The second law of thermodynamics says that in a closed system all order reverts to chaos and disorder. This law determines all things in the universe, including running a 2 hour marathon. All human activity has a natural limit. We may find that the 2 hour mark is below our natural limit. The only thing that will change that is shoes, but is that really us breaking the mark. RIP to Kelvin.
It's interesting that despite all the scientific progress made in the last 30 years, there are still so many track and field records from the late 80s and early 90s. My guess is that the reason for this is improvements in doping tests.
I really love the variety of sports and topics this channel cover. Always wanted to start a channel like that but I'm still trying to figure out things, so yours has really been a huge inspiration to me
It's kinda funny that people think that running a marathon in less than 2 hours is more important than other records. The unit of "hour" is arbitrary, if the day had been divided in 20 hours instead of 24, times would be under 2 hours since long ago. And the distance of a marathon is alao arbitrary.
Who cares if it’s arbitrary 😂 it’s still cool to go faster and break records. Goal was sub 2hr 1min until it was broken. Then it will be 1hr 59min after it’s broken. We just so happen to be at a big milestone hour mark
Amazing content, hope to see you do a video on combat sports soon. Just recently found this channel and I must say it is really informative and gives a new perspective into sports and sports performance.
