Randy Bachman was part of The Guess Who & then went on to form BTO (Bachman Turner Overdrive). Both were great Canadian rock bands. BTO had a lot of great songs in the 70's such as "Let It Ride", "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet", "Hey You", "Roll On Down The Highway", "Lookin' Out For #1" etc.

BTO came out of Winnipeg (after Randy Bachman left The Guess Who) with a string of hard-rocking hits in the 70s; don't stop with this one! "Let It Ride," "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet," "Roll On Down the Highway, and "Hey You" are great tunes.

Fun fact: the lead guitarist, Randy Bachman, was Neil Young's local guitar hero in high school in Winnepeg, Canada, where they both grew up.

Neil Young was Canadian? No wonder he was so insulting about the South.

BTO was the real deal in the 70s. Nice rabbit hole to go down. “You ain’t seen nothing Yet”is a must “Blue Collar” or “Lookin out for #1” great vibes. “Let it Ride” & “Roll on down the Hwy” good rockers. Randy Bachman guitar/vocals -Rob Bachman drums -CF Turner bass/vocals-Blain Thornton guitar. **Little brother Tim Bachman play a few years with them on guitar/vocals **

Randy Bachman played with Ringo Starr and His 3rd All-Starr Band in Seattle in 1995, and this song brought down the house. That was, without a doubt, the best concert I ever went to.

BTO and the Guess Who which is the first band Randy Bachman was in are from my hometown of Winnipeg, Canada 🇨🇦 This song came out in 1973 Other BTO songs Blue Collar Not Fragile You Ain't seen nothing yet Let it roll to name a few. If you want to see one banger of a concert I suggest The 14 minute version of American Woman live from the Guess Who reunion concert in Winnipeg from 2004. The original lineup and Randy is a beast on guitar.

This was such a fun jam when it came out. One everyone seemed to know instantly. So many good songs and albums followed. Two I have not seen mentioned in the comments are “Blue Moanin’ “ off the Not Fragile album and one that endse up being spiritual called “MyWheels Won’t Turn. I can’t remember the album title. My 7 year old granddaughter has loved it for the last 2 years. Her parents take her to church, she gets the story and the somewhat surprise ending of the last verse. Thanks for taking us back to ‘73, Adogg. I wish you could have been with us first time around. I think we would have enjoyed each other’s company.

They are an awesome band. They have SO many great songs, including YOU AINT SEEN NOTHIN' YET which includes the famous stutter that Randy Bachman put in the song to poke fun at his brother who had a speech impediment. "Let It Ride." "Hey You." "Roll On Down The Highway" are just a few.

My 20's every summer through the 80's enjoyed these guys and many other great Canadians rock bands live. Sad Americans had mostly missed out on our rock bands. Here's a very short Canadian rabbit hole to go down: *The Stampeders* - Wild Eyes (TopPop, 1974) / *April Wine* - You Could Have Been A Lady 1972 HD / *Red Rider* - Lunatic Fringe / *Prism* Mirror man / *Chilliwack* - "Fly At Night" / *Five Man Electrical Band* - Signs (Exclusive Video) / *Colin James* - Just Came Back / *Sass Jordan* - Make You a Believer (Official Music Video) / *Downchild* - "When I Say Jump" (Official Video) / *Mashmakhan* - As The Years Go By / *Alannah Myles* - Still Got This Thing For You / *Cameo Blues Band* - Rockin' My Life Away. My all time favourite: *Long John Baldry* - "Don't Try To Lay No Boogie-Woogie On The King of Rock & Roll"

When I first heard this song in 1973, I was about 5 years old. I didn't have the album, so I couldn't see what BTO looked like, and just based on the feel of the song, I imagined that they were a bunch of black dudes (not quite, eh?). Now, almost fifty years later, it's satisfying to watch a black guy get into it on RU-vid. Music is the best!

No, it did not. Randy Bachman was in the Guess Who but left in 1970. The Guess Who carried on until October 1975 and had some hits like "Albert Flasher" and "Clap for the Wolfman". Randy Bachman formed Brave Belt with another former Guess Who member, Chad Allan, who had left that group 4 years earlier. Brave Belt had limited success and Chad Allan eventually left. Shortly after Allan's departure, Brave Belt was renamed BTO and released its first album under that name in May 1973.
