Football viewed on TV, with commentary and multiple camera angles and slo-mo can be exciting in its own way, but it is not how I like to enjoy the game. Some people do; I do not. I saw Bergkamp play many, many times over many years. There was often a sense around the stadium (home or away) that he was going to do something special. That doesn't transfer very well to the TV screen. It may be that Ronaldo had (or has) the same effect within a stadium. I don't know, as I never saw him play. I'm sure it was (or is) a treat to watch Ronaldo play football, but I only ever saw him play on TV. I hope that explains my point.

Move on from this. Man Utd had to rebuild for real and bring in many young players and develop them as a winning team. Something that was refused to be done in the last 10 years or so. After SAF retired, Man Utd had to rebuild the team with so new prospects, but didn’t do that and ended up getting the squad old, only adding some players that were known as world class players, where they would be at the top for a few more years and so on. Now look at Man Utd’s squad, where it has a good amount of young players on different positions and all growing quickly. A few more additions on certain positions and will guarantee if a squad injury season comes again, Man Utd won’t be affected as much as now and can still be easily good enough for at least top 3 or 4. Players like Di Maria, Pogba, Schweirzger, Varane, Casemiro and Ronaldo known world class players to come into the squad from 27 and over years old, when you made a good squad team of players with great quality individually and especially as a team where they are also like a young squad. Bringing those players in as additions, to give those players more growth and experience with winning titles and trophies. All of those players came when the team wasn’t set up. When the team didn’t have a rebuild and so. Klopp done this with Dortmund and Liverpool. Arteta done this with Arsenal. Even Guardiola done the same in his first season. Ferguson done this many times and so on. All top successful managers done this and all winning teams/squads went through process like this

I don’t get that feeling. CR7 is obviously one of the all time greats but, I don’t think there was ever any other way his United career ended that second time around. The club clearly is in some state, and they really shouldn’t be signing players like Ronaldo when the team doesn’t have sufficient competitive viability.
