www.whiteline.com.au - The fitting of bigger Whiteline Swaybars is still the best dollar for dollar handling improvement you can make.
Why? First, while car manufacturers appreciate the role the sway bar plays in vehicle control, safety and comfort, their standard bars, like the vehicles they are fitted to, are built to a compromise of price, performance and comfort. Secondly, handling and suspension design is an evolutionary process with constant changes.
Cornering loads are spread more evenly across the tyres delivering more grip and frankly, that's what it's all about. You also get improved tyre wear as your tyres stay flatter and more upright. Comfort improves because your car sits flatter through bends meaning less movement inside the vehicle.
Whiteline Adjustable Sway Bars allow their stiffness to be altered by increasing or reducing the length of the lever arms. This permits the roll stiffness to be tuned for different situations without replacing the entire bar. The stiffer the bar, the more force required to move the left and right wheels relative to each other. This increases the amount of force required to make the body roll.
Whiteline adjustable sway bars offer from 2 up to 4 points of adjustment allowing in some cases 10 distinct stiffness settings for precise handling bias adjustment. The Whiteline Blade is available across a huge range of applications.
Whiteline Swaybars are manufactured using the finest grade spring steel. They are powder coated and supplied with high performance polyurethane mounting bushes in a DIY kit form, ready to simply bolt on.

I designed and used an adjustable hydraulic roll control system (swaybar). It was the best I had ever had and was adjustable from zero to 100% sway control. It was so complete that I could pull my front right wheel up on a 8 inch curb - close the adjustment valve - and when I backed off the front right wheel droped to the ground and the rear left wheel lifted two inches off the ground! I could rock the car on the front left and right rear wheels. open valve all wheels drop to ground.

Very helpful information so thanks for posting. Not even Whiteline identifies the holes for these measurements that I could find. 🤷‍♂️

Yes that is correct you can imagine that the longer the arm gets the more lever rate you have

Very helpful so thanks for posting. I ordered your kit for the Commodore VFII/Chevy SS. The listing showed the same size bars as stock, and I assumed the difference was in the metal composition. Now I understand the difference is based on the adjustable selection holes.

just ordered whiteline 22mm/22mm kit for my 2011 WRX hatchback. We have extremely shitty roads here so for now I'll go on the cheap and put some mild sway bars on, but I'm trying to figure out a good way to set up suspension for compression dips at high speed where you randomly hit your bump stops in the middle of an S bend and then go into a 3rd off camber corner with crumbling cement. if I had rally tires with super hard side walls then yea it would make it easier. I guess a rally cross set up is almost close enough, but with the soft sidewalls of road tires it creates a different set up entirely.

Thanks so much for the explanation. I was wondering about the sway bar settings

Adjustable links doesn't adjust the sway bar rates, which is what this video addressed. Adjustable links only adjust the pre-load on the bar.

does the same go for adjusting the 3 hole bracket on the chassis? the closer to the D-bush the stiffer?

Hi, Great video, I have a question regarding the lateral lock links you provide. I have them on my rear sway bars (which are whiteline as well) but I had a look under the car today and there the right one is not sitting exactly flush againsts the bushing. Just wanted to check if this was correct or was the lateral lock link meant to sit on both sides right up against the bushing? Thanks

I bought both front and rear Whiteline swaybars fir my 06 Pontiac GTO. What position should I put them in that's close to stock as my starting point when I take it to get installed at my local tire shop? Middle, front or rear farthest from the D bushing? Thanks...

Hello, i have 2 sumple questions 1-does it improve putting an adjustable sway bar link with stock suspension and stock sway bar? 2-if i put a longer sway bar link, it will force the sway bar down, so it will improve in high speed cournes? Isnt it right?

Does the same apply for the 3-hole and 4-hole sway; moving further away from bushing will make it softer, and closer will make it stiffer?

wouldn't it go the other way getting closer to the d bush on the 4 hole adjustable sway bar, wouldn't the furthest hole be 25, and the inner holes be 23 and 22 inch?

He is dumbing it down just for you! theres math involved with moving the attachment point. If he did attempt to explain how the holes change the strength of the bar, you probably wouldnt understand

What's the point of an adjustable sway bar? In another words, if I've paid for a 24, why would I want the performance of just a 22?
@WhitelinePerformance
@WhitelinePerformance 4 года назад
Hi there, in most cases the softest setting on our bars will still be stiffer than OEM. So we have that softest setting available if the customer were to lets say get a set of lowering springs or coilovers down the road and isn't liking the handling, well our bars can be adjusted to suit most extra modifications. Sometimes the softest setting is enough for some people on a stock vehicle. So you pay for 1 bar but you get 2-3 sometimes 4 choices of stiffest.
@legambaz
@legambaz 4 года назад
@@WhitelinePerformance OK. I'm very new at this. Thanks for the explanation. With it, may I assume, while the bar has levels of resistance to roll, while it's doing it, it also stiffen the ride quality? In another words, if I'm looking for a comfortable ride around town with potholes, I may not want a bar too thick from original installed in my car?
@WhitelinePerformance
@WhitelinePerformance 4 года назад
@@legambaz Good question, so technically sway bars add additional spring rate to whatever springs are currently on the car. Usually its safe to say on a bone stock OEM suspension (usually pretty soft springs) you are OK to go to a stiffer bar without sacrificing ride quality. Even a mild lowering spring you really wont notice a huge increase in stiffness of actual ride quality. You really start getting into stiffer ride quality when you go to a dramatic drop spring or coilovers. Thats when youll really want to figure out what sway bar works best for you and your current suspension setup. Hope this helps.

I bought Whiteline BSF33Z front sway bar which Whiteline advertised as compatible with WRX MY06. It is not compatible-it has fitment issues. I contacted Whiteline about it. Their solution? They want to sell me another "compatible" sway bar!! I think this company is flat out a load of BS
@michaelmelton4346
@michaelmelton4346 10 лет назад
Absolutely correct! I recently bought a set of lower control arm relo brackets for my Mustang and when I went to put them on they caused my axle to move backwards by 1/4". I contacted them and they blamed my mechanic, my springs, my LCAs and then when I sent them back to be checked they decided to "allow" me to pay MSRP (that's higher than retail) for a different product and take a credit for their part that didn't fit right in the first place. Their final conclusion was that my LCA (which is aftermarket, but verified to be the exact same length as stock) was too long.
