Keep in mind that these moments are out of context. Whitney wasn't disrespectful. Reporters and interviewers deliberately tried to push her buttons. Also, she had no beef with Paula Abdul. The media was comparing Paula's success to hers, and everyone knew Paula wasn't really a true vocalist-- Including Paula, who loved Whitney.
She was the pop princess and later became the Queen of pop after ha ha g the mist pop success, biggest selling albums and singles despite people now calling Madonna that. They called Whitney the princess of pop or the Golden girl of the industry because of her unrivaled success in pop and music.
Nananananna Whitney never had beef with Mariah they actually made a song together called "when you believe" she was just saying she doesnt really think of her on a regular basis, she doesnt compare herself to mariah
Its like they keep asking her about other people, when they are interviewing her, baby if you wanna know about Mariah, interview Mariah 🤷♀️. Whitney aint got the time baby. Lol
@@lalam.9748 the thing is the media always does this they asked mariah a lot about whitney too and about other ppl that's why we have these "Shady" moments interviewers kinda just bring topics that they know will be controversial
They had a little beef…Bebe Winans spilled the beans. Whitney let it go and didn’t hold a grudge though. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-65uDWL0m8tc.html
@@lalam.9748 during the time she first came out mariah also got fed up because a lot of media, article and interview keep comparing her and ask her about Whitney all the time...i remember she said in one of her interview that 'the comparison geting a little tired lately' and she said whitney was a great vocalist and that's it...whitney and mariah was actually a victim from the media and people that want to put them against each other...of course whitney doesn't know mariah at the time and mariah also doesn't know whitney cause they never met....
They didn't know each other for many years. The tension was before they met. The press trying to put them against each other and Whitney not giving any thought to it or her.
@@GalaxyNexus1 they never disliked each other. They would always ask Whitney about Mariah but she never said anything negative. She always said Mariah is a good singer.
@@eliasatrapado you bringing up the anniversary of her passing didn't come across as funny to me but whatever. Also I wasn't aware there's a time limit for responding to comments.
I always loved Whitney on Arsenio. Before she ever appeared on the show he use to make jokes that he was dating her. Then the first time she was on it was on his birthday. He didn't know she was there and she came out while he was doing his monologue.
@@jackreacts2744 the Mariah comment was due to the media trying to compare them to each other But in reality I don't think Whitney would think of Mariah as a threat So she wouldn't be thinking about her They also had not met when she did the interview Mariah and Whitney met later in the late 90s to do When you believe and became great friends
Whitney showed she's just as human as any of us. She wasn't playing with none of them 😏 everybody has shady moments sometimes 😂 RIP Whitney 😇 great reaction Jack
Yes sir I'm a biges fans of wethney Huston we love miss Huston somuch she is the voice Alwys will be the voice the best ever live singer miss you wethney huston
When she was booed at the soul train, a lot of young people don't know before Whitney music was very divided, rap was not the music on pop radio, it hardly got on radio and artist that were RNB or pop or Rock played on them stations alone. Whitney and MJ bridged them gaps, they crossed over rnb to pop radio so rnb became pop. So when whites helped Whitney sell records like no female black or white ever sold she was a sellout because she was played on pop radio and she was awarded by white and pop radio, so when she came and won all the Soul train awards too the audience was mad, because she was on top everywhere especially pop radio. So being she started as an rnb artist then started making music catered to the white market they labked her a sellout. I remember when that happened and why. That's why after that she made IYBT album that was heavy rnb and not a lot of pop like the first two albums, but it was not until she soared about them all with the bodyguard that the black audience wanted to claim her back for many reasons but mainly because she proved with that album she could sing like no one had heard before. And also they knew then they had to share her with the world and the times had changed also by then, by then her and MJ made it ok to be pop, it was cool now and now that's why all artist try and go pop more money and more fans.
I love Whitney. And it's sad everything that she went through in her life...she did start out as America's sweetheart because at the time she really was just a sweet innocent kid...but for some reason people expect you to stay that way once you become an adult...the sad thing is that between her bad experiences in the entertainment industry AND the terrible things going on in her personal life (which I've come to find out her childhood wasn't the greatest either) it shaped her into the woman she ultimately became...the good and the bad... But the 1 thing that NO ONE can take away from Ms. Whitney "The Voice" Houston is the impact she had in music and we will ALWAYS remember that incredible voice...you couldn't tell Ms. Houston anything when she was in her prime...RIP Nippy.
There was never beef with Mariah. That was her getting tired of people asking her about the comparison. It was basically an "I don't know her" before I don't know her! 😂 she said so many times over “she’s a good singer. But I never met her so stop asking me!”
3:08 Now lemme explain that moment...Arsenio was being messy cuz Whitney used to date Eddie Murphy (his homeboy) and this point there were already broken up 😂😂☕ She was really one of a kind ❤️
RIH Queen of Soul. But Jack, you got to react to the Aretha Franklin Shady and Diva Moments. Great gowns, beautiful gowns. I’m pretty sure some people in the comment knows what I’m talking about. 😩😩😭😭🤣🤣
FACTS: at 5:03 Whiteney Houston referenced Milli Vanilli. So Milli Vanilli was a duo of 1 guys with long hair. They had a 1 hit song. Later it was discovered that the vocals on the CD was not their own. They hired a stranger to sing. The music videos and performances were of them LIP-SYNCING to the track. Milli Vanilli deceived the public until it was discovered and then they shamed. So, Whitney was throwing shade that her vocals are real...not that group milli vanilli... Look them up 1 good time. They were a musical scam, lol. One of them members died i believe.
You should watch the MadTV spoof of the Diane Sawyer interview. Then watch some clips of MTV Icon. Then watch the MadTV spoof of that. Then watch one of those old infomercials for nostalgic music compilations. Then watch MadTV Whitney sings the classics.
