I feel like base white woods in a way feels a bit weak in terms of boards but that’s also probably me being spoiled by how strong white wood centurion is
Man I hope droll falls off this format like last time it was played at the beginning of snake eye format until people realized it was mid at best. It’s such a dumb card.
Saying this before watching the full video but pls do white woods runick. I remember one video you said you didn’t try it out but trust me it’s so good and makes silve a much better starter and you can discard asteria with hugin which you can ss it out later and use it’s effect if you didn’t normal it
Problem with the Runick build is going second, you will need to use your Runicks as disruptions to be able to play at all and that leaves you with no spells to fuel your engine. Board breakers while not ideal going into INFO at least leave you with a better hand economy most of the time. It is really good at going first though, especially if you open Tip, or Slumber plus another Runick.
i have another video showing how to make apo on summon 5 without your normal summon - you can look at that for playing around nib specifically you can also play traptrix rafflesia so if they droll/nib you chain rafflesia sending grave digger's traphole to negate it and burn them for 2k
Love the content men, really helpful the way you explained your reasoning and it was perfectly clear why you added the cards you showed to the video. Quick note: Not sure Time-space trap hole helps against branded since fusion type summons are not inherent and it says when your opponent summon meaning you will miss timing by the time mirror jade hits the field. 2- Also wanted to add a card that actually that might be a replacement to tri-edg, and it's Gaiarmor Dragonshell. Now only it's a dragon(meaning it can give us access to dis pater), it also has a nice effect on field to recycle synchro's if you need it, and it turns itself in grave to equip spell meaning it's a martial for our White forest cards :) Thanks
thanks! time-space trap hole will work as long as the thing bringing out the jade was cl1 and there is nothing else interfering, like branded lost. its not important that it's not an inherent summon. gaiarmor is too minus imo and the extra deck starts to become tight with fsmith cards, so i dont think id play it. tri edge/stardust charge warrior at least give you a draw, or malong cloud beast can help play around droll
Sorry but the guy could do WW trap into diabelze e when u special silvera and then a chaos angel with light and dark It would be a more effective counterplay o that lurry was TOO much important to remove fast as possibile?
im not sure if evreyone knows about the Fiendsmith combos with necroquip, so he may have thought he was shutting down the fiendsmith engine by banishing lurrie however, the problem with the line you suggest (woes special tuner, standup sync tuner+trudea into diabell) is that i can force the diabell to bring out silvera by turning lurrie into requiem and either continuing fs line or turning nib+req into little knight, targeting diabell or box etc i still have full combo in hand after that, so realistically his one interaction had to pray i had no extension
ive heard people say that cent version isnt that good and that WW toy is better becouse of more non engine space, and appearantly drawing any of the cents is bad but like man
toy and cent arent mutually exclusive; there's no version that stops you playing toy. the cent bricks are gargoyle, wake up, and phalanx. wake up and phalanx are not necessary, but gargoyle is a part of the calamity lock combo - technically you can still do it without gargoyle, but then you need to play iris swordsoul and search it off rciela or use multiple toy bodies for cent if you play oath, its an excellent draw. stand up is a great starter/extender too but discarding isnt good. trudea/primera are just okay draws cuz they are combo but they use your normal the smallest engine you could play would be 1primera/1trudea/1standup, but 1 garg is recommended without iris
Droll has always been a menace in the early days of a new format. It’ll find its way out eventually because the best decks play through droll like nothing.
@@boraaksitozgun9912 those were very bad formats though and droll stops them in their tracks. It was also before we had IP into SP and now moon into Fiendsmith combo. The only reason droll was broken in those formats was because it ended their turn. If it doesn’t do that then it’s not worth playing most of the time which is why it usually finds its way out of more recent formats once they are settled.
How do you think about adding the types of drains (Skill, soul, and mind) as a side/control deck. Can it be possible. The reason I ask was that it can do it well with the right combo. For example, ristte can send hand drain to special from hand, and even if skill drain is on the field, it can still search since it's all in one effect. Sorry if I mispronounced the monster name.
I've been thinking about how this kind of list would theoretically work in a Master Duel setting, even though these cards will probably be like 4-5 months before they make it to MD. The key differences, I feel, are Maxx C and Spright Elf. Maxx C is what it is, it probably doesn't warrant further discussion. Aside from that, there's always some ridiculous horseshit that Elf enables, especially since the White Woods maindeck monsters are level 2s, so there may be some plays there, even to the point of not wanting to run Dominus Purge.
2 minutes in and I already greatly disagree with the build. Legend is a mandatory 3 of for white forest. And why tf you playing 18 hand traps 10 is more than enough while not sacrificing consistency with the actual deck itself.
Hey, i often see you struggle showing specific card effects on omega, instead of trying to dodge every cards to show it on the left, you can use your mouse wheel click to show the card directly
Maaaaan i'll probably barely have the budget for white woods, i don't think i'll be able to afford even a single engraver. The few next months of Yu-Gi-Oh will be hard
@@kengilbert1869 I always appreciate feedback more the more specific it is If there's something you think isn't optimal then I'd be happy to hear suggestions on what to improve
I personally opt for 3 Piri Reis Map in favor of those last 3 handtrap slots and settle for a comfortable 15. Seeing Asteria is mission critical to really get your plays off the ground.
I don't agree with this deckbuilding, 18 handtrap is possible in snake eyes due to the numbers of one card combo they have. In White Forest you have 8 cards that do nothing on their own (toy). Moreover, the more I test the more I am against ROTA given the number of people who play droll
i try to show multiple options (18 ht, cent, power spell, etc) because we dont know yet if the meta will become HT or powerspell - or whether itll be a mix of both, in which case will be harder to prepare for snake eyes itself still doesnt even remotely lose to droll and people are going to have to build around that deck and yubel to win at premier events most people dont play at premier events and have to choose your engines/non engines based on local matchups fyi, the mass hand trap version (with prosp for gas usually) usually beats rogue matchups much more easily because it stops their bs early before it gets to the point where you need to drop a dark ruler or whatever
any chance for analyzing bystial white forest? You have easy access to synchro 10s. and dis pater recurs your banished wf cards. the regained engine for draw power seems really strong too ,and running the WF trap to syncrho on opp turn seems nuts. Thoughts?
i would like to play a build with 1 magna 3 druis, but i think lubellion and regained may not be worth the slots because they are not as good going second so they eat into non engine space i also am starting to think prosp might be needed in a ht format as the most flexible form of gas, in which case regained draw will be turned off the turn you establish it. one thing with dis pater is if you banish one WF card off a bystial and bring it back off dis pater, youll turn off your dis pater neg, so youhave to play around that but yea chaos angel with a dark material is incredibly good for protecting apo/sp so i like bystials overall
@@BimYGO You should definitely play Saronir at least at 1 to add off of Magnamhut. Regained goes insane in grind games just constant adding and resummoning. I agree that Lubellion and high Bystial counts are bad and contribute to awkward hands, but if you're playing 3+ Bystials definitely add Regained also.
Fiendsmith are really nice for the resilience as you call it, the only thing is the ED space is a real problema and will basically be a meta call on what people will be as hts, if nib is popular or not bbs and so on to adjust the answers in the extra. but the ability of this deck to do very different stuff is crazy
I’ve been trying a smaller package of just 1 Fiendsmith in the main. And the rank 6 engine to make DDD. No lacramosa, no Sequentia. The extra become so tight and I never see a line where I’d want to make diesarae just to send soldier. DDD plus 2-3 hands traps and woes is a pretty strong board. You don’t worry about bricking as much with lurrie and requiem can summon engraver from hand in a worse case scenario. There are times when I’m able to make chaos angel plus diabell before going into the FS engine too. And if they nib you before you can make the DD you can just use diabell to summon a synchro tuner from GY and make IP. Having easy access to a dark being princess a small Dragon package could be cool for extension plays. Sakitama is also a fine extender that is searchable as well which could make dis pater live. I’m on a heavier bystial package anticipating a lot of FS which acts as extenders on your turn as well.
i think the idea of playing wave king is solid because of the problems we have with ED space right now, and i agree 100% irae is not mandatory. it mostly comes up in grinds where it trades really well every turn regarding extenders, i think id much rather play prosperity than almost anything else ebcause the only thing it breaks is rucia sending a toy to get the toy back, and its more flexible than whatever the draws are youd be getting by playing a specific extender
Great Vid! Could you by any chance do a build without the fiendsmith/centurion engine in your definitive decklist vid? Basically a more budget build, would be much appreciated!
@@BimYGOto add onto the original comment, a budget deck would be very helpful, along with card “upgrades” assuming our budget increases, whether that’s in selecting better spell/ trap cards or adding in new support / archetype. It’s something I wish I saw more in deck lists
I hadn't realized that the new fusion could be summoned by just sending the fiend smith that was equiped with the link 1. I assumed that we needed an additional fiend monster in addition to the fiendsmith that was equipped with link one. Pretty broken
Have you use the bystial package instead of horus? I found it a lot more explosive with more options but definitely can brick and put you in tough spots
i played a version with 3 lubellion 1 regained for a resource loop - but you need prosperity to see it consistently enough and it forces you into power spell because there arent enough spots for hand traps in a fsmith meta, it might be okay to just play bystials and have a more synchro 10 heavy centurion strategy that doesnt fix the funadmental issue with the deck tho, which is a lack of hiqh quality extenders
@BimYGO true, Ive also used Ruddy rose dragon in my side deck to be able to use shifter in a later part of the duel just for doesn't completely be a brick in my hand
Thoughts on playing Gravity Controller to still get Calamity off if Nibiru or Magistus link 1 for S:P plays? Also ever missed a card like I:P or you feel like it’s not necessary in a build like this?
the anti nib play in engine is wake up grave eff dumps phalanx: if they nib, you go ep phalanx rez auxila/legatia, ep auxila/legatia place primera if they dont nib, phalanx becomes a resource card for rezing at some other time, such as bringing back legatia out of turn for an out of turn pop making link monsters is not very easy in centurion without using horus cards, which are almost always better utilized with a rank 8 or leaving them on field and attacking
@@BimYGO My bad, you right on the Phalanx play, got the interaction mixed up with if they imperm or veiler your Auxila. I guess it depends on the build and what cards you play, I usually like to link of whichever Kashtira I have on board with one of the Centurion monsters that was stopped by the opponent to make I:P and then birth to bring back the Kashtira monster. You have kinda swayed me into considering the small Horus engine. I’ll have to look into it now. Also, any thoughts on either maining or siding bystials for the next format? I feel like they are okay going into it to stop Fiendsmith and Yubel plays and I like being able to go into Chaos Angel on my opponents turn if that is an option that is available.
@@ArchfiendHD magna/druis could be very solid and turn centurion into a more sync10-heavy deck with dis pater, chaos angel, and perhaps chengying if youll have a bystial in hand to trigger it if your locals wont have much fsmith/yubel/bystial targets then itll be less good but auxila would still bring back the primera/trudea you banished off a bsystial
if you wont play calamity then red supernova dragon is probably the best other card you can play besides blazar. lulu is a pretty low impact card that is stronger in a grind game. its not bad but you might run into extra deck space problems
