Mark, my grandpa is 87 and he's ALWAYS saying, "I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up." And I know that sounds SO silly but that's okay! Because it means that he'll never stop growing, he'll never stop exploring, and he will always love to make himself better. This video has touched my heart. It contained this innocence one would find in a small child yet the contained the impact of a leader. This was a truly inspiring video as we got reintroduced to the past, present, and future. Never have I felt such sincerity, one that is powerful yet so gentle, come from anyone other than Mark.

I've been admitted to the hospital four times now for mental reasons, and each time I sit in the room I've been assigned to, I can't help but think of you and Jack/Sean, telling myself that I've let you down for getting myself in this mess AGAIN and AGAIN. Then I remember that you've never met me. You don't even know I alive, and it gets me thinking "If I ever meet him, what do I want him to see? What part of me do I want him to meet?" I've dedicated myself to changing, for your sake and mine. It's almost been a year now since I've last been admitted, and I've kept a clean bill of heath so far. I just wanted to say thank you. I know you've done nothing, and you've said many things to a number of people, but everything I watch one of these videos, it feels like you're talking to me, as a person, not just as a "supporter" or a "fan". anybody else just get the feeling like you were listening to one of your best friend's tell you about their life for like the millionth time, but you don't care because you're such great friends? I love how Mark just makes this "relationship" so personal. He is sitting in front of a camera. he is staring at a lense, but somehow makes the whole conversation feel like a one on one talk instead of the one to 17 million. and you can tell by that how much he actually cares for all of us. how he wants to be able to get to us but knows he can't. (watch the 8 million subscriber video now to understand the feelings I have while writing this.) I never had a best friend. I moved nine times in my life and never lived anywhere longer than three years, so being able to get to know someone this well and have this kind of relationship is just so amazing. thank you mark for all that you do. *Mark,* I almost cried during this, because I've always been a nervous, depressed shut-in, with no friends at all. None. Zero. But you almost seem like a friend to me, because waaaay back when you played the very first release of "Black Rose", you inspired me to keep going with what I had always wanted to grow up to do since my childhood. That is when I first subscribed to you. And now, although it might seem strange, you feel like such a friend to me, even though we've never even met. I hold on to this because I really wish I could be friends with you in real life, but I know that's never going to happen (I have terrible anxiety). But, I still develop my games with you in mind, imagining you playing them. It helps me, and since you feel even more like a friend to me now ever since you replied to my Tumblr post a while back, I feel even more privileged, and I still like having your videos to help bring me back up from my darkness and help me see good in the world. I watch your videos when I am feeling down. You make me laugh and smile, and even cry. You have helped me through so many hardships in my life. My dogs dying, my parents getting divorced, my cat, who has been there from before I was born, his death hit me so hard. I stopped watching RU-vid going on any apps or anything. This is the first video I have watched of you in such a long time. I realised how much I missed it. How much I missed how happy I get when I hear you laugh or your voice, you just make my day better. Just a few months ago I didn't even know Markiplier. Now that I discovered his channel, I sometimes ask myself "How did I manage to survive all of these years without this man?"

I can say this with complete honesty Mark, thank you for everything you do. On behalf of the rest of the human race, thank you for all the charity work, all the laughter, the tears, the smiles, the happiness, the good times, for everything. I was struggling so much for the entire of 2016, facing difficulties in my family and education that I'd never believed I'd have to deal with. But you and Jack helped me through it, watching your livestreams for people with mental illnesses, people within the LGBT community, and all the rest, you helped me recover and realise that there are people that care, you showed me that the world isn't such a bad place and it made me pick myself up and carry on. I know this will be the same for many many other people out there so once again, on behalf of your entire community, thank you for everything.

I'm not ready for him to leave us. I'm not ready for him to quit youtube, to leave our beautiful community. But, we all need to remember, he's still human. He still deserves to be ambitious. Even if he doesn't want to do youtube anymore and wants to, for example, find a cure for a disease. We'll miss him, but he'll always be in our hearts.

mark, I've had depression, and not long ago my mom mentioned depression pills (probably not gonna get into that) and a therapist, and psychologists, but even in some of my worse days, I calm myself down and smile from your videos, when you laugh and make jokes I laugh, when you're serious I'm serious with you, I do plan in going through life, not ending it, and not wasting it, when I can, I want to be a animal rescuer, or animal caretaker, I also want to help the homeless and the starved, I want to help the earth and all the living creatures on it , you inspire me a lot, thank you mark!

I started watching Mark in my junior year of high school. During that time, I was so depressed that I was on the highest dose of medication. I'd only be awake to go to school, and after I'd go home to sleep until the next day. Everyday, though, I would turn on a video of Mark joking around or playing a video before I fell asleep. My senior year of high school rolled around, and my dad was diagnosed with cancer. My mental health was worse than ever. The only constant thing that I had control over was my daily ritual of falling asleep to one of Mark's videos. I'm now ending my first year of college. Recently, my dear grandfather has passed away. I want to sleep so badly, but I can't- I won't. I've wasted too much of my life already with my head in the clouds, and that's not the life my grandpa would have wanted me to live. Mark, you inspire me to live life the way I know I deserve. Thank you. You may not feel like you've changed the world yet, but at the very least, you've changed my world, and I couldn't be anymore grateful. I'll be right here, until the very day you feel like you've made an impact (which you have), and then everyday after. He has 17M SUBSCRIBERS! You really can't say that's not much, because it is. Before, he was a guy to make fun of. And now he's one of the most popular youtubers. He never changed. Okay he did a little because it happens how years pass but never in a negative way. He can buy so many things, many places to go with amount of money he makes. He can. He really can. Every time Mark uploads a "serious" video, I always find myself staring into his eyes. Not in a creepy way. I guess it's because it's a human thing to look someone in the eye when you are listening to them. I think that it's pretty cool :D

A few years ago I found this channel, I automatically started watching them from there on out. My family got messed up a bunch of times but I watched your videos to help me. When my grandmother passed away I slipped into depression and I would get on youtube and a new video would be up. I would be laughing and my parents would think I was crazy. A while back I did a whole essay on you for I think it was 3rd grade? Maybe 4th. I still have my crappy handwriting paper for our T chart thing. We all love you Mark. Keep going on your adventures and see us in the next video. :)

Mark I've posted this so many times but I will continue to do so in case you ever do see it by chance. My brother is currently 11 years old, he had a massive nasal/brain tumor removed in March. He was unable to speak at the time due to drainage and removal of the breathing tube, when he started to get aware of his surroundings he wrote down that he wanted to watch Markiplier and Jacksepticeye. Before the surgery was over we waited 12 hours, while I waited I watched you and Jack, I thought of my brother I thought of how happy you both make him and I was right. His first smile and little amount of strength he had to laugh was because of you. His laughter swelled my families hearts with overwhelming joy all because of who you are. The goofy, kind, generous man I see before me on a screen was able to bring about our hope in a terrible situation. I wish I could personally thank you for all you have done. Helping my brother to smile, laugh and helping me with depression through the years. My brother and I almost got to see you 2 years ago at Indy popcon and we literally just got on the website for Indy this year to see the last ticket be sold. One of these times my brother and I are going to see you and thank you in person for all you have done. But this will have to do for now. With my deepest gratitude and from the bottom of my heart thank you for being you. Thank you for the joy. Thank you for being our light in the darkest tunnel. Thank you for teaching us to smile and laugh when we don't think we can anymore. Thank you for being our friend when we have no one to turn to.

What's really tempting is chanting at his face, and making his hair grow unnaturally. Other than this silliness, Mark has clearly made some of the best memories out of this. Just saying Mark, don't change who you are. Stay your silly, joyful, understanding, self. You know 'Markiplier' is a character like Dark and Wilford. This guy in this video is serious and kind, it is Mark Fishbach. Markiplier is silly and has the mental age of a 7 year old. When you think about it, this is the real Mark, not the one we see in his gaming videos.

Hey Mark, love your videos. I remember I found your channel by chance. You were playing GTA Online with Bob and Wade I think, doing really not that much just goofing around, and I loved how your voice sounded. It went really well with your character that was dressed in a suit and a top hat driving the Roosevelt car. Then I saw some of the animated videos that were made by fans on your channel, and I've been a fan and subscriber ever since. You have been an inspiration. I decided thanks to you and a hand full of other RU-vidrs to start my channel. Here to someday reaching the heights you have gotten to. It is going to take a long time though, I think I am doing good considering I record on my 7 year old laptop and record commentary on my phone.
