Kian McDonald best research before commenting she was a smoker but also a druggie it would have been years before the cigs would have done the damage , also she overdosed on drugs in the bath when they found her dead the skin was hanging off her due to the scalding water
Chaka Khan said after Whitney passed that Whitney needed throat surgery but refused to do it. That is clearly evident here. Obviously, we can't know Whitney's reasons for not doing the surgery, but if she was concerned about the effects of surgery on her voice, I think we can conclude that she would not have sounded worse. I was and am a huge Whitney fan, and I would not have been so harsh had I gone to see her, but it was unfortunate that she booked this tour without her voice being in proper form. Having said that, I don't think Whitney was the kind of person who could be bullied into doing anything she didn't want to do.
I feel kinda ashamed that we aussies can be so heartless sometimes. They're definitely not wrong, but after just fighting a losing battle against drugs and then the damage this would have done to her own self confidence, she didn't really need this kind of hate.
Shameful behaviour from Brisbane audience. Talk about kick a person when they’re down. I wished I could’ve gone I would’ve jumped on stages and sing along with her. She passed away shortly after this.
To be fair no one knew she was gonna die at this time and if you spent $170 on a concert and it ended up being like this, I’m sure you would be upset too. Some of the stuff that was said was a bit harsh but understandable
they are not heartless, they are disappointed and wasted their money to watch her like that. Don’t blame the walked out fans, they were scammed. She’s on drugs she shouldn’t accept to do this concert.
I would've been happy just to see her. As a fan we knew her struggles. You know after everything she went though you wouldn't get the same performance like before. She's a human being for gods sake.. Just because she couldn't perform to their standard it's like they want to throw her away.
Evil Elvis - the one thing and the thing that breaks these certain performers, there obsessive to please their "fans" and in life those around them..they are the most insecure people who feel this is only what they can offer to life or the only way they can live and be "successful'..when just being caring loving human beings is success. :sigh:
Finally someone with good logic. No one is even taking into account that she toured extensively even years AFTER her vocal peak. She's not Celine or Mariah...Whitney was the real deal. She wasn't about that lip sync life.
JohnACorp782 such people as Whitney, Maria Callas, Amy Winehouse, Freddy Mercury... They will always live in our hearts 💕 by the music 🎶 they created. No matter how long it was... Body - is only a bottle for something unique... for spirit, that has Immortal natural
Mathias Christian her music ok to me. Not really a fan here. I just don’t get why she chose to do crack? In what mind does one just decide to take their life in that direction ?
She never should have been on tour. She had lost "The Voice". Smoking crack and cigarettes don't exactly help maintain the vocal chords or the necessary lung function that she previously had and which enabled her to reach those high notes. She was quite ill with heart disease and emphysema, (COPD), at the time of this tour. There is no way, at this point in her life, that Whitney could sing as she did in the 1980's and 1990's. This is hard to watch, (as are most of the other videos of her last 10 years), because at one time, her voice was perfection and totally untouchable. She did, though, leave us with innumerable memorable performances. This, sadly, is not one of them.
Shortly after Whitney's death, Chaka Khan said Whitney needed to have throat surgery, but Whitney refused. I also wonder if she might have had a better time on this tour had she shifted her singing style to make it softer and lifted above the vocal cords. Think Janet Jackson, Aaliyah, or Ciara. That kind of singing would not have been natural for Whitney, who was a natural belter, but she might have fared better with it during this tour.
First off Whitney had to tour for the money. If you Love a singer you should be on top of their voice. Everyone knew she wasn't going to sound 100% & for those comments to be made shows that you never really LOVED her from the start!
No sympathy what so ever... smh! If it was Elton John or Barbra Streisand things would be totally different. RIP to George Micheal who sadly fell into an oblivion of drugs but he received nothing but sympathy. His last appearances were not that great sweating up a storm, fatiqued and humming certain parts. Yet, people expressed so much concern towards him.
Through her good times and her bad times, she sang. She didn’t lip sync; she gave it the best she had. THAT’S a performer. Yes, it was heartbreaking, but she was human, & none of the complainers could’ve done any better.
That’s why they are the fans and not the performers- and it’s cause of the fans she could even stand there. If you’re paying for a show. You should get a show! She should have quit
Actually, from what I've heard, it's quite obvious that the complainers could do a lot better. A lot of people paid good money for something that they didn't get. She should have quit while she was ahead.
she was lip syncing in Brisbane for the first 2 songs we were really close and she was singing over the track it was as plain as day thence started (trying) to sing live, she was warming up her voice at first because she knew she was not doing it well, and she was bloody awful say near or close to 100 people walked out from around the front of the show, she was a disaster but the tickets were free, (thank god)...... drugs are bad MmmmKay !
She was almost like this when she had her first concert in Moscow. I had that expensive ticket, was sitting in Kremlin concert Hall, watching my dream singer singing , and all I could do was cry , because finally my dreams came true. If those people were real whytney soldiers, they would never left her on the battle.
You are so right maybe if the crowd would of supported her show surmounting love she would of felt that and maybe a miracle would of happened. Whitney smoked cigs , which overtime does effect vocal chords. I know all about that personally.
@@supreme3067Oh my Gosh, 5 years have past and only now i find your comment. Time runs fast. Yes unfortunately i know about it too, im a cigarette smokers since 20 years now, and i cant do nothing about it. Whitney was unique, she is still my one and only, sometimes i cry when i hear her songs. I so thankful to God that i had the blessings to be qt her concert in over then 20 years ago now, and she was already feeling bad cause her father just died( she said it on stage) But all her Russians fans, we aclamed her with all the respect and honor she deserved. Not for one second none was disrespectful. I hope she found peace finally ❤She will never be replaced and always will be missed ❤
They sure didn't shell out 165 bucks to her for no reason, if she was bad then she was bad & she definitely sounded bad. Steer and stay clear from drugs, she destroyed that beautiful instrument she was blessed with & ultimately her life altogether for nothing. Crack is wack.
@@LS-bk7ib It's all good I know truth hurts and is hard to swallow, it hurts me too as much as I used to love Whitney just as much as I'm sure these people who went to see her perform live was. But the sad reality and fact of the matter is is that she destroyed her life and beautiful singing voice with drugs much like Judy Garland did and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to prove it. Just because she's gone now doesn't change anything about the TRUTH & the tole it took in her life and voice. I don't know why she cracked that beautiful bell but the difference is depressing. Just as Whitney said, CRACK IS WACK.
@@LS-bk7ib Alright your trying to turn this shit into a race thing, Judy Garland wasn't black was she? And did you not hear me just reference her downfall to be identical with Whitney's WHICH IT WAS in many ways when Judy too was one of the greatest voices of all time? You don't know who I'm a fan of or not, I went and saw Whitney perform live in 1993 in Los Angeles and she sang beautifully. I would've been just as pissed off as this audience attendance was paying my hard earned money just to go & hear her singing like that no matter how much I loved her (as they did or else they wouldn't have went) just as much as the crowd who went to Amy's last concert was with her fumbling around onstage drunk out of her mind slurring every word she sang which was hardly any at all while her audience did all the more with booing her throughout that entire show. Your an ignorant racist and a biased kiss ass.
Nick Bennett I’m not responsible for the reply comment about Australian people. Your comment is based on USA-centrism and nationalism which I am neither. You’re incorrect about a breach of contract. There’s nothing in a contract that says “you have to sing well” lol. She has to show up and be on time. That’s about it 🤷🏼♂️
Dave Glam What would have been worse is if she decided since her voice wasn’t in good condition, she wouldn’t perform at all closer to the show and take everyone’s money. That’s the mark of a good performer that they still show up, despite being ridiculed like that. Can’t please everybody 👀
Dave Glam I don’t think you know how large tour contracts work like that. Whitney Houston was not in charge of the operations of the tour and could not assure every ticket holder would get refunded. What she could control was herself, and she met her commitments. Whether the audience liked it or not isn’t something she can really control.
A gift with a voice like hers always slowly begins to break up with all her high notes (I will always love you) overtime she strained her voice badly, the drugs and cigarettes didn’t help either. It’s a shame Whitney and Michael Jackson two singers with incomparable voices had to pass the way the did RIP
Whitney smoked so her voice deteriorated. It was her form of forgetting the negativity, but took a toll on her golden pipes as well. If she stopped smoking she would probably still have that power her voice possessed. Rip Whitney 💕
Cigarettes marijuana and crack cocaine . I truly talented singer with a God given voice wouldn't do that to her voice. It's like slapping God in the face.
For the people saying they are cruel, they are not in my opinion. They paid to see one of the greatest singers alive perform and unfortunately she succumbed to drugs. Thats not anyone’s fault but Whitney and those close to her that did not do their best to intervene. It is what it is
Whitney Elizabeth Houston gave her all every performance she ever did and never lipsing so why in the world y'all jumping down her throat and yeah she is in her 40s and she not 30 or 20 or 19 no more she gave her last breath in this Earth for all of us y'all talked about her being a crack head or in drugs y'all don't know what's she going through every body not perfect and not meant to be people get up here and be so rude and disrespectful to her may Whitney rest and your. Daughter love you nippy💝💖💖❤️
@@stopyulin3226 Why do you have to resort to name calling to get your point across? She had a terrible addiction with no support & no time to rest & recuporate due to all the families & staff depending on her in addition to being heartbroken over a divorce & her voice issues.. I'd like to see what you would do if u fell from grace & in that situation. Her only fault was trying to please vampires & leaches like you who didn't even know her situation. She could've canceled & not even refunded your fuqing money like Janet Jackson does when she's not able to perform. Bytch! Now! How does that feel? U better recognize who tf u talking about. THE VOICE! MS WHITNEY ELIZABETH HOUSTON. THE BEST TO EVER DO IT! BYTCH! BOW DOWN! PUT SOME RASPECT ON HER NAME U SELFISH EMBACILE!
From Philippines:We filipinoes never leave people like that no matter what.we are a music lover country.we respect no matter wgat struggles of the singer because we know it all.we support our singers from up and downs. We always love you Whitney here in the Phillipines!..😍😘😙💓💚 A major influence to many filipino singers.
@@adiksadiatabs LMAOOO BYE. People in the Philippines actually show respect to great singers unlike others. They admire these people even if they arent at their best.
In the video We could see her mother, cissy Houston, crying in the crowd at one of her concerts but it wasn’t the song that she was crying to but rather the fact that she had to watch her lovely and precious daughter struggle and suffer slowly on the stage that Whitney use to light up.😔😔😭😭 love u forever Whitney. R.I.P
Regardless all the critics. For me she is a DIVA and she will remain ONE FOREVER!!. May your great soul rest in peace and keep singing Whitney among angels in Heaven...
Being honest is one thing, being utterly (and arrogantly) disrespectful is another. I am not a fan at all but I can't but recognize that she is a legend... for Aussies sake!
Those People have no empathy at all. They're mean. I think Whitney gave up on life. Her voice was her saving grace. Then, she couldn't live of what she most loved. Can you imagine how painful was that. She knew she wasn't that good anymore and even though she had the courage to sing live and face all this crowd. She just couldn't handle it. I have an huge respect for her and her story.
Well, for some there’s always a current of hatred just below the surface, just waiting for an excuse to spill forward in a foul mouthed torrent of wickedness. Looks like the news crew did an amazing job of locating them.
This tour got so much press coverage bc of the angry responses. I'm surprised no one asked for a refund ! Whitney really should've stayed home. This tour was rock bottom for her as an artist. If I bought a ticket, I'd be pissed too !
then your not a real fan, at least you would be able to see her in a live performance, she is human just like the rest of us people make mistakes. And why does your comment have 3 likes.
Exactly. I don’t care how desperate Whitney and her promoters were for cash, there was no reason for her to do the tour. Her voice was nowhere near what is was, even by the early 2000’s. As for the rest of the comments section: If any of these so-called “fans”, went to one of her tours, and she sounded like that, you’d be angry, too, and demanding your money back. Nobody at the concert was saying; “I’m just happy to see Whitney!” That’s a ridiculous cop-out. Stop making excuses. Don’t go around pointing fingers at the paying customers. You don’t pay top dollar for that kind of performance. Period.
she was there for you even why she has her own problems and she was livee so respect thatt ... she is a legend a great artist and i will always love her .
These people they are calling fans are only waiting for a hate train to show their true selves, it happens to every artist, Beyoncé is next in line, she will have her embarrassing moment and a lot of people who act like they’re crazy for her will turn their backs on her
How can people be so heartless, no wonder why she gave up because people gave up on her too, you only loved her when she's good, can entertain and serve you but left her when she's at her worst? 😢
she wasnt in shape to perform. These people paid a lot and she couldn sing... they are right. And god knows I love whitney to death but her last tour was a mistake.
hard earned money like they making iphones in Asia !! if they not able to be tolerent about a legend who had problems maybe they can just fuck off and they had nothing to do in a Whitney concert
Laura Andrade, no, she shouldn't have gone on tour, though god knows those people were ugly in their anger, anyone who is mature and went to the concert, would have felt that disappointment of course, though looking at her struggling, I would have walked out because of that - I went to a show of a childhood singer I loved, and her behavior was just off and finally her drummer stopped playing and put his kit away and left. She kept on singing, while I cried..they are people and maybe they are told they shouldn't perform, whatever, they are not machines they are human beings.
Bunch of hypocrites. You've never been real fans of Whitney. True fans do support their Idols instead of pouring sh*t over them. We all knew what she went through, we all knew she hasn't been sounding the from early 2000's. We could notice how hard it was for her to hold those notes and even the breath through I LOOK TO YOU. Before going to the concert you knew right who actually was the 47-48 y.o Whitney.
1st off you were never really a fan if you expected her voice to sound perfect. Not to mention she was doing a tour. With that said if you really were a Whitney supporter you would have stayed for the LOVE, instead you walked away & that's your loss!
Fatimah Conteh You missed my point completely. Don't worry though I got yours. Another illiterate, money hungry, evil soul who can't empathize. Remember this when you fall on hard times.
+My Love Hope you finish reading this before jumping to conclusions. Empathy is important, but so is maturity and respect for other people on a professional level. I think you misunderstood some of her audience. They are not angry because of Whitney being sick, but the display of carelessness makes you question the love she has for her fans. Yes, she may be doing her "best", but its the same if I was drunk but say I can still drive home safely. Is that fair? If I knew I had shortcomings, yet chose to do the tour. Do you have kids? You show your love to your kids, but you can walk out on them when they act ignorant. Doesn't mean you stop loving them, but its to show you don't support that type of behavior.
"Never really a fan if you expected her voice to sound perfect".. What was it that made people her fans? It was her voice. They are fans of her music. People have a right to the expectation that a performer will ... perform. Thats the agreement when a ticket is sold and purchased. If you wanted fans to come out and just be around her for support, do an autograph signing event, or charge a special "fan appreciation" rate for the concert. Don't charge top dollar when u know the performer will b at depleted strength. That's greed. These fans were entitled to be angry.
The walked out fans did nothing wrong. The only wrong thing is that this tour shouldn't have been held. Whitney couldn't hold it well at all and she needed rest to get well completely.
So Australians realize when they've been taken advantage of by concert promoters , but DON'T realize when their government takes advantage & actually terrorizes them " for safety " 🤔 🤦🏽♀️
People can be cruel and the Australians certainly were!! Im sure none of the critics could ever reach the heights she had or the challenges…. Name an Australian who could come close. Anyone ?? Who could top her
The woman said she couldn't entertain a dead rat.this woman must have just been a casual fan who has heard whitney on the radio and that's it.noone who truly cared about whitney or felt real joy from her music would say such a thing about a woman who is down.at that moment whitney was down and going through things which is like most of us who may be sick and not feeling well but still has to go to work cause bills still gotta be paid.you don't step on someone when you can plainly see and hear that they are not well.that was a crude and nasty thing to say.
People are saying that if they left a negative comment about Whitney's performance that they couldn't have been real fans of hers. If I paid $165 to see Whitney perform and she was this big of a mess I don't give a shit how big she was back in the day I paid $165 and I want to see at least a performer who is not strung out on drugs. She was a disgrace and her manager never should have let her go out onstage looking and sounding like that.
Well i am disappointed in fans( so disgraceful they are( and one more thing, who leave in the middle of the Whitney concert, they are dead as for me, they are not a true fans, and its really and literally a shame to be a person like dat!!! I love ya my Queen R.I.P. Nothing But Love💗
She is the Greatest Period. Ppl she was human she wasn't perfect no female in music today can touch WHITNEY HOUSTON she paved the way for all females in the industry white and black . Give her her damn Honor. Just cause she didn't always sound like she was twenty hell she was twice that age and the fact she even got on stage was great. Fuck any an everybody who disagree
The utter disrespect from Australian fans y’all didn’t deserve her performances and y’all shoulda knew what you were getting into and been aware of her prior history, vocal health And struggles before paying for a god damn ticket some of us really didn’t deserve Whitney tbh. 🙄
Dead rat huh at least she had the guts to perform and not hide it was worth just seeing her and remembering the legend the VOICE .,.R.I.P Whitney u gave good love
Show some respect!!! It was still Whitney Houston and even she knew her voice was gone she never lipsynced. People are so mean. Everybody knew that she had drug addiction and was a chain smoker. What did you expect??? She was a human just like you and i. A megastar who had nothing to prove cause we all knew the girl could sing. With or without voice i was standing on my feet during the entire Belgium concert, she was still Whitney fucking Houston.
At least she showed up and served live vocals, and they had a chance to see the living legend, so why complain? Britney never sings on her shows and people are happy.
not all of it was live vocals....as far as britney goes, she never had a great voice to begin with..she's more of a pop star...plus,her fans don't care to whereas whitney's fans do care...she HAD the voice...
How long did people think she was going to be able to hit those notes? She should have done an orchestra tour. Keep it low key sit thru the set and sing. She was never really a dancer anyway. I do think a stripped down maybe acoustic show would have been perfect for her. When you’re on top for that long and the next batch comes rolling in and you’re just sliding down the ladder of success has to hard on anyone. Male, female, actor singer. It’s hard to give up those glory days. #QUARANTINE2021
These people are cruel. Look at these monsters. Inknow you paid for the ticket… BUT is it really hard to just be nice and understanding? Yes, her pwrformance was a disappointment but she dont deserve such mean words. she was singing for us her whole life, giving us good songs… have a little sympathy. Dont be such a jerk and heartless. She WAS trying really really hard that night.
I would have LOVED TO see Whitney sing I DON'T CARE if she couldn't hit the high note or if she took long breaks to get herself together Whitney has always been my idol and she has inspired me alot. Some people are so rude whatever Whitney did wasn't anyones concern she has always been the queen of music and It breaks my heart that she's not here with us anymore. RIP Whitney sing to the angels up there 😢💔
Call a rat a rat. I loved Whitney but at the end of the day if you don’t take care of yourself, your voice, your health, your mind will deteriorate. Just like police brutality people don’t want to admit the truth. Whitney had a god given talent but she chose the devils path. The lord helps those who help themselves. She made terrible choices and faced the consequences. If I have a friend who is doing stupidness I won’t lie for them.
Youre gross. People don't take care of themselves because something isn't right. whether it's mental illness or trauma, addiction is not what anyone wants. Having weaknesses is not a character flaw. She tried many times to get sober- addiction isn't something you can just stop.
@@tgin7100 Excuse me. Choosing the devil. Bad over evil she suffered the consequences. Voilà. She was rich and had access to many ressources, please. Worse she was a mother. Stop making excuses for her. Terrible role model. Murderers had a terrible life. Rapists were abused. I DON'T CARE. BYE!
at least, she is not lip syncing at all. at that point, you'll know that she's a real singer who wants to sing and not going on stage faking it by prerecorded vocals.
No matter what Whitney Houston still gave her best when others in her position would have just gave up. Remember her greatness and stop bashing her for her short comings. No matter what she was tremendously talented and very special.
I would have just wish I could give her a big hug and just say ..”hang in there God’got you”❤️🙏🏽she blessed us with her lovely voice countless times before so judging her at her time of need was down right cruel.
TRUE fans knew she is the greatest vocalist to ever live. TRUE fans would have stayed and supported her to her last breath. The fact that everyone expected her to sing like back in her prime the lay 80’s and early 90’s shows just how stupid they were in the first place.
