Let's not get carried away 😅 i think she's cute, smiley, and that she's really got something there, as far as RU-vid world is concerned : Russia is kinda mysterious country for Western ppl, not well known, with a century long war of "opinion" between 2 worlds etc... Moreover it has a huge territory, hence so many different ethnicities, cultures, religions, beliefs, and so on and so on.. so yeah, she's on to smthg here, or at least for a year maybe 2 and by then... but as far as the quality of the videos are concerned, the level of professionalism... oy oy oyyyy... well you're not quite there @Eli I'm sorry I'm not saying that to be rude AT ALL, I think you're great, have a "RU-vid profile"and really try! And I'm pretty sure you'll get there! But as for now, not quite yet... sound is awful with wind effect, fluctuations of volume..., same with light settings, you're not even trying my friend.. for instance Caspian See footage could've been GORGEOUS with the right settings, even your breakout... instead it's obscure, scales of dark grey... Also you're looking at the camera all the time, even when interacting with an individual, even worse interviewing him/her, like the Tchetchenya weddings one (it gives a frozen/old school effect, you gotta make your audience feel you're just chatting casually with someone, give it a glance sometimes, ok, but mainly looking at the person...). Editing also.... your final cut OFTEN comprises useless images (I remember a sequence with garbage behind a house in Moscow, washing machine, boots... 3mn is a super long time in streaming experience, you lose interest and think "what the f... am I looking at??" 😅 Well all in one, I'd say if you're into that now, get the right equipment, the good filming/editing/lighting blabla lessons from the right ppl (DIY or why not, classes!) And you'll be perfectly ok 👍🏻 cause the most important thing (BUT not the only one!!) is to find a right angle/topic, and I'm pretty sure you got that good 😊this is ONLY one's opinion! good luck Eli!

Very interesting. The Sami woman (with her young son) made a point which seems international, she was asked how many reindeer her family owned but would not answer. 16,000 km away we are asked the same sort of question, 'how many sheep do you run, how many cattle do you have and how many acres of land do you own?'. I usually skirt around an answer for the same reason, it's like being asked how much money do you have. A friend of mine has 4 million acres (in drier areas of the country) and it's funny to see the response by any questioner when he's asked that question. Their jaws literally drop. Great to see Eli again.

What "political discrimination"? What are you talking about? Understand that Russia is a country of opportunities! Understand that in Russia it is bad form to boast of one's nationality. You will not be elected the head of an enterprise on a national basis .. Only and exclusively according to human and professional criteria. You can be anyone - Russian, Ukrainian, Asian or African. It all depends on what kind of person you are and what professional you are. By the way, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation is Shoigu, a Tuvan by nationality. Tuvans are not a large nationality, about 250 thousand people. .Do not mix politics where there is no politics in principle))

Right on, Gene. The Sami do strive to defend their rights! // NGOs: The Saami Council is an umbrella non-governmental organization for Saami orgs in Finland, Sweden, Norway and the Russian Federation. The Saami Council was founded in 1956, and today has 9 member organizations including 2 from Russia: Kola Saami Assoc (AKS) and Saami Assoc of the Murmansk Region (OOSMO). The 22nd Sami Conference will be held in 2022, this time in Sweden. Sami conferences promote Sami people’s livelihoods, rights, languages and culture. // Political entities: Finland, Sweden and Norway each has its own Sami parliament (Sámediggi). These elected Sami parliaments are constitutionally recognised self-governing bodies meant to promote sami people’s cultural self-determination. They function mainly as consultative bodies officially representing Sami interests both nationally and internationally. The Sámi Parliamentary Council (SPC) is the co-operational body for the 3 Nordic Sámi parliaments. The SPC was founded in 2000, and the 3 parliaments each lead the SPC for a period of 16 months. Because there is no elected body for the Sámi yet in Russia, the Russian Sámi have been allotted 2 permanent representatives on the Sámi Parliamentary Council.
