Dame has finally moved on, but what NBA players are going to break up with their teams next? Luka Doncic, Joel Embiid, plus a few others feature in this speculation. #basketball #commentary #nba
Crazy we’re in a state of the nba rn where a guy can go to 2 finals in 4 years and people still look and be like yea I don’t think it would be impossible for him to leave😭
I wonder if Trae Young is a sneaky possibility. Like with Luka and the Mavs (though less risky), the move the Hawks FO made with the new coach feels like the last pitch to make the team work. I also imagine Trae will have a lower price tag than the stars on this list so a deal could be made more easily than for say Embiid where there would be a lot more haggling.
I really think joel has to go asap. The sixers front office just…. While he had been injured, he deserves a player who doesn’t have the team go through turmoil. He really needs stability
True I still can’t forget how they chose Ben Simmons opinion and comfort on the court over what Embid wanted which was to keep Jimmy Butler over Tobias Harris, if I’m Embid I’m staying loyal but if I see a regression in effort of making a good team I’m leaving
Luka’s too young to ask for a trade. Embiid should definitely be the next one to ask for a trade. Just build around maxey because sixers ain’t winning regardless. Jazz are smart for trading gobert and mitchell earlier. Teams should think that way (unless you have the top 2 players today).
I think the one team that is a serious contender, if they want to be, in the Joel Embiid sweepstakes that I haven’t seen any one talk about is the Thunder
@@patrickhanlon2325 I fully believe Chet and Joel could play together and possibly thrive. They both can be respectable jump shooters at the least so spacing shouldn’t be a huge issue and are versatile enough defensively to dominate. I also think the league is trending back to playing with more “traditional” power forwards in the sense that they’re bigger but updated with a little more range and more defensive versatility, but not a small ball 4. I’d imagine the big young asset in the trade is either Josh Giddy or J-Dub (I’d try everything to not trade J-Dub if I were the Thunder tho), Bertans and Dort for the contracts, If there isn’t a third team involved, Poku so the Sixers can say they got someone else with “theoretical” potential and 3-5 first round picks depending on the actual players being traded. I think the biggest issue is the lack of potential bigs Philly could get in return but I picture this as a three team trade where Philly gets a promising youngish big and whoever that team is gets more draft assets from the Thunder and a salary filler from Philly. I’m thinking someone like Onyeka Okongwu if the Hawks season isn’t going well or something along those lines. The more that I think about this the more it makes sense to me but maybe I’m just delusional lmao
@@patrickhanlon2325 yea I definitely don’t think this is the most plausible outcome for a Joel trade but I’ve just been surprised that no one has even mentioned the Thunder (at least that I’ve seen) with all the assets they have.
Bet you Luka doesn't get traded within the next 2 seasons! I don't think Luka wants to leave Dallas ever, but if they royally fuck things up, then eventually he'll need to go to an organization that can put a more competitive team around him. I think Dallas has 3-4 more seasons to build a real contender before Luka will need to move on.
Whenever I see that the Clippers should blow the team up the first reply is always that they need to sell tickets when they move to their new arena next season, and I couldn’t disagree more. Their owner Steve Ballmer is one of the richest men on planet earth. He needs to do what is best for the team which would also save him a lot of money.
Borderline superstars being traded is more likely Trae Young,Ja Morant, etc but I could see Luka or Embiid getting traded in the next few years I would say 2024 at the earliest but who knows
The Knicks will make a big trade this season, not off-season. They have to, not even as a Knicks fan. They have 4 first round picks but they do not have enough roster space to sign them all. They need to unload some of those picks. Especially because they are a playoff team so they will just get multiple low first round picks.
Truthfully I think after Embiid I still wouldn't be surprised if it's Giannis. The Dame trade strengthened their window to win another title but it didn't lengthen it since Dame and Jrue are the same age. Ya never know, he's not Dirk and he isn't content to retire with 1 team no matter what after just 1 title but maybe after 2 or 3 he is or maybe with advancements and sports medicine and conditioning practices that window is longer than we think and LeBron length careers are the new norm but either way...ya know.
Embiid probably. To where though? Who knows. To Embiids second choice after he demands the Heat or Knicks and the 76ers dig in their heels and say no. So... The Mavericks probably.
I could see one of these players being moved if a team that thinks they have a chance has a big trade package. You mention Kawhi and Paul George at the beginning. I think at least one could be traded; I don’t know how much of a chance the Clippers have right now. But the question would be what would they get?
Rusty.. what in goddamn is hair doing. Like.. not hating or anything but like just relax bro please. I like your videos a lot and even tho you say you got a monotone ass voice, id actually say its calming and while mbe not that easy to keep my eyes open if listening to your opinions as a bedtime story, still kinda meditative tho and yeah all love. *proly weirdest comment ever* but like yeah your follicles or whatever.. they wanna breath bro! free the follicle goddamn! Again like dont exactly know your routine or history/experience with hair but like a bit of shampoo massage on scalp mbe a little condish or somth if you really need it but whatevers going on aint it bro sry. Like i said i really enjoy this and wanna know what you feeling about this and that around the league but for some reason lately all i see is hAiR.. hairrr everywhere. distracting as shit ngl lmao anyways love and kisses from latvia my guy😘💋❤❤❤💪
I think LeBron is going to be moved next, and I don’t think it’s particularly close either. Since Bronny James is coming in very soon, unless the Lakers get him he’s going to be switching teams.
He’s not a superstar, but I think the TWolves will move KAT if they see themselves as a contender. Ant is there to stay, and you’re not gonna get much from trading Gobert.
If the Celtics don’t win this year I can see Luka. Brown, White and a bunch of picks will be a good place to start. They get an all star player in Brown and a all defensive team player to pair with Kyrie in the back court. With the draft capital they acquire and the rest of their assets they can go hunting for a front court.
There is nothing on the Celtics roster bar Tatum who'd interest the Mavs. They have garbage picks, and Brown isn't remotely worth 60 million dollars and every Celtics fan knows it. Luka will command an absolute king's ransom, only young players with potential plus a treasure trove of picks will get that done. The Mavs will make any team bleed for assets before giving him up.
Celtics could offer Tatum+4FRP and mavs say no to that. BIG REASON? Those all the picks will be 25-30 every year & Tatum is not a engine like luka. Tatum cannot even win with a superteam what would he get done for a subpar roster???
Such a fall from grace for Mr.Rusty Buckets. Who once was a credible and insightful NBA content creator with a basketball between his legs has been reduced to a clickbait farming bland basketball dude with recycled takes that are consistently days and weeks old. Hope we see a turn around, Rusty! All in hopes of an improved channel, Amen.
If Embiid ends up getting traded to another team then he's officially in my top 5 biggest bitch in the NBA. Dude's got a stacked roster for 5 years and never once got out of the 2nd round, cry his way to the MVP and disown his own country. Dude's might be a top 5 Bigs skillwise, but he's just not HIM when it matters the most
