I could see this being a Treehouse of Horror episode, with Graggle tricking/brainwashing the Simpsons into believing that he’s always been a part of the family.

As the former voice actor for Graggle, I greatly appreciate your coverage of the character.

The whole Mandela effect thing has always been so funny to me, like there are literally people out here who are more willing to accept that they've been thrown into an alternate dimension than that they misremembered something.

Season 6-7 is where Graggle's origins are elaborated on, mainly across "Who shot mr burns?" it is revealed by Abe Simpson that Graggle was a clone of homer made by the US government during as an attempt to make a biological weapon, it failed and thus Grandpa took care of him alongside Homer. Mr burns would discover this and use Graggle's clone suppressor chip in order to command him to plant a firearm onto maggie simpson in order to finally get homer fired. The episode ends with Graggle removing the chip from his arm, his aging now not being suppressed, as Lisa asks him if dying young is worth it, Graggle answers "Eh, It's worth it if it means the IRS gets less off me!" Graggle's nonchalant attitude towards himself being a clone quickly changes in season 8-10, from here on out Graggle begins working full time at the local arcade so he can save up to fulfil his 'bucket list', this is referred to mainly as him wanting to take a road trip along the entire united states on a Harley-Davidson, in the season 10 finale the post credits sequence shows Graggle obtaining his biker's license whilst "bad to the bone" plays. In season 11, a seperate set of sequences are shown in which Graggle trips along the united states, these trips end in him assassinating Hank Scorpio after becoming part of a biker gang, by the end of the shorts, Graggle's accelerated aging is catching up to him as he is seen to be in approximately his late 50s physically, the shorts end with him looking back towards Springfield. In Season 12, Graggle's arc comes to an end as he spends time with the family in his dying days, in the episode "Bart vs the great ones" Bart decides to reject popularity in order to go on a fishing trip with Graggle, Bart later states he did not regret this decision In the finale episode "Ode to a clone" Graggle awakens in his 80s physically and begins to realise he is developing alzheimers, not wanting to continue to lose himself and the memories he built, Graggle goes on one final road trip with Homer, at the end of the episode, Graggle reveals to homer he had his Liver removed and donated to scientific research in order to guarentee rights for future clones, with the copious amount that he has consumed, Graggle begins to die of alcohol poisoning, his final words to homer were, "Hey always remember, Taxes are for evadin', not for payin', make sure Bart learns that... Homer..." Trivia: -The running gag of Graggle commiting indecent exposure was stopped by Matt Groening because his mother ranted to him about it -Graggle's obsession with tax evasion seems to stem from the fact that in exchange for allowing homer to be cloned, Abe Simpson was perminently exempt from taxation for the rest of his life -It is widely believed that Graggle was the inspiration for Brian Griffin

The season 10 finale made me cry so much. The moment where Graggle leaves Springfield back to his home planet was definitely one of the moments in TV history. Never forget "It's gragglin time!". No wonder people say that this show has gone downhill after the 10th season.

When Graggle is not on screen, everyone should be asking “Where’s Graggle?”

How could anyone forget the adopted brother of Homer himself, Matthew Gumbly Graggle? He's iconic.

Japanese here. The original character is called nan-J min (なんJ民) and it’s from nandemo jikkyou-J (なんでも実況J), a sub board of 5ch (formerly 2ch, an anonymous bulletin board like 4chan). The character represents people on the sub board.

I always loved it when Gumbly would say his catchphrase, "It's Graggle Time!"

I really love the scene where Graggle said "it's gragglin' time" and gragged Bart till he fainted😂😂😂 Edit: It seems many people don't know what graggling means. It means to morb someone, but in a friendly and harmless way.

The original emoticon, far as my memory serves, was portraying a type of person invading NanJ and disrupting the board. The bat referred to the fact that most of them were from a popular baseball forum that had undergone a regime change. Weird that they took their inspiration from Graggle, who was well-known for hating baseball after the murders.

In the mexican dub he was called "Gregorio" and "Grajeo" depending on the season. He was voiced by Humberto Vélez himself, who stated that Gregorio was his favourite character from the show.

I remember Graggle as Weird Matt... In any case, the "Graggle" implication in the Simpson is incredibly similar to Chip Davis, an actual Simpson-Mandela character that appeared in "Four Regrettings and a Funeral" (Season 25, episode 3), and is meant to be that character that seems to be present since the very beginning, but no one remember except for the fictional characters. The weird thing is is that I expirienced a mini-mandela effect of my own when I saw this, because I remembered seeing this last year under a different name, but was curious why this video was made just now. So for a second I legit wondered if I made up Gumbly/Graggle before this. Fuck dude, this character has some mental manipulation powers or something.

For those who dont remember gaggle, he was the predecessor of santas little helper, but he was removed of the show because childrens were having nightmares with him and fox just cut in off to prevent problems, they just pretend he doesnt existed.

I remember as a kid my dad gave me a graggle plush. even though I never watched the show as a kid, I loved this plush. I would take him everywhere with me. But then one day I accidentally left him behind somewhere. When I got back home I realized I didn't have my graggle plush with me anymore, me and my parents tried looking everywhere for him but we couldn't find him. I then developed crippling depression that I still deal with today. I can't believe that some people have forgotten who graggle is when I never forgot him.

i was a huge Graggle Simpson supporter in the weird matt days. the idea that the creator of the Simpsons tried to create a self insert character, only for it to fail miserably and for him to be edited out of the show after S1, its a really cool concept because it acts as a explanation for why season 1 of the Simpsons was so weird and had most of the cast out of character, such as Homer being more down to earth and relatable, and Lisa being a troublemaker just like her brother. you can handwave these character changes away as remnants of Graggle, who's lines and characterisations were taken by other characters when he was erased.

People forget that Graggle Simpson was the first person to ever say, "It's Morbin Time!" Something that Morbius would pay tribute to in memory of Graggle Simpson.

Graggle was really underused in the first three seasons, but season four gave him the best debut in the episode "A Graggle of geese". The scene where he and Bart fight off the geese in their backyard cracked me up, and the side story with Lisa and Maggie going the pond and looking for the geese was alright, and the third act scene does a great job intertwining those two story arcs well. I was honestly disappointed by the lack of praise it got when it aired, but good thing Graggle is trending again, maybe the next seasons can have more of him

I once had a friend who didnt know who graggle from the simpsons was despite claiming to be a huge fan of the show. We had an argument over it until i we rewatched season one. He looked visably shaken and went home right after. I didnt hear from him for weeks so i decided to check in on him only to find him in his room wearing a tin foil hat, rambling about multiverses and wormholes and his walls were covered in ufo pictures, diagrams of black holes, drawings of time machines and old tabloid articles about something called the mandarin effect. Idk what oranges have to do with the plot of rick and morty but needless to say my buddy lost it and we dont talk anymore.

Honestly I had never heard of it before the other day on Twitter and I consider it to be complete bollocks, made up via shitposts and memes. I’ve seen some really well done edits and memes which genuinely look unedited (even stuff that looks like it’s from an analogue tape and fits the cell style) and I could’ve fallen for it if I hadn’t watched the entire Simpsons franchise not too long ago and the character definitely never existed. I think I could believe that it was Mandela Effect or something if it wasn’t so heavily memed since the start, and if his design fitted in with the design language of the show. The fact that it clearly stands out as something wrong and wouldn’t make sense to exist and the fact that his name has changed so many times shows me that it’s all made up.

Graggle is the only character on Simpsons that was able to make me cry. His episode when he stopped Barny from dying of alcohol poisoning moved me to tears, because I grew up in a family of alcoholics, and the episode really hit close to home... I wish I had a Graggle in my life growing up. If it wasn't for Graggle, my neighborhood never would have collectively given up all the hard drugs that were ruining the place. The episode where Graggle became Graggle Man then said "it's Graggleing time!", then proceed to push all the drug dealers out of Springfield was so inspiring. They even started saying "It's Graggleing time!" when fighting dealers. Still can't believe the Graggle 3D beat-em-up was canceled in favor of Simpsons Hit and Run. Like don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but we never got a Graggle game...
