Still Of The Night, over the years, has practically gained the status of national anthem of metal music.
I'm not saying that there aren't other songs that could be considered as emblematic, but when it comes to manly metal, it certainly would rank in the top 10.
And so it's kind of fun to take on this song with a female student, Nohely, to see how we stack up to the mighty David Coverdale!
As many of you know, Whitesnake/David Coverdale have featured some of the greatest rock musicians in the world, which seemed to ensure that the band was always taken seriously.
So having the cojones to take on a Whitesnake song as a woman is quite ambitious to say the least.

Wow! That's an awesome Whitesnake cover. Nohely did a wonderful job on singing one of my favorite Whitesnake songs. Love how she channeled David Coverdale in that performance. He's one of the greatest singers in Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. His songs are very difficult to sing. She really hit it out of the park and slayed it. What a great way to kick off a Friday and the weekend!👏👏🤘🤘🎸🎸

Oh Gabriela you've got some serious competition here, this lady can belt it out, Nohely goes from smooth paper to sandpaper in a heartbeat, she has that lovely bit of gravel at the top end. Ken, I wanted to ask you…in the KTVA do you cover over how to find your own natural voice? For example, someone might wish to sing like one person but their vocals just aren’t built the same (soprano trying to sing like a bass, etc). I know I’d personally love to sing like Michael sweet but I probably don’t have the same build to sound similar, I’d love to find my own natural voice then I can get an idea who I could sing like
