good air test, Dan, though I was surprised too, that you didn't test any gold. My first machine was a Garrett Ace 150 so I never really could do much in the wet sand, but I enjoy the hobby so much I decided to go all in and purchased the MX Sport about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Have put in about 25 hours or so with it, learning the machine and having fun. Found a decent amount of coins, pull tabs, bottle caps and foil and just 2 days ago I found my first ring with the MXS! Just a little gold plated number with most of the plating gone, but hey, it's a ring that pinged a solid 40 and it's now mine! As I'm still learning this machine, I look forward to seeing you test it on the beach. GL and HH

Not sure if this has came up yet, but I'm pretty sure that headphone adapter is just so you can use standard 1/4 headphones on land same as the adapter you loved so much on the AT Pro. They do offer a set of waterproof headphones though.

Nice detector! I like how you fire all the empty boxes a crossed the room. lol I have a old Bounty Hunter it's about 18 years old but still works great I find tons of coins here in Pennsylvania with it. Hello Dan, love your video's truly enjoyable, am currently looking into upgrading to a new mid range detector and have narrowed my choices down to the MX Sport, the Garrett AT Max and may wait out the Minelab Equinox 800 series, but until I see some real world test results after it comes available I would be hard pressed to pre-order at this time, was hoping to see a field test video from yourself of the Whites MX Sport, I know times a bit tight with all you have going on, but maybe you could squeeze one in on a lunch break, take care and be safe :)

those depth results are fantastic....i would be more confidnt of these results though if they were done away from the caravan..you know an outdoors depth test away from all that ems that caravans can cause......another great vid the dan.....yea i to would love to see a beach test salt water ect, ect

great review dan looks like a nice machine ...i do have a few kind of hummms about it 8 batteries that's well a lot of spares to carry if you carry them ..plus i have two mates i know i do have mates lol ...ones got a deus like yourself and ones got AT-pro they have numbers they say oww 82 that's silver or 83 that's pound coin and 99% of the time its a tin can ..so how a machine can say that's a dime etc i don't no ...but will wait for the field test see how it gets on :)

I will say the included headphone are a bit too small for my liking but decently constructed. A pair of cans are easily swapped out to your own model amd preference. Considering a pair of Deteknix wireless phones as in your other video review...

Hey Dan, it's actually 4 lbs. It doesn't mention if that is with or without batteries (it's probbaly without, because most detectors don't come with batteries). Imo, 4 lbs is not very light for a detector. As for the batteries, alkaline AA's have a weight of roughly 23-25g (wiki). So that's around 184-200g, or almost half a pound more just for the batteries (rechargeables are a bit heavier). My thoughts... if a person were to swing a 4.5+ lbs detector for any extended period of time, it will get tiring.

I want one. I also wanted to say,,that detector does not care what the weather is outside,,just get in!!

Well i hope it will help you find your lost fortune Dan. I looks to be pity effective. Only I would have liked to see the leads pass through the inside of the tube. You cud drill a hole pass it through and secure water tightness with a balloon and silecone. What ya think.

ok i see what you are saying.....great metal detector.....but would the ground deflect some its distance.....depth....say on the table you get 12 inches would you get the same in the ground?

Whites answer to the Garrett's water machine. OK, Tell it like it is..... I have detected for 35+ Years, Always used White's. I have seen some good ones go amateur "Bounty Hunter", I have seen some White's detectors better than others. I see ones which are 15 years old and STILL better than some new ones. Thing is, since 1980 about all have gone at least competent, compared to then. It's getting crowed at the top these days, medium priced detectors work as well as the top detectors, but without all the bells and whistles. As you, I'm impressed with the bench test. A water machine, that's good, all around detector, which is also good. I almost went for the At Pro, But as a poor man, I can't afford to be buying what I don't know. Looking forward to more on the MXSport.

One feature you forgot to mention: The sounds it made during your bench test are more musical than modern "artists" like Skrillex. DDD Record deal incoming....

It is very simple after you get a few minutes playing around! Want a complex detector come try my White's V3i LOL!

The MXT is a far superior machine, with the 15" coil fitted you can expect to hit some coins well over 2 feet and beer cans deeper, Although it is very big it is Hyper sensitive and very deep and if you are looking for Big Targets It might be a good idea to have a Backhoe close at hand' Also 'I used the 12"/300 coil on a field that had been gone over by every Metal Detector made since 1968 and I found 3 lots of Gold in one sweep of the coil and a silver pendant along with 8 Roman Coils and 1 Hammered Cut Half all from a Place that is so Iron infested that you can get 15 to 20 or more Iron signals per sweep'

Thank you for your review of the MX Sport. It seems te be a nice machine for as far as I can see. The only thing I really don't like though is the American quarters and dimes and so on on the display. I send White's an e-mail asking them if there would be a chance for a "European" machine, peferably without that superfluous information. "No", was the answer. So I keep hesitating between the Deteknix Quest Pro, the MX Sport or, to be on the save site, the X Terra 705. Could anybody advise me on this? (It will be my spare detector- my main detector is a CTX 3030, which I like a lot by the way!)
