Definitely pin the crank and an idler or tensioner would be nice closer to the blower. I think vmp makes a kit for the gt500s or coyotes to keep it tighter on the blower pulley. And they use those griptech pulleys on the blowers

Well,,,,, I welded the damper to the crankshaft. But I will look at the vmp stuff.

With. Blower car you want as big of a throttle body as you can.. Also aside from checking for belt slip, there should be a bypass inside the blower, it might need checking (not an expert on blowers).. If this exact setup has seen 12 psi then something mechanical is wrong. You really need to hook that intercooler up.. youre leaving a lot of power on the table and risking detonation.

Bigger throttle body is bought but I need to make more adapters. I don't see any visual signs of rubber from the belt slipping but I'm definitely not ruling it out. I'm going to look a the bypass valve tomorrow night and make sure it's functioning correctly. Think I can get away with wiring it shut while at the track? Intercooler parts are here but I don't have time to get it all done before Friday night but I agree with you 100 percent.

Is that twin 58 mm blades or the whole tb amounts to 58 mm? The turbo Regal I just got has a stock throttle body and I think it's called 56 or 57 mm, and I see whatever boost I have the gate adjusted for all the way to the top. Blowing through it with a turbo might be different than drawing through it with a blower though, and I'm about 100 cubic inches shy of the 5.3. I'd think you would see scuffing on the crank snout if it was spinning if you pulled the balancer.

I believe it's twin 58. I actually found the crank bolt backed out. I tried to tighten it but it starting pulling threads so I took the bolt out, welded the damper to the crankshaft, and put the bolt back in. Didn't help lol. Now I'm' looking at bypass valve problems but I won't get the chance to look at it again until later this week.
