This is your best video yet. It hits home for me. I always drank clear diet sodas. This past summer I stopped. I started drinking Arizona diet green tea with gensing in it. I have lost 60 pounds. That's the only change I've made. I still drank a soda now and then. And I never drank coffee. But can you believe I lost 60 pound's. I just stepped soda. Nothing else. btw, Becky you look great. I always thought you were hot. But you look healthy and as though you feel up beat and better. Thanks for the videos. God Bless You.

Thomas Tommy Please check the ingredients in any diet drink. Artificial sweeteners are deadly and addictive. Read up on no or low cal natural sweeteners (agave, honey, stevia and, my fave, xylitol). There are so many alternatives that will not harm you. Just check them out. Blessings!

Good advice Becky. It's also important to remind your viewers that water needs to be drunk on an empty stomach or else it will interfere with digestion. It is also important not to go to bed on a full stomach or the food in the stomach will putrify and cause toxins in the body. In regards to ketchup, there are organic brands that do no have refined sugar in them. Love your vlog. It is such an encouragement to our family. Thanks for staying with it. Good success to you. :-)

Hi Becky. You have been such an inspiration to me as a woman. Unfortunately, I cant seem to control the love for sugar and fat and I so needed this push as I have been feeling easily exhausted but you've hit the nail on the head on every count Now I have to do something about it. You remind me that I can have control over my life situations, there is always a way if I really really want it and I really really want it now. I find your homestead videos so encouraging too and have helped me in my preparation to move back to the island of Samoa in a big way, which will be very soon, God will it. I currently live in NZ urban since childhood so this will be very different, but I'm yearning for it, its in my blood I think. I visualise myself doing things I like, having chickens and eggs, pigs, grow veges and fruits, have donkeys, making jams and a simple house. I know the climate will be different to yours and the culture, because it will be in the tropics but the principles for successful homestead living is right there in your videos, its the same. I just need to get there and look for the right piece of land as you already given me ideas about that on one of your videos.Thank you ever so much Becky. I would love to invite you over once I'm established. Pray God I will a successful homesteader too. So I will write you again, You look really good too Becky, thanks for the encouraging videos. Becky, I've been watching your videos, now & then, for the past 6 months. THIS one is my absolute favorite so far... because of the way you handle your suggestions. I've been doing this same thing - making gradual, positive changes in my diet, not because I need to lose weight (I'm actually slightly underweight), but to gain better health. This makes SO much more sense than the usual "binge diets" people tend to try, or making sudden, radical changes in their diet... Thanks for your great videos; keep up the good work! :)

Thank you Becky! Here's some advice from personal experience for those with special challenges. I have chronic fatigue syndrome, so getting motivated to do anything can take an act of congress most days. My diet is usually much like what you suggested and I'm not overweight or have any health problems. What works for me is to just get up and put on clothes for working out, even if I don't do it right away. That way I at least made a step toward getting active. If I'm still feeling sluggish, I tell myself that I will just go walk for 5 minutes. Invariably, that 5 minutes turns into a half hour or more because I feel good when I actually get active and I have fun and feel like doing more without pushing myself. On my good days, I can ride my bike 25 miles at an average pace of 12 mph! On the very challenging days, I have to learn to just forgive myself and not be critical. On those days, I settle for splashing cold water on my face and doing some light calisthenics indoors.

i use to be one of those people that always said "water is nasty, I hate water". Actually it sounds silly to me to think about it now haha. But i just forced myself to drink a couple big bottles a day, and at first it felt like torture drinking it. but after a few days to a week, I started craving water and felt like I wasnt getting enough. My skin cleared up, and I felt alot better. Just drink water! :)

Hello Becky, I love all your videos but this has been one of my favorites (that or the videos about raising chickens). I'm a nursing student and I find myself saying "I'm tired" not even a quarter through my day. Watching your video reminded me oh no duh! I knew all this stuff from nutrition and A&P 101! Back to the basics! Thank you so much for the reminder to live simply is to live healthy.

This is the third video of yours I have watched. I find it most interesting because I have just started reading a juice book covering a 10 day jump start on a new life of eating. The author and you are explaining the reason for the change and tips on what to change. You Rock Girl!The first two videos were you showing your homestead. The change to your videos are the difference between day and night. First you look amazing in this video. The first one you looked unwell. I live in Texas and wish we were neighbors.Every of thing of substance in my growing up years that I have learned, was almost exclusively from a woman. Watching you in these videos I am still learning things of substance. This is preserving the continuity women in my education . Women "Rock".

It took me 3 months to get over my sugar addiction. Every time I craved sugar I ate a piece of pizza. The pizza helped me psychogicaly that it was ok to let it go. Now that I broke the addiction I don't eat pizza often and now I'm working off the pizza weight gain. It was worth the weight.

Thank you, Becky, for this video. I, especially, liked the "no added sugar" part. I know I don't have to tell you, but in case someone doesn't know, natural sugars in fruits and vegetables and even meats, when eaten in moderation, are good for you. Like you, Becky, I've discovered I don't really like a lot of foods I used to love, (ketchup) simply because it wasn't the food I liked, although I do like food :), it was the added sugar in the food. Keep doing what you're doing, you look and sound great!

I really enjoyed this video. I have done low carb so many times in the past and it always made me feel my best, but I would go off plan and then stay off plan and end up gaining it all back. You're so right on about sugar. Sugar manufacturers have brainwashed people into thinking it's a normal thing to eat it...like a perfectly fine thing to consume. The addiction is real, and powerful, as you said...so much so, most people will not even contemplate removing it from their diet. Good video, I hope you've changed some minds.

Good wise advice (stick with this FOREVER, not 3 weeks)! If water tastes weird you can always get a jug with a water filter, does wonders and filters out lime scale. Or, you can use a bit of sliced lemon and fresh mint in the water you pour in you glass. Best of luck.

Excellent advice!! I did a no grain, no sugar diet for 30 days and lost 30 pounds! I allowed myself a small amount of fruit trying to keep those carbs to 60 grams and the weight just melted off and a LOT of the inflammation of arthritis was GONE! Even the knuckles of my hands were getting to look more normal! Best advice ever! And you love wonderful! Love your energy!!

Try this: Consume 500 calories for breakfast, 500 for lunch and 500 for dinner. You will 1. lose weight 2. feel full unless you are active 3. feel energized. Too much food (Which most people eat) will make you very tired every time. Especially fatty foods make you tired. Most people overeat on their lunch, because typical full sized meal is around 1000 calories.

We are in a position financially, where we felt hopeless in attaining our dream of buying land and building our own simple home. OMG, you are SO RIGHT about thinking you are craving some food when really it's the sugar or carbs in it. Also watch out for high-fructose corn syrup. That stuff has TRIPLE the blood glucose/insulin spike as regular sugar! It's really bad for you, which is why sodas are so bad. Instead of sodas, drink "sweet tea" (green tea is best for weight loss and it is super thirst quenching when it's cold and it is lower in caffeine than black tea) sweetened with xylitol. That worked for me. I just make sure I always have some cold in the fridge so I am not tempted to go get a coke. Also, one thing I found helps when you are craving sugar, like ice cream, is get a bowl of strawberries cut in quarters and pour some heavy whipping cream over them. It is so delicious and the strawberries have a ton of Vitamin C which is good for your immune system. And the whipping cream does not have any sugar and the healthy fat will satiate you so you will feel full and satisfied. AND I eat 2 squares of dark chocolate (at least 72%) which goes great with the strawberries. That is really good for you and has a lot of magnesium. I love that "dessert" and no longer keep cookies or ice cream in the house!

You are soooo right. I'm also addicted to sugar and have been fighting with my weight always, but keep trying. I also was one who said that hate water, but once you start to do it your body get so well, your skin, your metabolism, everything and after a while your body just ask for that. Exactly, it works. Dont eat too much carbs, rather eat more protein, veggies and fruit. For those who do not know where to find carbs you want to avoid - carbs can be found in potatoes, chips, french fries, pastry, bread, rice, cookies, wafles and such. So it is better not to eat too much of these... And if you have problems drinking water, then add a couple of slices of cucumber, some mint leaves and/or lemon juice and believe me: It tastes awsome! Absolutely delicious and fresh tasting beverage. Before I tried to make this drink myself, I didnt believe it could taste good. But then I gave it a try and now I dont want to drink anything else. It is so yummy! Even my children love the taste and have increased water intake.

Superfoods such as chlorella have chlorophyll. This is the energy source for mitochondria (powerhouse of the cell). Thus, chlorella is best for feeding the energy source. Also makes u feel full and has every nutrient known to man, including huge amts of Omega 3&9...

Oh I love the idea of snack vegetables with a bit of vinegar on them as finger food. It should work for me because I eat out of boredom, or sometimes when Im tired I snack instead of napping and also I eat when I'm upset, frustrated or angry to comfort myself.

I want to thank you for dong this video. I'm a very heavy sugar addict and it's very difficult to get off. I am now pre-diabetic and everything you've spoken about is exactly what my doctor has told me to do. I really envy you, especially making your own cabin and animal pens. I would love to have fresh produce and eggs. I wish I could do the homesteading thing, but I also have severe back and neck vertebrae issues which prevent me. I guess I'll just have to live my homesteading fantasy through your channel!

You are correct Becky, this has always been the best way to eat! Protein and veggies. Lots of moving around and drinking water. Great nights sleep and less stress. Good to go!!

Becky, you look like you lost a lot of weight. you look great! Keep up the great work:) and you are so right about the sugar! I think you figured out that some people are addicted to sugar just like drugs. The weight will just fall off if you reset your hormones without that sugar. Sugar gunks up your hormone receptors. It takes 28 days to get off the sugar.
