F/GO:”We don’t want to use Artoria because her story is over.” Meanwhile, they shove EMIYA into as many events as they can, showing him interacting with other characters based on his changed perspective from the end of Unlimited Blade Works. I completely understand the frustration that they couldn’t do something similar with Artoria and the Fate route, it’s especially criminal with the amount of fan service they love to shove in the game they didn’t give her lines for Muramasa, the round table, or any of the servants or masters from Fate/Zero.
I still rather see a male mushasi from proper history becoming grand saber. His life just screams life and death by the blade which I feel fits for grand saber if they do add some sort of prerequisite to the class. Pretty neat vid tho
Male Musashi is more a trickster than a real fighter, is not that he can't fight, but he really doesn't care about figthing that much. Also it would be a really character arc for fem Musashi that at the beggining was not a real hero and preferred to save her own ass to ended up being the great hero that we know now that she is. If would be a greac character arc.
I dont think it's gonna be Musashi from PPH. Either him of now DATA LOST that we had, Musashi spent all his life cheating and won duels by cheap tricking his foes.
My money is on Artoria. For all the talk of Artoria fatigue, people certainly didn’t mind Castoria too much. Anyway reasons for (Aside that which is mentioned in the video): her own myth refers to her as “Once and future king”. Excalibur, her primary Noble Phantasm, is a weapon that was purpose made to protect the world. She has several other Noble Phantasms that are implied to be on the same level; either in universe or in legend. These include Avalon, Rhongomyniad, Carnwennan, Prydwen. Etc. On top of that, her Grand Servant self has good chance of having a truly remarkable, not previously mentioned, Noble Phantasm. Rider from Fate/Zero and Saber from Fate/Strange Fake have the remarkable ability to summon forth subordinates as servants by means of Noble Phantasms. Imagine Artoria being able to summon the entire Order of the Round Table. Even if Altera were to be able to summon her hordes from her time as King, they wouldn’t be on the the same level as the KotRT.
I’d like to see Arthur as a Grand since he hunts beasts, which is what Grand Servants are meant to do, but I’d prefer someone new like El Cid for many reasons
Iirc the thing with Cú Alter is that he is like a hybrid of Salter and Jalter. He is the original Cú with his personality inversed by Medb's wish (or rather, called forth a more bored and cold side of himself) and became the only type of king he saw and could thing of. While this manifestation is unatural, he is still Cú and wasnt made out of nowhere like Jalter, being closer to how Salter is Artoria' repressed aspects And speaking of Cú, it would be nuce if he becomes the grand berserker while Artoria/Arthur is the grand saber, since the first fight in FSN (and the franchise as a whole) is Cú vs Artoria
Grand Saber should be Saber Artoria. Idc about musashi that much; King Arthur started this series, so the very first Saber we've seen, Artoria, should be the Grand of her class. But i believe she should use both her weapons (Excalibur and Rhongo with Avalon)
There actually are specific niches that the Grand Knight class Servants were selected for that we know of, although they relate to the specific matters they were summoned for rather than the Grand class container. Orion was summoned to counter Beast IV, the Beast of Cherishment. Orion was known as the greatest hunter in Greek myth and was the beloved of the archer goddess _of_ the hunt, Artemis. As for Zeus and Chaos-who better to counter the supreme beings of Greek myth and than the head of the pantheon and culture that subsumed and somewhat replaced them, the progenitor of Rome? Granted, this applies to the Cavalry Grands as well. Hassan was brought forth to impose death upon a being otherwise undefeatable because death did not apply to her. Noah was brought forth to counter a flood-like threat.
I have a Theory that Arthur Proto is the Grand Saber. If you remember the Dead Heat Race Event, Arthur was searching for a Beast and was wandering across worlds. Even in his interlude, he hints at his fight with a Beast. I believe he is the Grand Saber
My guess it‘s going to be Ado Edem being one of the strongest characters in Nasu and the fact characters like arcueid und ORT could be appearing in the following Lostbelts
In order to The Grand Saber become the GS the same needs three things 1. Be a king or a true leader, a person with not just the highest level of charisma but also tactics, strategies and knowledge of the sword 2. Reached the Top Limit of the sword. something like Musashi that reached the Void (the unlimited point 0 of the sword) The max power of the sword that surpass the gods ( Altera sword by Romulus own words "Her sword technique are probaly even better than my father [Mars] were") Or even the Top of swordmanship that even the heavens open up ( In the end of the Artorian legend is said that after arthur died his body and soul remain in the infinite garden of Avalon on an Ethernal Dream until his home "this can be reffered to Brittain or the world itself showing she is a Grand already" needs her once again). 3. *LASER BEAMS*
Imagine if a version of Mordred ends up being Grand Saber, and finally surpassing Artoria. Not to defeat and replace Arthur, but to protect her loved ones like her father once did for Britain. Mordred is summoned to the age of gods and swings the fully unleased excalibur to destroy the white titan and proves that she is worthy to be King. Upon vanishing after relinquishing her title of Grand, she smiles and says "Father, how did I do?"
The father/son kamehameha but with Mordred and the spectral form of Artoria coming in as support.(that or something involving shishigou because lord knows that he needs some more representation in type moon works)
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the reason Bedivere wasn't in the throne of heroes was because he was still "alive" and hasn't taken his seat yet until he fulfills his request from Artoria. That was my entire interpretation of his story in Camelot, Bedivere was still alive and has yet to be recorded in the throne of heroes until he dies.
Bedivere is a bit of a paradox. The one we meet in Camelot, and thus the one we summon, is something like a Psuedo-Lostbelt version since he is a version that failed to return Excalibur to the lake. But in the normal timeline of events, Bedivere did return the sword and Artoria was able to die. But that version of him wasn't recorded into the Throne, only the still living version of him that comes from a time that doesn't actually exist. It's really confusing tbh.
You can summon servants from past, present AND future. If being dead would've been a requirement to be summoned then Merlin would'nt be summonable at all since he kinda still chilling in the tower to this day. Also archer wouldn't be in Stay night since Shirou still was there.
@@Pokemaster-wg9gx It is a lie, tho, since Merlin learned the skill Independent Manifestation so he can "act" like a Servant, tho he is NOT one by any means. The only real example of summoning a future servant is EMIYA
This is all wrong Bedivere was never a heroic spirit prior to fgo because his impact on history didn't land him in the throne His journey in fgo was recognized by the counterforce and only after that was he added to the throne
While i assume it will be a waifu Heracles himself does have a case for grand saber as he's already been in grand discussion before with archer before orion got the spot. He has access to marmyadose which recently appeared in fgo through castoria and it's stated to be excalibur's superior. He's certainly strong enough with how other servants talk of him and his brief apperances against lostbelt enemies like Surtr and Lostbelt Artemis. Similar to Artoria he isn't in the limelight all to often so while appearing more than Artoria in story content she has far more alternate classes and he one of the only servants from the original series and zero to not receive an alternate in fgo alongside the assassin class servants. Granted Alcides and technically archer herc exist in canon but are far away from making into fgo. Marmyadose in fate canon was used by Heracles to stop the gigantomachia so he atleast has some great use of the weapon and it was inherited by Artoria later on. kind of a ramble but might as well throw in a fourth candidate that i've seen discussed for the role.
Grand saber is a saber that uses the Excalibur, the sword forged by the stars and planets against the white giant aliens. This saber is also called the sacred sword wielder, voiced by the voice of Artoria -- Kawasumi Ayako. But there has been no certain info about who this saber really is.
As a fan of Artoria and Musashi, they both have my vote for Grand Saber. I also have an for a Grand Berserker Candidate, my guess for their condition is the candidates love for battle so much that they stand among the gods. My guess is either Alcides the man that will become the mighty Heracles. Or the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong.
My bet is actually on Musashi but my soul knows its gonna be as easy as Avalon Artoria, my tinfoil hat theory is Avalon Shiro spamming overloaded Excaliburs
I'd much rather Arthur be a grand saber candidate than Artoria, sure the og artoria isn't utilized enough but she's still the face of the franchise and is already proven to be strong as hell, either way at least she had alot to do and is the center of attention Unlike Arthur who was the original saber before he was changed into artoria and was forgotten since she came to existence Besides he canonically fights a beast and that's what grands are meant to do (also apparently his Excalibur is supposedly stronger than artoria's hence the seals) It would be great if it was Arthur instead because if it wasn't for him artoria wouldn't even exist and it makes sense (Watch them make neither of the pendragons grand saber and its just gudako becoming a servant somehow and takes over the franchise-)
This might be stupid but the Grand Saber might be Excalibur itself. Because as the sword of Humanity and a divine construct forged by the planet, maybe it could manifest a physical form and take the spot of grand saber. Or possess the wielders of excalibur and be like Romulus where he possessed Caligula to manifest.
@@mikenava6258 i would just imagine Excalibur showing up and being the most obnoxious Grand Servant ever. Killing the Beast through sheer hair pulling annoyance!!!
Honestly speaking just from a 4th wall perspective giving Artoria the Grand Saber postion makes the most sense. She's literally the poster child of the entire Fate Franchise. Edit. I have no idea why i typed caster not saber initially... castoria on my brain? Idk
I think that Artoria would be a good choice for a Grand Saber, but I also think that I'd we look at who all has qualified for the Saber class, we can get some better clues to how the Grand Saber would be chosen. After all, if I remember correctly, standard Servants are effectively all the Heroic Spirits that didn't make the cut to be the Grand. Looking at the Saber class, I see two qualifications: firstly is being skilled with a sword, but secondly is being a great leader. That's the best explanation I can give for Caesar and Nero, at least. But consider how many Kings qualify for the Saber class, and also consider that the Grands are meant to work together to take down Threats to Humanity. GCaster is information gathering, preparing buffs, and battlefield control, GAssassin opens up opportunities for the others and/or finishes off weakened opponents, GRider ensures that the team can go where it's needed without having to worry about environmental hazards like black mud, GArcher is long-range pinpoint artillery, GLancer provides Frontline utility, GBerserker most likely is there to be a directed apocalypse that is immune to any mental interference, and GSaber is probably the Frontline commander. Granted, I can't really lock in these theories until we see the remaining Grands, bit that is what I find to be mist logical. P.S. I realize this would probably best nit be a response to your comment, but I can't comment normally right now.
My bet for grand saber is going to be the only one Chabelo he even surpassed Queen Elizabeth, sorry a mexican joke, but my candidate is going to be normal Artoria Pendragon as with Excalibur she is the last hope for humanity.
@@alispeed5095 Tf do you mean meh? Avalon (Excalibur’s scabbard) is literally the reason why Earth could be destroyed & then resurrected. On top of that, Excalibur itself is the only divine construct seen ever being able to reflect a portion of Ea when Artoria & Gilgamesh’s noble phantasms clash.
@@Cheroobian Meh coz boring Anyone can shoot a beamu. All sabers shoot beamus, grands aught to be fresh not boring shit. Avalon is also just gear, a grand needs something special. Look at king hassan, he is the ruler of death. Look at Roma with his divine authority/hax. Orion is boring which is no coincidence since among all grands, he seems to be the weakest. If Artoria became grand saber she would be like Orion. A grand that people argue could be beaten by normal servants. Also it's sad when it's yo gear that qualifies you as grand not yo own power. Roma = own power Hassan = own power Solomon = own power Merlin = own power Artoria = gear carried lol Meh
im like 90% sure it's not gonna end up being saber for four reasons mainly 1. all of the grands up until this point have been characters that originate from fgo so it would feel really strange to break this pattern for the last one and would feel downright tacky for that exception to be the face of the franchise 2. Nasu said here story is complete and he is the one who is mainly in charge for the overaching plot of the lostbelt arc 3. It would be really strange for them to have an entire lostbelt focusing on castoria if they already knew that they where gonna have the original saber play a major role in the story 4. grand saber is 100% gonna appear in the final chapter of the lostbelt arc and is probably gonna play a role in defeating the final boss and once again having the face of the franchise appear at the very end of the story to bail out or Main Characters that we have been following for 7 years now would feel like very uncharacteristic pandering
Nasu doesn't have any qualms about breaking established patterns or rules if it means he can have the plot points or character moments he wants. He's said as much himself. If his final draft demands that Artoria is grand saber, he will come up with some sort of explanation, no matter how contrived it ends up being.
@@SiegfriedFafnirsbane I'm not saying I want Artoria to be grand saber, I'm just saying that Nasu's probably not gonna care about the rules when he decides who it will be. Personally, I much prefer Altera.
Grand saber hassan would be extremely interesting if he were to fuse with sword of damocles. One a master of death, while the other the embodiment/concept of forebolding death But my guess is between michael or a sword god taking control of musashi. Yes, raphael is the one with flaming sword, but michael was the one given the sword to defeat lucifer by god. If it were to be a different god, then i agree with the popular theory of susano fusing with musashi. It would tie up her story nicely and maybe she can finally stop wandering with chaldea being her home instead of just a pit stop. PHH Koujiro floated in my mind a little but i feel it is more likely he becomes our enemy to act as the trigger to pull musashi back from data loss
For me, personally the one who has left is someone who created the most important concept of humanity, the concept of Hero who would have left would be Gilgamesh and I aside that it has EA that has the concept of a sword
I think you're overlooking one servant. A Saber version of Sasaki Kojiro. Even as an assassin he was able to out duel Artoria. Think what he could do as a true Saber.
There's actually a reason I didn't talk about him, though while making this video it was subconscious and didn't realize till the other day. Sucks because it would have made a good talking point. But, I strictly only looked at existing Sabers while making this. I realized that the reason I did this was because I was going along with the pattern FGO set up. Both the Grand Knight classes so far have been upgraded versions of a pre-existing Archer and Lancer. So same might be true of Saber. I very briefly touched on that in the video, but I really wish that I was conscious of that while making it lol so fail on my part regardless
I think DW could make a saber version of Sasaki Kojiro, but I don’t think he can qualify as a grand saber. In the og lore the reason why he doesn’t qualify as a saber even with some op swordsmanship is because he doesn’t have a sword that qualifies as a noble phantasm like Excalibur. His sword technique tsubame gaeshi qualifies as a np, but not his sword alone thus is the reason why he didn’t qualify as a saber in the og. Sure in fgo there have been a bunch of sabers these days that really don’t have swords that are special, they’re just a bunch of katanas, but in my opinion servants that just don’t qualify as heroic spirits with actual sword noble phantasms just doesn’t sit right with me if they become grand saber. So the idea of Sasaki Kojiro being able to qualify as a grand saber would really suck, or it’s just plain out bad. Sorry just my opinion, no offense.
@@PaVer-II Bro this can easily be fixed. Remember grands are heroes chosen by the counter force. It's not far fetched for a hero to be granted power by the counter force. Sasaki can simply be given an OP katana of legend and there we go. I just don't want grand saber to end up being some beamu spammer. I mean think about it, what Artoria does can be done by anyone with her Mana and a weapon of Excaliburs power. On the flip side, what musashi does, only she can do. The same applies to sasaki. This is what grands should be, take king Hassan. No one does his thing. What of Roma? Same thing. Unique. Not stale beamu shit
He probably won’t be it, but I definitely would say Sigurd is a contender. Skill wise he rivals Musashi and Artoria, then Gram is terrifying in terms of ability, plus extra stuff he can do.
Best saber on sword skill-musashi,lancelot Best saber with the best and strongest sword in the fate verse-there is multiple of them but the most famous 1 are excalibur artoria/arthur Saber that the best on slaying beast and giant-siegfried,sigurd and arthur Best saber on brute force-gawaiin Choose mate For me its between arthur and musashi
My theory for Grand Berserker: a member of the first Biblical family, Adam, Eve, Cain, or Abel. Adam and Eve were the first humans to disobey God, and what could be more 'mad' than that? Cain is the first murderer, of his own brother, no less; he could definitely fit the role of Berserker. And Abel is the first murder victim, at the hands of his own brother. Who knows how that could have shattered his mind? Just wild speculation on my part though.
Cain would fit better as a Grand Assassin. Assassins are synonymous with death, and in dealing it, and who would be more intimately familiar with the taking of a life than the Original Murderer himself?
Artoria. Who else, but the face of the franchise and the Saber class as a whole. Her or Altera, it's a unstoppable force meets unmovable object. The sword that can destroy all, the white titan verse the sword of Victory, The sword of the stone that makes the wielder undestroyable.
except Musashi is a japanese and Lasengle is a Japanese company it checks out plus Musashi’s story is to be the best swordsman ever a grand saber conclusion fits so well
@@AC2k14GOD Nah, there would be no fate series without Saber. It's probably going to be Musashi to bring her back from death into the story. But even so i think Saber is more fitting.
In the original draft for Lostbelt 6 the stage 3 version of Artoria Caster/Castoria which is known as Artoria Avalon was supposed to be the Grand Saber, which is why she appears as such during U-Olga Marie's dream fight against the 7 Grand Servants, but the idea was scrapped for some reason.
I know it’s boring, but Artoria is probably going to be Grand Saber. Grand Assassin isn’t an assassin, he’s “death made flesh”. Grand Lancer is not a spear, but a “foundation towards the future.” Grand Saber probably is “a Sword that cuts a path towards humanity’s future.” Artoria is a woman who tried to be “the perfect King”, to strive towards a perfect future.
? Arthur is used in fgo arcade to deafet many Beast class servents and got to us to do the same and in his interluds he says that to so., The grand Servants can t use the grand status to kill something that is not the target from the Counter Force so maby Arthur has not used his Grand Status for us to kill Beast 666 (Fate/Prototype)
The reason that version of artoria doesn’t have that much interaction is because they confirmed that they didn’t want to focus on that version of saber too much also there’s a pattern with all grand servants in fgo “ All of them debuted in fgo itself” don’t know how fans missed that detail. Also I think it’s stated in lostbelt 2 that in terms of strength Sigurd is the strongest saber but I feel like Musashi is the best fit well the male one plus literally histories best swordsman. I feel like the male one might merge his spirit origin with the female one to make her comeback and also technically be from pan human history since they’ll be merged
I completely agree, giving her story and how popular she is among fanbase Musahi can definitely become Grand Saber. Other than her I can se Artoria as well, because with Avalon she is the most powerful in her class as she is basically unbeatable.
I feel of they go the arturia route, they could make it a post fate route arturia. This would not only allow us all that juicy character interaction between the fsn cast, but it would make sense on some level, since this would be an arturia who recovered avalon. I always felt that when they said arturia was the strongest saber, they meant peak artoria, which would be her WITH avalon. Avalon is after all, one of the most busted item in the series, between passive regeneration at an insane level, and the ability of as long as she has mana for avalon true name release, she is straight up invincible, no questions asked
I'd really love to see Sasaki Kojiro summoned as a Saber and a proper Heroic Spirit, rather than a Phantom Spirit, and become the Grand Saber. Grand Servants are chosen by becoming the pinnacle of what it means to be that type of Servant, and Kojiro managed to reach the _Second True Magic_ just by practicing with a sword. Plus, in Shimousa, we _saw_ a Saber version of him match up to Musashi, with the two of them reaching _conceptual ideals_ just through sheer skill. If that doesn't mark him as an insanely powerful potential Saber, I don't know what does. That said, I'd love to see a Grand version of Artoria, named something like "Artoria Avalon" and with skills similar to Morgan - a superior version of Charisma, an NP-generating skill, and a third skill with an excessive number of abilities, like a party-wide turn of invulnerability, debuff cleansing, and healing, to represent how much Avalon increases her power. I also definitely agree with Artoria's dearth of My Room lines - she should, at the very least, get lines for other Servants from Stay Night and Zero, and with some actual care, she'd get lines for most if not all of the Knights, other versions of herself like Saber Alter, Artoria Lancer, and Castoria, and Iskander, given how important he was to her arc in Zero.
I have an idea for another contender for grand saber, Kojiro, I know it wouldn’t make sense narratively but under the circumstance of Musashi cutting the void and Kojiro being endless possibilities, I don’t fully remember what she called it in the EoR but she recognized him as a powerful swordsman, that’s just what I think, and sadly I don’t even use him, but after shimosa I gave it a think
So I actually have a theory and that grand Saber is going to be a pseudo servant Artoria being possessed by the person who used Excalibur to kill Sefar makes sense in my opinion since this person has no legend due to being alive during the Stone Age so they have to use a vessel and who better than Artoria to fill that role and yes I’m specifically disqualifying Arthur just spite his toxic fanboys
Grand Berserker should be Cain, flew into a rage over his brother Able. Committed the first murder. You’ve even got a great name for a noble phantasm, marked of Cain!
I say it’s Gilgamesh for his sword of rapture EA is the very first concept of a sword , maybe he can be a grand servant from another world liek lostbelt servant
I would be satisfied with Artoria or Musashi. Artoria because she is my favorite, and her coming in finally as the grand would be hype. And Musashi has been with us for a long time in the story, and her spirit origin returning as a grand would be amazing.
so before I say who I think is the CURRENT Grand Saber I want to go over everything we know about The Grand Title because you miss a few small things and what Nasu is willing to wright. So, we kwon like you said in the video there are a few over all qualification for The Grand Title they are. You must be the Pinnacle of that class, You must not be a Devin sprite/ you must have strong connection to the Human Order, And finally you must be well known in that class. Also like you said in your video each Class has their own qualification and we only kwon of one for 100% four we can make good estimates on what they are bass on what that Grand says and does and the last two we know nothing about, so the one we know for 100% like you said is The Grand Caster the caster in question must have the Clairvoyance skill rank at EX. now the four we can estimate is The Grand Assassin qualification is more than likely the ability to put anything to death life, contract, skill, etc. next is Grand Archer is probably the ability to shot down The Impossible, Grand Lancer must likely to be able to wheeled a lance of Pure Light, Grand Rider is more than likely what you said the Ability to ride any Mount or the ability to carry or save The Human rase. now that that's done who do I think is the CURRENT Grand Saber and who else qualifies so I think the CURRENT Grand Saber in Proper Human History Miyamoto Musashi as much as I want are Best Big Sister to return to us, I don't think it her but Proper Human History Musashi is far more likely for two reason one the game literally states that Proper Human History Musashi is much stronger than our Big Sister two is than Proper Human History Musashi is regarded as The best Swordman in the world so that is who I think the CARNET Grand Seber is now for the other qualifies so if we all think Musashi has a change to get the Grand Title then we have to put Sasuke Cojido the man who seen by most an equal to Musashi in sword skill. So now let's talk about Altria and why I don't think she will never be a Grand and why I don't want her to be so let's get easy one out of the way. Nasu said Altria story is done and he is not going to wright anymore stories about her which is why we have been only getting alternat version of her in FGO and she is currently in Avalon with Shoe because Marlin sent Fou out of Avalon after watch the fifth holy grail war and seeing Altria get her happy end with Shoe so that is why I don't think she will never be a Grand now why I don't want her to be a Grand I just don't think she interesting as a female King Arther by that I mean she acted like how I thought King Arthur would act and just didn't like it when they could have done something defend like what they did with female Marlin I was expecting more so hoping that they would have done a big twist on female Arthur also her wish in Fate/Zore and Stay Night just rubbed me the wrong way I mean it works for the first half of Zore with her liking Britin's fall to her and wanting to change that but for it doesn't make sense after the talk of Kings with Rider telling her why her wish is wrong and Altria saying that Rider might have a point because one of her knights said something similar to her before and then after her fight with Lancelot she just doubles down on her wish like did she forget that whole episode with Rider and Gil and that Lancelot wanted to be punish for his afar with Guinevere I just don't understand how Saber came to the wish that she has. Now let's talk about Arthur and why I think he will get the Grand Title and why I want him to get it so why I think he is going to get The Grand Title his story is LITERALLY TIED WITH ONE OF THE EVILS OF HUMANITY I mean his Marlin tells him he can't go into Avalon until Beast VI is destroyed and unlike Altria Arthur story is still on going and I think the third arc of FGO is going to about Arhtur and The Beast of 666. and personally, this is my favorite version of King Arthur and it's what I was hoping Altria a more up bet version of Arthur yes, they do have the same wish for the same reason in the beginning but after his brief talk with Ayaka Arhtur sees the flaws of his wish a changes it half though Sky Fragments he funny and has a good sense a humor picking on and joking with Ayaka in Prototype his a good cook and hepple's Ayaka find a beater sore of MagiCraft to use and is all around a grate dud but that's just my thought grate job on the video Anime Void keep up the grate work
It has to be Musashi her whole story arc revolves around being the best swordmaster and they gave her screentime in the losbelts, it’s pretty much confirmed to be the the strongest swordmaster at the end of Shimosa.
To chime in on this, basically Musashi and Sasaki were deadlocked. Infinity vs Nothingness, they were total opposites and they were even. However, Musashi won the fight thanks to one simple thing: Quantum Mechanics. A subject I do not pretend to understand, but basically, because the fight was observed by Ristuka Fujimaru, and they wanted Musashi to win, Musashi won. But a total lapse in writing made that confusing, since Sasaki was able to walk away for some reason, despite the narrative stating that he lost. I think about this a lot.
The fame Excalibur! Ummmaybe artoria pendragon? Sword= excalibur Spear= longinus aka spear of destiny Bow= Orion did get it Berserker= asuras wrath Caster= solomon Best rider in history? = Elijah! He rides the flaming chariot!
Altera can't be a candidate because the main qualifications for any grand is to be a protector for Alya and Humanity that's why Romulus as the founder of Rome and a god is qualified. So Altera being an alien that swore destruction have extremely low chances of being a grand.
Great video! Gave me a dose of copium since I'm also on team Musashi for Grand Saber. Although I think a version of her that has both her,her PHH counterpart and something else for let's say third ascension(?) (Similar to Maou Nobu) is one of my greatest copes. We've still have yet to see about Salter's mysterious "defender of humanity" thingy from the memorials so I don't cross that out either.
Well the Grand Berserker I would like to be a Norse person, probably Arngrim/Tyrfing since he is literally called the father of Berserkers and wields a sword that can only be described as an incarnation of madness itself. But knowing how fate tends to dump on Norse mythology on any given occasion while giving Celtic mythology some of the most glorified treatment ever, you can kind of guess how my hopes for that are really low. As for Grand Saber, if its not the person with the strongest sword, Artoria wielding Excalibur the sword of promised victory, then its probably someone who mastered the sword like Miyamoto Musashi, or it could just be someone who embodies a sword like Kabin Waleed, described as the sword of God who defeated both the Eastern Roman Empire and Persia and helped establish the first Islamic caliphate although he might be a controversial one because he was a bloodthirsty murderer that killed so many people including people of the Islamic faith. Or it could just be a Spaniard who figured out how the hell a Destretza manual works.
Tbh I would like someone new as grand saber. I have two choices in this 1st Yamato Takeru the weirder of holy sword Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi. 2nd Drona teacher of Prince of Kuru dynasty from Mahabarata. His sword Asi said to be the concept of weapons itself.
OK i have a wild theory but hear me out here. King arthur either version works is grand saber but ultimately is gravely wounded by whatever we are fighting. Through many story based shenanigan's Our Mordred gets Excalibur and (maybe) promotes to grand saber. Mordred's had quite a bit of character development since joining chaldea and worked through many of her demons, that i can see a moment where her father recognizes Mordred as a worthy successor. It might not happen exactly like that but it would be epic.
8:16 Look I know she is a great saber, she have’s the power of a dragon running through her veins and be able to destroy cities with a single strike, A true since of the word knight but never has the leader ship skills for her nation, she was A figurehead a failure of a king, some people might be pissed about that, but for the king of conquerors, there is no greater shame than stand and watch as her own country went down in flames by her own beliefs and by her own blood. if that’s not heartbreaking I don’t know what is. Sorry for busting your balls Sir.
Im personally a fan on King David becoming the Grand Saber given the fact that he was indeed strong, not to mention that he and his son can both be Grand servants, or well, former grand servant for one of them. Other than that, I'm ok with Artoria or Musashi.
@@brandonkirk6498 David was favored more by the people of Israel after defeating Goliath, Saul was seen as a coward and he was jealous that David was being praised, even though David was humble and offered his earnings from the duel against Goliath to God, though that would not last long as he would take the sword from Goliath that he had offered to God to fight against Saul.
Kinda feel like giving my opinion so here goes (I'm no big expert on Fate universe at all btw). Altera has a strong chance due to how Olympus and Avalon le Fae set up a backstory with strong histories with Sefar. Add in the fact that the Animuspheres specialize in astromancy and Olga is the enemy, for some reason it just makes me feel like Altera would fit the role to fight against Olga. What better to fight a civilization destroying being (Sefar) than a servant who says she can do nothing but destroy. Now I don't have much to add about Musashi. She has a tendency to show up kind of unexpectedly, and also her skills with swords definitely qualify her imo. I could see them bringing her back into the story in a legitimate way. But I think between these 3 candidates, Musashi has a smallest chance, just me though. Now Artoria Pendragon. I believe she is most likely, for a couple big reasons. The first is that she is basically the poster child of the entire Fate franchise, and yet as you mentioned, her original version really has very very little screen time, let alone in major turning points in the story. SECOND, and this is the big one for me. Near the end of the official Lostbelt part 2 video, they show Oberon, the Fairy Knights, Castoria, THEN SALTER, and then Olga Marie. Of all the things to show in a video talking about the 2nd half of the Lostbelt arc, you go back to the very first singularity in the game and show Salter looking out over a burning Fuyuki. This just tells me Artoria (yes I know it was Salter) still has some important prevalence. She was there in that incident at the very start, and now that scene is being thrown back at us right near the climax. That seems insanely suspicious to me. And not to mention the talk about Excalibur being crucial to the history of Avalon le Fae. I could totally see them making a scene of Artoria clearing all the seals on Excalibur to fight the final boss. Personally after seeing the scene of Gray breaking some of the seals for Rhongmyniad in the El Melloi II anime, I would love seeing a canon scene with Artoria where all the seals are cleared and its full potential is unlocked. But on the other hand with Sefar's existence being thrown around in the story, it would also be cool to see Altera have a big moment.
I’m still holding out hope for charlemagne to be a grand. He and Artoria are the ones that I really consider to be sensical as the embodiment of the class, which is what grands were supposed to be before the Greek lostbelt upended things.
Yeah I’d love it for Artoria to be be grand saber, as long as it’s the Lancer Version with a sword. Also I’m betting Musashi is gonna return as a grand with Fate logic.
I remember asking myself this question and returned to the good old OP Gil, Yes I imagine Grand Saber Gilgamesh with only EA no Gate of Babylon after Enkidu's death going full divine massacre, starting the end of the age of gods. It would never happen but its valid to dream.
I find it pretty weird that no one is talking about Heracles.. In his legend it's been noted that he is most skillfull with the Bow and his sword. The man is a legit beast if you look at the 12 labours he did. Also, he wielded the marmyadose a sword that surpasses excal (noted in legend and if u look at the castoria profile, her staff is the weapon). On top of that, he knows the nine-lives technique, combine that with marmyadose and its basically over. He is super, SUPER strong, even said that after he became a god he is as powerful or even stronger than Zeus himself. And his connection to humanity of one of the greatest. I don't see a reason why he wouldnt be grand saber. It's Alcides/heracles after all... Thoughts?
The Grand Berserker has been confirmed to have originally been Tezcatlipoca but when First Hassan left hist station to join Caldea Tez was given the title of Grand Assassin to basically act as a bench warmer
I know and understand this, but to paraphrase a popular movie quote, which isn't directed at you but the writing staff: "I recognize that the council has made a decision. But given that it's a foolish decision, I've elected to ignore it."
I do agree that Musashi Will return as Grand Saber, I think she most likely gained qualification with the acts of LB Olympus. Also the Data Lost Status surely Will be a plot device in the future for her INEVITABLE RETURN. You read it from me first.
I couldn't help but notice that there is also supposed to b another condition for Grand Servants. They kinda have to b like Ruler in the way that they are not supposed to have a wish for the Holy Grail and have a ultimate desire to save the world and cast aside their worldly desire. That's why Solomon making a wish in the first place shouldn't have happened. I'm not sure how Beserker will go, if u ask me Hercules seems like the best choice for Grand, but the fact he isn't may implie Beserker may need to not b crazy or something. Can't wait to c wat happens!
My general guesses are based around them having some connection to Excalibur, so barring proto-Arthur, my guesses are a bit weird. Nimue, the Lady of the Lake. The Servants tend to be more powerful the further back in time they are, so the previous owner could be the grand. The Faerie Blacksmiths of Proper Human History. Same logic and vagueness as before, but with more confirmed heroics through forging the holy sword. Mysterious Heroine X (Saber). She's Artoria in everything but name and with far crazier powers that manage to scare Koyanskaya. Assassin MHX has also shockingly been fighting in cutscenes during the battle at Timeless Temple, so she still directly intervenes in the main story despite being a joke character. Artoria (Extra). She's given the "Top Servant" title also given to Iskandar and Gilgamesh, defeats both of them at the same time in her story, can use rapid-fire Excalibur NPs and is given a more imposing portrait. Though she ranks dead last because, much like the other Top Servants, she most likely is the regular Artoria with the advantage of the Moon Cell being filled to the brim with resources to help her work at peak performance.
Thinking about what we saw with Grand Lancer, Guan Yu also comes to mind. A man who became a pillar and eventually a god much like we saw with how they did Romulus. I also think that after relinquishing the post, assassin will have opened up to other candidates, Cain for example being the first to bring death would seem to fit, many of the other myths being too divine. I don't believe for a second Mushasi is fully dead, her being recorded as heroic via her sacrifice makes a lot of sense, but I hope she isn't grand saber and instead its someone new. The original wielder of Excalibur I think has a high chance at it, and could more than likely be a saberface. Excalibur being 'The' famous sword both in universe as well as real life. Other options I can see as Sasaki Kojiro as a full on saber, we have Kusanagi with Ibuki but a japanese servant with Totsuka no Tsurugi / Ame no Habakiri as a Caliburn/Excalibur separation could also fit well here. There is Saber Heracles if they want to go down that path, I dont think they will but its certainly an option. I think there is also a possibility that they want each of the Grand classes to come from a different mythology at least to begin with.
If Grand Saber is not an Excalibur wielder (preferably Artoria, she deserves it) I'll riot. Also, I doubt someone with any relation to the White Titan would be chosen by the Counterforce to be the Grand Saber, considering Earth's history with Sefar
The guy can be pseudo servant I think but since no one knows he exist he can’t be a normal servant not saying he can’t be grand Saber but he will probably need a vessel
I would like for a version of Shirou to be Grand Saber. Yeah it might be stupid and whatever but that's what I want. Someone who is both sword and sheath as Grand Saber.
