicles raced up & down German Autobahns, Eisenhower in follow-up proposed the "Defense & Interstate Highway System." That full name was for many years on everything that pertained to it. You can still occasionally find in on new materials.

The bridges over the interstates were made high enough for tank carrying vehicles to pass underneath and the roadbeds strong enough to bear the weight. Hence the increase in size of trucks after the complete of the network.

Like the shout-out for the Lincoln Highway project - the Army Corps joined the highway in Gettysburg and traveled to San Francisco on that route which opened in 1913. The bridge across the Delaware in my hometown still has the only "Lincoln Highway" sign I've ever seen.

Maybe you can do a series on the reconstruction period and how the Lincoln Republicans were supportive of black people and Democrats were not, then they somehow switched places and our country became the racist country that is often spoken of when the early and mid 20th century is discussed.

@@sapereaude5121 With the world now acting more and more as a global entity it cannot be halted without very extreme measures and a move towards isolationism. The question at the moment is which spreads faster, xenophobia or social stability. If xenophobia spreads faster authoritarianism spreads with it, this because the measures necessary to halt immigration and cultural shifts are extreme, as shown by the Trump administration policies. Granted that those policies are meek compared to what would be necessary to completely halt cultural and demographical shifts to retain the current status quo. The spread of social stability would be necessary in both destination and origen countries for immigration to halt in a non authoritarian way. The latter of the two options takes a lot of time, and with large swaths of people in destination countries being impatient and mis/disinformed the former is more likely to occur, as we are seeing throughout western societies. If you think that the suppression and iradication of the Uygur people in China is extreme, well, that is exactly what a government must do to maintain a cultural status quo. It's not pretty.

@@sapereaude5121 No it's not due to Trump. it's due to xenophobia outpacing stabilizing social changes and, of course, a very recent a history of division and racism which clearly still permeates US culture and the US society. The US has a huge, seemingly irreconcilable schism in its culture based on previous segregation policies and the mentalities that those policies enforced. Trump is simply a symptom of deeply engrained problems in the US. And he has really shown himself capable of playing people against each other and reinforcing the schisms that already existed. The instability of the US has always been there, the one uniting factor since the second world war has always been to have a nation wide external enemy. Now that the US lacks such opposition internal problems are coming to the fore. That's my take from the outside.

The politics of the day became enmeshed in the Haarmann case. Haarmann had worked as a police informer and this may have delayed discovery of his murders as the police thought him useful. The SPD controlled the Hannover police department and the local Communist daily newspaper wrote extensively on the links between Haarmann and the police, and tied this in with the SPD, referring to the SPD as the "Haarmaenner" or "Haar-men." The newspaper's circulation rose when it was writing about this kind of thing.

You miss a change to explain that “white” as used for these times meant WASP. White Anglo-Saxon Protestant. The Klan, which was already founded , was a much anti-Jewish and Anti-Catholic as it was anti- colored (red, yellow, or black).

When I was a boy I remember not being afraid up until 9/11 and before that I was still tasked with helping take care of my brother and sister. It seems like fear has permeated adulthood so ruthlessly and its basically made everything look like a joke. You can really see where the radicals were coming from with the sheer level of economic impact that The Great War had on top of the continuous mismanagement of their own pandemic. Since then it seems like so much has changed and yet so much hasn't either.
