I've been eating fatty meals in the day and carbs in the evening and there's something to this. I'm not hungry. Sometimes not hungry at all which can be problematic and my energy levels are more stable throughout the day.
Really great video, objective and well put together! I have been doing carb backloading for 2 years. I feel most people have low levels of serotonin. For sure, it is not for everyone but unless they test their neurotransmitters it's hard to know. I always say to clients, test and then feedback.
And what is the best way of testing? Lets say I do not eat carbs at night for 5-6 days (I assume there is a period of time while your body adapts), and I do not eat for another 5-6 days?
Christian has a test on his site which will give you a good idea. Difficult to get it 100% accurate as their are not official tests but if you suffer from depression and anxiety, it may be an indication.
Evening does not mean right before bed. I make sure not to eat 3hrs before sleeping. If I'm super hungry 2hrs before. That's enough time to digest and you shouldn't have a problem with sleep. Also don't just eat pure sugar or something crazy as your last carb meal. Just some.
