In this video, we review the Volvo XC 40 1.5 T5 plug-in hybrid R-Design. Our test car is from the first generation, which was produced between 2018 and 2021. The XC 40 will be available to buy from 2022 with the 1st facelift.
Our XC 40 is powered by a 261 hp (192 kW, 425 Nm) plug-in hybrid engine with front-wheel drive.
According to the manufacturer, the combined fuel consumption is 2.1 l/100 km (WLTP). In turn, the combined consumption of the electric drive is 15.2 kWh/100 km (WLTP) and it achieves a purely electric range of 45 km.
