Toughest, yeah, but not the strongest. He's got heart, even when he knows he's outmatched and gonna get his ass kicked he fights anyway. The Contest of Champions story from the 80s did a good job of showing his spunky spirit.
@@williammansfield9711 Thing is more or less on the level of Colossus and he was seen in a panel being stretchered out with his face caved in, luckily in metal form. Colossus was still pretty much a pacifist at that point but he's just as tough as Thing now too. 2nd tier strong guys don't get the same respect as the Hulk and Thor level characters.
Love this character immensely. My favorite F4 member. Been a fan since the 1967 cartoon. Speaking of his height and weight, many artists have drawn him being much taller and heavier. As for his strength, he can actually lift more than 100 tons now.
85 tons was from the 80's, he continually absorbs cosmic radiation, on top of working about. While not as strong as the Hulk he certaintly can clear 100 tons by now.
Gotta love Ben Grimm, easily one of the best heroes in the world. He could've let his anger and grief get to him but he's become one of the greatest heroes in the Marvel universe to the point that people haven't thought of him as a monster like they do of the Hulk despite his much more monstrous appearance.
Iconic. No other way to describe Benjamin J Grimm aka The Thing. His Kryptonite though, are the Yancy Street Gang. The Thing v Hulk clashes are legendary.

Why do I feel like Ben could revert back to his normal form anytime he wants if he just went to Jean Gray or Professor X to see and remove a mental block. But the writers don't want Ben to be great 😭

A VARIANT OF (The THING) I IMAGINE COULD EXIST, HIS FUTURE WIFE & MORE: I imagine in a different realm, a variant of (Ben Grimm) his hero-title is Mr.Thing, and I imagine he has a few extra abilities. For starters one of his extra abilities; Is the ability to transform his rock body back to human, but this ability doesn’t develop until six years later. In addition I imagine another one of his extra abilities, is the ability to learn to do magic, I imagine after mastering learning to do magic, he then casted a spell on himself. And that magic spell gives him the power to regenerate, so that way his body doesn’t age at a normal pace anymore. Now I imagine ten years later (Ben Grimm) aka Mr.Thing, he meets his fourth love interest, and I imagine she is a Alpha Level mutant. Her full name is (Monet St. Croix) & her mutant title is M, I imagine she has an extra mutant ability, and it gives her the ability to have super strength that lasts for eight hours. I also imagine she has a second extra ability, and it’s the power to slow down her body’s natural aging process willingly. Now I imagine BEN dates MONET, for a number of months, before he had decided to propose to her, and I imagine a year later they got married. To add I imagine nine months later they have their first child, that’s a baby boy, and I imagine his name is (Ben Mathews Grimm Jr.). Plus to add I imagine he begins developing his abilities at age:4, and his abilities don’t finish developing until age:30.
Love this video. However, I personally would give Ben a rating of 10 because to me his a legend among legends. As for his strength, while not on par with Wonder Man, Hulk, Thor, Hercules, Sentry, Blue Marvel, Beta Ray Bill, Gladiator, and Sentry, Ben Grimm is still regarded as one of the strongest men and beings on Earth in the Marvel Comics franchise.
Third favorite Marvel hero of all time. Cap is first, and he just barely loses to Iron Man. I enjoy him all the time. The version of him in FF, WGH cartoon is probably the best I've seen of him. You should watch a few episodes.

@@NewSage Benn Grimm is by far one of the most underappreciated Heroes of all time. He was the first to beat the Hulk not because he was stronger but because he had bigger heart even at his own expense.
Ben Grimm, the so-called Thing, will appear in the MCU movies as far more grotesque than he's ever been portrayed before. Misshapen, asymmetrical, oozing between his rocks, and even disgusting mutated maggots crawling out from between his rocks.
My favorite of the Fantastic Four. The Thing has such great storylines and yes, I am including the short live animated show where he was a young guy that could transform into the thing by connecting two rings, he had one on each hand...lol (don't ask how I know about and saw this show).
