WHOLE WHEAT BREAD
READ ME❗️
⁉️For some may find the dough too wet or sticky but if it’s manageable to knead then it’s not necessary to add flour. The longer it’s being kneaded will become smooth & elastic.
⁉️Every flour may behave differently when absorbing liquid, so in case the recipe's measurement might not be compatible with the quality of your wheat flour or if your dough mixture turned out too wet & seems impossible to knead, then it’s a sign to add flour.
✔️Ingredients
1 cup lukewarm water [240 ml]
2 & 1/2 tbsp honey [38 ml]
1 & 1/2 tsp instant yeast [5 grams]
1/4 cup vegetable oil [60 ml]
1/4 tsp salt
2 & 1/2 cups whole wheat flour [300 to 340 grams] (weight may vary, add up if it needs it coz every flour absorbs liquid differently)

I made this yesterday. Somehow I think it would taste better with milk and butter instead of water and oil but the bread came out beautiful and was soft and yummy. Nice recipe.

This is the best loaf of bread I have ever made. I weighed the ingredients and had to add about 1/4 cup more flour, but it was great. As a single person this was great for me.

I made so many tries recipes..but this recipe is parfact bread my bread is very spongy and dialysis....my whole home is fresh baking aroma I can't explain it..i used ghee not oil thanks this recipe.....❤❤❤

The taste is WOW - super good However - my dought was super sticky. I added more flour (several times), but I stopped cause I was afraid that it will be too much. I kneaded the doaugh as best I could with a spatula, it did rise, but still it came out a little flat. BTW - I used King Arthur Whole Wheat (unbleached).

I made this bread today but will have to try again. This loaf came out way too dense. Heavy like a fruit cake and while baking it didn't rise above top of pan. Gonna try mixing the wheat flour with bread flour and using the entire packet of instant yeast next time.

bread baking is an art You've got to make sure that the dough is not too dry it should be a little bit sticky when you finish needing it in the machine if it's too dry then your loaves will be too dense, takes a few tries to get it right once you get the experience it'll be no problem

@@gf9816 I have been trying to find out if the 3 holes on the bottom of that loaf pan has something to do with the end result but, she won't reply back to me!😒 I have asked twice! No reply! I would like to try this but, if she is useing a trick with holes in the bottom of that bread pan well, I would like to know what that's about!

Same here. Too dense and heavy. It didn't rise much after sitting in the pan. After baking it turned into a brick hard piece of bread.

Tried this recipe, but somehow bread too was little hard and inside it was little undercooked. In taste it is like yeast taste. The only difference was that I put on 350F and I had to add more flour as it was way too sticky that I wasn’t able to knead it. Can you please suggest what I should do for next time?

Tried this recipe yesterday and followed every step given.. but my dough became quite sticky and very dense.. even after I baked it, the bread did not raise as high as yours.. could you please kindly share the whole wheat flour brand you use? Or is there any other trick I must use?

Thats because they use gluten added flour ..otherwise it is impossible to get texture like a all purpose flour bread!!!

I seen three holes on the bottom of that loaf pan when she was putting the rolled dough in that pan, wonder if that has something to do the rise??

@@munirahmounique1248 If you find that your dough is too sticky to handle, let it rest. Anywhere from 5 minutes to 20. Do the pull and fold technique 4 to 8 times around, then leave it alone for 10 minutes. If it's still stubborn, do the pull and fold one more time then just leave it for 20 to 30 minutes. Whole wheat flour can be finicky to work, but time is your friend. :D

@@deepabisht1226 Not necessarily. I have been using a whole wheat flour that's a DREAM to use for making 100% in a recipe. It's the type of wheat you use that makes an easy-to-handle dough, not always the case though, you're right. In this instance, she states that you'll need a high-protein whole wheat flour if you want a good result. However, you can work with the flour you have if you try the suggestion I left in my reply above. I hope it helps.

@@charithamysore6790 yes I did add about 1/5 all purpose flour because i didn’t have enough whole wheat. The bread did break into few pieces but tasted great.

Thanks for the recipe. Made the bread and its wonderfully soft. However, the middle of the bread sink in a little. Why does that happen?

That's usually because you may have left it to rest too long the 2nd time. How big did it get the 2nd time? Just before it went in the oven? It's called over-proofed. It can also happen if you didn't let it cook long enough. Were there raw edges inside the bread? Those are the 2 usual reasons for a bread to sink in the middle after coming out of the oven. I hope you tried to bake again!

Hi Yeast Mode. May I know your wholewheat flour's brand? I tried twice but can't reach windowpane stage & the dough didn't rise like yours. Checked my yeast is still good. Please advise. Thanks.

Your dough was probably over-worked, please be vigilant coz kneading time may vary with the development of gluten, if your dough's gluten develops faster, then taking longer time to knead will result to a dry, dense & tough dough thus the yeast won't be able to expand the dough. If you're getting hard time to achieve the windowpane, I would suggest to just knead the dough for only about 4 - 5 mins. regardless of the windowpane. Without reaching windowpane but If dough is successfully proofed, bread will still become soft & fluffy. Hope this info may help you for your next try :) Good luck. :)

Use the amount of water given in the recipe and SOAK the flour in it for at least 4 hours, but better overnight in the refrigerator. ALL the water, yes. The next day, add this "dough" to the rest of the ingredients and follow the instructions as given.
