Dionne Warwick hands down by far song Alfie much better for me anyway. She's one of my favorite singers of all time. But I do like Ron Isley he's a brilliant artist.

Ms. Warwick is the version, I will love.💖 I remember hearing this as a child. My father really liked Ms.Warwick. Hearing her version reminds me of home. Those instrumentals were lovely as well.

Dionne Warwick killed this song. No one has done it better yet. I just saw her interviewed on CBS' "Sunday Morning" last weekend. Her name is Warrick but a typo on her first release introduced her to the world as Warwick. The label decided it was cheaper to change her professional name than correct the typo.

I have always loved Dionne Warwick's Alfie. I haven't heard Ron Isley's version of it before but, it was nice . The two instrumentals were okay.

I've heard Nancy Wilson, Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, Sarah Vaughn, Barbara Streisand, Stevie Wonder, Ron Isley and the Delfonics' versions and with zero hesitation, I say to you that....This song belongs to the one and only....Dionne Warwick!! So pure!

Dionne version sounds like a ballot, when Ronald Isley version he is singing to you (personal), Stevie Wonder version sounds Jazzier and Don Shirley sounds more like a musical composition. but, I like all four versions.

I think I recall Bacharach in an interview, talking about the difficulty of singing this song well, but that for Dionne it was a breeze. I would have never thought that "Isley meets Bacharach" could be a thing. This song belongs to Ms. Warwick.

I never knew about Isley’s or Shirley’s covers, but Stevie’s (or more accurately, Eivets’) was all I knew until Dionne’s years later. I like them all, but that harmonica of Stevie’s really killed this one for me, especially coming out of the third verse toward the end.

When did THIS happen and how did i miss it??? i left my laptop running and when i came back, it was on ReelBlack's channel and Ron Isley was singing "Alfie". i was SO confused. Dionne is the one of course.

Vocally Dionne did it better. Instrumental, Stevie Wonder. I appreciated Don Shirley's input. It lacked emotion to me. I wonder if the album art for Don Shirley is recent? The vehicle looks like the car featured in "green book."
