The most beautiful instrument the world will ever see. People don't sound like that, and even if they did, the odds to be able to USEEE such a voice like THAT?!
Whitney said she never doubted she would be the greatest, because: 1) she knew she had a gift from God and 2) she wanted desperately to share the gift with the entire world. She also said, when she sings a love song, she is not thinking about 1 person, but “people in general.” We get to hear the sound of God coming onto Earth because of this woman’s dedication and faith and love. We should all follow our calling and shine our lights like that :’)
I know exactly what you mean. It was like the perfect combination of her earlier "light fluffy" voice and her MLIYL era "dark and heavy" voice. She could easily flip into an 80s head at anytime.
I LOVE this song. When Cece sang this at Whitney's funeral i lost it 😭😭 How she was able to sing it so powerfully with such enotion at her friends funeral was unbelievable to me.. Whitney and Cece always sounded so alike to me..
Now that’s she’s no longer with us, how fitting for her to sing this… the lyrics say it all about her now. This was true angelic talent, the likes of which is not shown today. RIP Whitney.
Whitney was the best because she sang like a tenor (that chest voice) with soprano, later on mezzo range. Her tone and head voice were the cherry on top.❤
The absolute brilliance of Whitney Houston. Her voice is like liquid gold. Her beautiful presence with her voice and an orchestra and I love how she directs the Orchestra while she's singing. She knew she was going to sing the hell out of that song, you could tell by the look on her face before she started. She took that song to a whole new level.
This song always makes me sentimental, the lyrics, and that heartfelt emotional delivery. It's almost like a message from her future self to us, but, we do cry for you Whitney, and we love you always.
She killed this song. It makes, me cry. Cece did tear it up at her funeral. Whitney pimped it on to the back, after she go through singing. Like I know I'm cool, as hell. LOL She jammed this song. If I'm no longer here, I want this song played. Whitney was the BOMB, there is no other. RIP, job well done. Know one can blow like Whitney, she was so beautiful. What a great spirit of a lady. RiP, job well, done.
I was shook when I saw that a full performance had been found. I'm glad you're seeing it as well and reacting to it. It's just stunning. Her mannerisms and her vocals, especially during the Bodyguard era, had a sort of humble cockiness to them, idk how else to describe it, that is just precious to witness. I enjoy it so much
Whitney Houston was Music Royalty, she is the one and only Queen nevee ever will there be Another Voice like that again. Whitney was one of a kind. This performance waa spectacular and this song haumts me when she sings my death was meant to be the reason why i came your gonna see.
I thought you had reacted to this too but I guess we were both wrong. I love this performance. This dress is exactly like the red dress she wore when she sang I Have Nothing. Whitney was beautiful. Her voice here was strong and clear. I’m still waiting for you to react to a 16yr old Whitney singing Eternal Love. It’s an audio only. Wikipedia says she sang it when she was 19 but Whitney sang it live and she said she recorded it when she was just 16 years old.
This was at a time when people were asking her to sing “I Will Always Love You” at the opening of an envelope. I’m sure it felt so good for her to be able to put her all into another ballad. 🖤
The excited appreciation I have with you hearing that nuance of her voice at 4:09!!! That you clearly distinguished the sort of peaceful anguish of that note… her way of conveying such emotion!! It’s so beautiful how she does that
So beautiful that I had tears in my eyes. I've never viewed a full performance of this like here. It was documentary form and a good measure of it, enough to be totally shook. There's just no one else, she remains The Undisputed Voice.
I still miss Whitney Houston so much. She was amazing gem & I love her so much. I will always deeply enjoy every note she performed. Any Whitney Houston song recorded remains the diamond template of what women & men should sound like in song.
The Voice... God blessed us with Whitney Houston... I always said her voice was God appointed and only God can take it when he is ready... Thank you Lord for gracing us with her voice, beauty, performances... She was truly exceptional... No other like THE WHITNEY 'THE VOICE' HOUSTON... I miss her immensely...
I love your reaction to CeCe singing this! Her version is just 😍 This is one of my favourite songs. CeCe singing this at her her best friend's funefal... beautiful and hauntingly sad.
@@DrissAbderrahmane she was slightly hoarse but she sang with a very bullky open and close tenor technique. It is crazy how she could bring her chest voice so high
We all know at this point Whitney's voice is one of the most amazing voices of all time. Whitney definitely could turn on the Elegance just as fast as she can turn on the ghetto. The one wish I had for her was that she retained her voice up until her later years before she died. It's sad that addiction got ahold of her!!
I do think CeCe influenced her quite a bit in her early years. And then there of course is her mother, Cissy. When I like about Whitney's voice is her incredibly powerful mid belts. I also admire Gladys Knight for hers.
It’s too much of a loss, the haunting lyrics how apropos. That beautiful tone and the way she drive each note towards that top end and come out ringing like little birds in harmony. This woman could sing in the bathroom and people would be worn out from just a few bars.
I used to can sing like this actually RIP my vocals lol, but that "don't CRRRRRRRYYYYYY FOOOOORRR ME HE HE HEEE" had me jump out of my seat yo!!! 😱😳💯🔥👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
My understanding is that Bebe Winans wrote the lyrics to the song. Whitney sung this song at a HIV/AIDS benefit for persons who had lost their lives. The song is also appropriate to the world in our lost /grief of our beloved Whitney. Whitney was a gift from God to all of us as he wanted us to know the peace and joy of His love for us through music. I often think of why Whitney seemed to suffer so in life - much like Job. I don't believe that she was resisting God's love for her. She was fighting off the devil's attempt to take her from God. She never gave up. She fought through it all and she will be rewarded. We miss/love you Whitney and we look forward to hearing you sing in the heavenly choir.
Her talent cannot be manufactured. She has a gift that we ain’t seen since! Also, please react to ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VQ64ECEpgWA.htmlsi=aBFZ-KilZb24ZtmM (Leona Lewis best live vocals)

@@thomasrehag1747 she used to be backstage as a child when her mom toured with Dionne as a background singer. Whitney's stage presence is from her cousin Dionne.
Beautiful vocalist she was and such a dumb waste of Talent ,she is the great Divas Cissy Houston's Daughter ,( who hits that note on Arethas Classic Ain't No Way ) Certainly Whitney couldn't do it ,but Momma Cissy trained her to be the Voice she was , however sad how God gives you a gift ,then you leave your Roots New Jersey and go Hollywood ,Miami ,etc then return home in a Box to be buried ,God Makes No Mistakes and from Whitney's upbringing she knew this but decided to turn her sad life around much to late , remember at her last Party folks didn't know why she sang Yes Jesus Loves Me ,and he called her home .Her fans and phonies had know idea why she gave God a praise that night ( She Was Tired and this life didn't Matter ) RIP
I don't know how everyone else feels, but I love Cece Winans version better. I love Whitney, but her focus on power singing this song causes it to lose the tender emotions that represent what this song is about. It makes the song sound angry instead of pleading.
