"In his April 2 appearance on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight, Mark Steyn praised Jean Raspail’s The Camp of the Saints, a novel described by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as a “favorite racist fantasy of the anti-immigrant movement” and “revered by American white supremacists.” Steyn claimed the novel “actually predicted what is happening before our eyes.” The novel describes “an invasion of France and the white Western world by a fleet of starving, dark-skinned refugees.”
Steyn previously cited the racist novel in a prior appearance on Fox News, when he asked if The Camp of the Saints was “playing out simply incrementally with smaller boats” across Europe.”*

I'm not saying what they should or shouldn't be doing, I'm starting a fact... I learned to clean up after myself when i was about 4 or 5. And i would never go to another country, and expect to be supported by their tax payers. I fought for this country, if they want to go ahead and give the Corps 4 years of their lives, I'd be happy to call them fellow Americans.... But to come here illegally and expect to live off my taxes, that's what i call a parasite...

@Tarik Pasic because I'm from Detroit, and next to Detroit is this city called Dearborn. And they beg family to come here and stay with them because they get about 875$per person in the house. And a cousin of mine lives in Arizona, in which they are fleeing by mass because they are being forced to learn English, and adapt to our culture. My experience doesn't come from cnn, it is a reality!

Quick note for Cenk who loves to talk about "white guilt" ad nauseam: Turkey was a collaborator of Nazi Germany during WWII. Turkey provided logistical and other - quite significant - support to Nazi troops in that part of Europe, including, but not limited to, fueling Luftwaffe bombers which completely destroyed many cities in eastern Europe and Russia along with their almost always completely civilian population. This is not mention Turkish Holocaust-style genocide of Armenians and, before that, Greeks, and ethnic cleansing atrocities committed by Turks against these and other peoples, including in the Balkans, before and after Gates of Vienna. I have never heard Cenk neither apologizing for that, nor calling to hold Turkey and Turks accountable. But he always talks about "white supremacy", being open and obvious non-white supremacist himself. Why's that?

i'm sure there's much more to the book than Cenk can unpack in 8 minutes, and unfortunately using the southern poverty law center (which knows nothing about the south, poverty or the law) makes it clear that you don't intend on making a credible argument either. not saying anyone should read the book either, although if you wanna learn what its about you'd probably learn a lot more by reading it as opposed to listening to anyone on the right or left lecture it to you

nafaidni I watched this whole segment on tucker carlson and what he was saying was that white supremacists are citizens and a problem the government has to accept, illegal immigrants are a problem the government has chosen to accept. But of course TYT takes just the clip they want so they can push their narrative. He even mentions the guy is an immigrant from Canada as if to show us he's a hypocrite but that only makes sense of you're like cenk and don't acknowledge a difference between legal and illegal immigration. By the way, I'm a progressive , I'm an immigrant and it's so unfair to my family who live in worse conditions than Mexicans but keep getting pushed back because the US can't increase the number of legal immigrants so they can accommodate the illegal ones

The Camp of the Saints is a 1973 novel that isn't far from what people as diverse as Douglas Murray and Sam Harris (hardly right wing) have been saying is actually happening. European culture is being swamped by immigration from Arab nations which bring with them an antithetical religion to Christianity, an age old grudge against the West and hostility from immigrants to adapting to their new home. You've all seen it for yourselves (don't lie) and yet you pretend that because someone is warning you of this dangerous situation they are racists. When are you going to be honest with yourselves? This shit is happening ... NOW, and you better come up with better solutions than just doing nothing. You fools say you love your country but you don't care what happens to its culture or sociology. I came from eastern Europe 18 years ago! Initially I had a green card a few years after the application became a US citizen! My children were born here! For the first time when I voted, I voted for Obama, also for the second time! The last time I voted for Hillary! With most of the people of any race, religion, nation, I did not have problems but I had a bad experience with a small percentage of non-white people! For example, if you go to an institution, you feel that some African American women or Hispanic women[or guys] are very unkind towards the white[you see hate in their eyes][ and very kind to the non-white people!:) So "both sides" are not angels,this shit is everyday, everywhere! This society must confront racism in all directions!

Interesting name he chose for his RU-vid channel: THE YOUNG TURKs = the exact name of the organized group who inflicted the Armenian genocide in 1915. His deluded sidekick claims he denounced the article he wrote in 1991 in which he denied the genocide happened, but clearly he still holds up to this believe. The only thing he denounced was being an historically informed person, which is not the same as admitting the atrocities done to the Armenian people by the YOUNG TURKS. At some point he half mouth said that it's a fact that Armenians were driven out of Turkey, but anyone can clearly see that he is a GENOCIDE DENIER.

While Tucker is a ridiculous person and Mark Steyn has his problems, I watched those clips, and the conversation was slightly more nuanced than what Cenk is showing here. I don't know if Mark Steyn really stands by that book 100%. Honestly, I think he quotes books just to sound smarter to the FOX audience. Tucker introduced him as a "real thinker" (as opposed to Chris Cuomo in a clip Tucker played to start the segment). Every time Mark Steyn quotes a book, Tucker gets this big boner, and you can she his expression change to "oh, Mark, you're so smart!". But Mark's main point was this: an influx of immigrants changes culture, and American citizens ought to have a say in that decision. He also indicates that as much as it sucks that they're white supremacists, we're stuck with them cuz they're Americans. There's a valid point in there, but he and Tucker intentionally don't address the issue of how the GOP manufactures fear of immigrants, as if they're terrorists.

What's exactly your point? Mark Steyn did not mention anything about oozing or semen. But you don't know. You do not care. You are one of those self-appointed "progressives" who have never watched Tucker's show, never read anything written by Mark Steyn, certainly never read "The Camp of the Saints", but who hate it, with oozing passion. HuffPost clowns managed to find a page in the book where the word "semen" in mentioned, the only page in 300+ page book, and got obsessed over it. Cenk does not read books. HuffPost tells him everything he needs to "believe", so he's got obsessed with that semen, as instructed. All these leftist liberal activists got stuck in that semen, it seems, and cannot get out of it. Instead, they talk about it over and over again. Could have been an interesting case for Dr. Freud....
