This is great I was testing last night this same version but different win condition approaches. A few really good OCG players used fiendsmith white woods that you can search for on twitter. They were using the engine to make beatrice to dump anti-spell and resetting through diabelle synchro to beat board breakers. If board breakers are going to be good this line is insane.

i tested this in versions where i main triple skill drain, but one thing i didnt like is that you only feel fully secure under drain if you also have blazar up, and i dont think there's space for a crimson package plus fsmith without cutting other useful extra deck monsters anti spell isnt reliant on the blazar as a win condition, so that's probably better against power spells specifically, especially if we see lightning storms, drnm, evenly popular. maybe what id do is cut amritara+reframing from the side and put beatrice+anti-spell in the side instead, since anti-spell might be better than reframing against breakers anyhow

I can help with Yubel (one of my favorite decks). This will be long, I hope it helps you understand how the deck works so that you can counter it. First of all, this was indeed a "Yubel deck" and not "Fiend Pile using a Yubel engine" along with Fiendsmith. This means the deck was probably on boardbreakers (Ogre is used to counter IP and Apollo that way), and potentially Super Poly if we take into account running 2 OG Yubels, multiple Pain and especially Eternal Favorite (the trap that revives also becomes a Super Poly with OG Yubel on the field). [@14:45] The initial play for Phantom seems costly, but is well explained by Droll being so high impact it's almost a turn-ender. Again, I assume the hand was weak because they searched for Samsara. Note that I can see only Spirit being used as fusion material because Omega is overbloated with needless animation ending up tiring for the eyes and making it harder to follow what happens, unlike Master Duel (or even EDO) that have way cleaner UI. Omega rant finished. In other cases, popping Yubel in deck with Throne would do the same without depleting the hand. For Droll, it stop Pain (search is fine, the pop is that matters more), Yama (we lose another way to pop) giving us Sharvara for Rage to become a free material via Chamber or Escape to become another interruption, Throne adds to hand before summoning so it can't do that from deck (only gy) and in Fiend Link it completely walls the Fiendsmith engine. That's why I expect Droll to be mained next format.

[@14:50] Using Veiler on Samsara can be mega punished by Squirmer in hand (the best extender of the deck), since they can go for Yama then revive Samsara and use the effect then. Again, the use of Phantom immediately shows a weak hand if Dark Beckoning Beast isn't the next play, however if Squirmer was the other fiend that got returned along Spirit for Phantom it would just mean a really bad play. From my experience, a single Veiler is a better trade on Yama preventing the safe play of the unchained trap, especially against boardbreakers, and later against Fiend Link is very good on Sequentia. Using it early will stop 1 card combo of normal summon Samsara or Beckoning (or Activate Gates into Beckoning), but the deck has Throne/Squirmer/Pain/Fiendsmith as extenders to the normal summon. Ash on the other hand is very solid against Samsara and even Throne, preventing the first attempt at accessing the Yubel engine. Even on Pain can be good if you also have Evenly in hand, stopping them from floating and getting Squirmer then removing Pain from the game since many lists shift to 1, but it's very risky since Yama will allow them to pop Spirit and continue the combo. Nib however is almost unplayable against a competent player and will only punish super greedy individuals that go for Cross Sheep or 1 card combo for Irae/Caesar + Varudras + Phantom + Apo that completely burns any followup (all 3 phantoms) and respects no handtrap.
@babrad
@babrad Месяц назад
[@15:05] In the chain of CL1 Spirit, CL2 Throne, CL3 Squirmer they popped their own Yubel (full right MMZ), while Thone was summoning Terror (the 2nd form) and Yubel is a "when effect" so even if they ran a 2nd Terror (none does) Yubel would miss timing and not float. At this point they robbed themselves of a Varudras in the end board (the rank10 omni negate). The comment about "card economy" while valid in other cases, it's not here because just like SnAsh printing the entire board on its own, 2 out of Throne/Beckoning/Samsara can do the exact same AND have Phantom as insurance. Phantom for the deck should be treated as a CBTG that will also give you a free body and not a -2. Note here that Phantom can't use another Phantom as material, because the summon treats them as Fusion materials despite not being a Fusion Summon.
@babrad
@babrad Месяц назад
[@15:30] For a typical play, the end board could have been Phantom + Varudras + Chamber (Rage in GY) + Apo (for 2) or Phantom + Varudras + Rage + Escape + Muck + Samsara, if you played a more experienced player. I can write you down the combo lines if needed. In either case, even if they didn't negate Prosp with Varudras, they would have: Case 1 [Chamber] -> Rage into SP that is protected from battle since you have to attack Phantom Case 2 [Escape] -> A pop with Escape, Yama in gy reviving Rage and if they wanted to pop Varudras and get another nontargeting pop (Varudras 4th effect), while Rage would get them a fiend from gy for followup. Then Rage is free to take another body and make SP that can get 1/2 removals on her own just like Case 1. Note that if they remove Phantom instead of SP with her 2nd effect, Throne would activate giving them a free lvl10 Yubel on the board, such as Spirit, not only enabling Pain again to force attacks but also set Eternal Favorite on your turn, and a guaranteed Phantom. It was played horribly. IMPORTANT: Varudras is busted, it has 4 effects. 1) Omni negate that doesn't destroy, 2) after the negate detach a material to pop ANY card on the field (including yours), 3) pop ANY card on the field (including yours) on attack declaration if it has a material, 4) if it gets popped by any means, it pops ANY card on the field (including yours). Literally the Xyz form on Unchained Abomination for 2024. You should read it and learn how to interact with it.

About being unable to OTK, after watching them run Accesscode they probably don't run the trains that would immediately burn you for 2k then attack for 6k (Gustav Maxx into Liebe). [@16:25] The play was to pop Spirit with their 2nd Ogre since it would be discarded anyway, CL1 Yama in GY to revive Spirit, CL2 Throne get Terror, CL3 Spirit get another Yubel. Make Varudras with Spirit + Yubel (3k ATK rank10) for the omni negate. With the set Chamber they could revive Rage, then Rage (2) + Apo (1) + Terror (1) make Accesscode with 6300 ATK and safely otk under 1 monster negate and 1 omni negate. If they wanted to pop your backrow, Access has 1 pop by banishing Rage, and Varudras has another effect to pop a card at the start of damage step. In case they run Chaos Angel instead of Accesscode, they make Varudras first (3000), make Muck with Apo + Terror (1000), revive Chaos Summoning Beast with Muck (discard is the trap Favorite they set with Spirit), make Chaos Angel with Phantom + Chaos Summoning Beast (3500), then make Phantom with Terror and Chaos Summoning beast in GY. But this is 7500 damage? Chamber revives Rage for +1800. Even if they don't run Chaos Angel, Varudras (3000) + Muck (1000) + Rage (by chamber 1800) + Anguish (2400, reviving Rage with Muck and using it + Apo/Phantom) or any other link they play is enough. So the "if I don't put monsters on the board they can't otk" isn't true at all, even for pure Yubel, and especially for Fiend Link.

[@16:55] Again huge misplay by the Yubel player. Note here that Samsara changes the effect to "Destroy 1 Yubel monster on the field", so if they use it first you can pop their Phantom (or your own Yubels in the mirror). At least they didn't do that. But they could have Super Poly-ed your entire board. Phantom pops Spirit for a free Yubel on the board instead of Yubel that will float into Terror taking away Throne's float. [@17:02] Samsara as CL3 makes Yubel miss its timing so they lose another body. This is also the point I understood the player is a button masher and not thinking about moves. Can you find it yourself? The answer will be in the end. But it still was salvageable by Yama reviving and popping the same Spirit, so in the next chain we have CL1 Spirit to summon the OG Yubel and CL2 Throne to add to hand Terror. The summon is optional so that way we get a discard while Eternal Favorite is now live with OG on the field. So [@17:35] Super Poly the entire board then their Rage/SP deal your push. In retrospect, they shouldn't even go that hard against you. Phantom on Asteria was fine, but why negate Toy Soldier that has to get you Toy Box instead of any LIGHT 4 extender. As soon as you drop Box on the board, Rage removes Asteria and banishes Box with SP, then Samsara is still on the board to stop the extender and even better now SP can trigger Throne without needing Yama for the Super Poly play I described above.

Is it possibile to have the first combo but keeping the desirae Omni negate? So you could protect from nibiru. With fiend smith is even a free Beatrice, it comes useful to send whatever trap you like post side and add it back with diabell

Nice job once again!!! U've made me curious abt other engines mixing with White Woods/White Forest....which brings me to my question...how do you feel abt the Magistus engine? it won't be a full engine (unless if u want to fit it), but I'm specifically looking at the lvl 4 light spellcaster (that's searchable in White Woods) and the extra deck necessities and the quick play....(potential alt win con?) Your thoughts are appreciated!
@BimYGO
@BimYGO Месяц назад
the upside of maining rilliona is that soldier can search it (btw this means soldier wont be searching rcia, which can change/block some combo lines, like the apo on 5 without normal summon) is that you could play one magistus invocation so that rilliona + spellcaster = aiwass aiwass is a very strong interaction since you keep their monster forevre and can use it as material for summoning whatever you want but there are two problems: aiwass plays into breakers just like apo does, and more importantly, magistus invocation is a hard brick while rilliona is also a hard brick if you want to normal summon anything else i dont think its worth making your main deck ratios worse however, if you want some alt win cons, i would recommend just the ed monsters: zoroa specifically floodgates fusions or synchros (branded, tenpai). not sure if its worth playing an xyz since thats not as meta relevant rn also keep in mind that zoroa loses to breakers too, so if branded/tenpai just negate or remove the zoroa with some non engine, then the floodgate is gone you can also consider 2/3 side deck slots for zoroa +aiwass/vahram so you dont hurt your main deck when you dont evne know if youre going first

Awesome showcase of this variant of the deck. I was gonna ask what is your take on a White Wood Bystial type variant? It gives access to dis pater and Light/Dark Chaos angel as well as easy level 12 access with lubellion
@BimYGO
@BimYGO Месяц назад
ive done some testing with regained and 3 lubellion to try to play a more mid range resource game with dis pater. i think its not very good because you have to play prosp at 3 for lubellion access to be somewhat consistent, and dis pater alone isnt amazing when you cant guarantee that your opponent starts turn with a banished card i think what might be better is giving up on lubellion/regained and just playing bystials assuming a fsmith heavy meta. i doubt it would be better than playing fsmith in ww, though you could maybe play 1 tractus, no prosp, then 1 magna 3 druis and dis pater in case you draw a bystial. thats a meta call tho, wouldnt do it otherwise
@christophspringdemellochri8537
@christophspringdemellochri8537 Месяц назад
@@BimYGO The bystial packege works well only if you are also playing runick because, since you can search alluber with lubellion, you can bridge to white woods with lubellion + any runick.
@BimYGO
@BimYGO Месяц назад
@@christophspringdemellochri8537 i dont really like runick cards that much tbh and you really have almost no space left to add in anything that isnt ww/toy after playing the minimum 18 runick pieces i dont think that bystials are "only" good in that scenario though; we've seen multiple metas where bystials were in everyone's main or side because they worked as hand traps that provide bodies and interactions with yubel fsmith being possibly tied for best deck, and fsmith being possibly the best version of snake eyes, it would be entirely reasonable to main bystials without a more specific gameplan - especially in our deck because we happily make synchro 10s with bystials. however, i might rather multiple chaos angels than dis pater, not sure

Thoughts on soulkius in this version? If you send a s/t you can trigger Asterias GY effect and requiem can be the s/t you send for Asteria. So you’re not really losing card economy.
@BimYGO
@BimYGO Месяц назад
fabled soulkius? card looks horrendous ngl. lurrie is good because it works without setup, soulkius requires setup and in a best case scenario is a 'win more' card. its like playing magicians souls except even worse because youd never want to draw it and youd very rarely even want to search it

Any Opinions on Fiendsmith + small Cenutrion Package?
@BimYGO
@BimYGO Месяц назад
with one tractus and no prosperity i think its possible; 1 stand up, 1 primera, 1 trudea, 1 gargoyle. you can debate the inclusion of gargoyle, but it does majorly raise the ceiling. then you play 10ish breakers. the real squeeze is the extra deck space, as youll hve no flex spots left and need to run a crimson dragon package of minimum 3 cards. i havent tried it so i cant comment on the gameplay
@techan0maly24

so in all your testing which version do you like best? also which version has the best competitive chance (in your opinion )?
@BimYGO
@BimYGO Месяц назад
i think ill do a video on building for competitive tournaments when we finally get results from the next premier events, which is very soon i think the best version is probably going to depend on whether the format decides on breakers versus hand traps, or whether its split between the two in a full breaker format, some kind of centurion package is likely the most consistent win condition in a hand trap format, a kashtira version might be decent, but the fiendsmith cards are so broken it is probably that if youre going into an event blind, the fiendsmith cards are broken enough to where id say that
