Tv show was made for low intelligence peasants so no surprise they like it.

And I want to say "have fun with it if its your cup of tea" like ot was the case with 3, 4 and 76, but I can't because is makes me sad and angry that we wouldn't see any continuation of the propper NCR story that started at fallout 1 and continued in 2 and new vegas, because of my selfish desire to experience another game or show or whatever that deals with it because the show murdered any possible way to continue it. I truly hate the show and that it successful as it is.

and what pisses me off ab this is all of the brain dead fallout fans in the comments are hating on new vegas fans because nv fans value a good story above all. the truth is we hate to see the franchise dumbed down for the masses to only power armor and nuka cola and a forever wasteland

not to mention the show essentially makes all of your gameplay experiences in 1, 2 and NV pointless from a story perspective. you go at the last episode and you see a destroyed new vegas which means all of the good world building and characters from that game are gonna be pointless too.

Plus NCR was rapidly expanding east, since the Shady Sands billboard described it as their "first capital" I believe they moved most of their forces to Nevada

Like people forget how many god danm hoops you have to jump through just make the NCR even ready for the 2nd battle. Like there a reason everyone from House to major NCR officials are saying a Legion victory is going to happen.

@@aaronlaughter6471 I agree NCR was always a pain to keep functioning with the high levels of corruption they faced. any good ending with them always had caveats. Dunno if you played the DUST mod but that's always how I believed new vegas and its surrounding areas would end up and it kinda looks like the show confirms that.

They only suggested vault tec could drop nukes to ensure vaults are sold. Doesnt mean that is what happened. There are so many details tons of people missed probably due to low attention spans. People complained about how the ghoul was able to kill a bunch of bos but he struggled with his fight with maximus. The reason is subtle and pointed out early on. When maximus asked knight titus why he went with the tempered lining. Turns out the tempered lining fixed the flaw that the ghoul knew existed in the power armor 👍 absolutely love these details

@@djspit8929 Reading for comprehension isn't your strong suit, is it? Or is it math? 2277 is a smaller number than 2281. In terms of years, that means 2277 happens first, then 2281 happens. Shady Sands falls in 2277, but they're still sending supplies and equipment to Camp McCarran in 2281 in New Vegas.

Buddy one small city that was the former capital does not mean the whole ncr is gone, they are saving it for season 2. Why does every fan want the show to blow its load in 8 eps man like they are clearly saving the best for last. Also did u not see how far the brotherhood has fallen, look at Knight Titus ego tripping and then running away from yaoguai like a coward, showrunners are not glorifying this chapter of the brotherhood that's for sure

Why is there little to no talk of them? Why is there not even talk of the Legion? Bethesda might not have retconned New Vegas but they made sure that only their favourite factions are on the west coast in the future. It might make sense lore wise but its still a cheap way to get rid of the stuff someone more competent created. The NCR is dead or a small group, the Legion isnt mentioned, New Vegas is a ruin...

California is big as well. Bethesda is changing lore to delete Fallout 1/2 and NV legacy and replace it with their goofy vision. Brotherhood went from a small covert organization to a paramilitary militia with unlimited human resources and millions of power armors. The Fallout series is virulent mush as you are looking for undemanding entertainment but are looking for a compelling story then you can skip it.

They said it's not an adaptation of any of the games. It's still very much connected to the world that's been portrayed through each game though. The timeline of each game fits in with the show, people are just upset because they didn't understand a plot point that was kind of explained poorly in the show. Definitely is connected very heavily with at least Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas, just doesn't take place anywhere near those games.

@@martygra5035gets a little confusing as well when they change the timeline, not capital has been nuked, war started by the vaults, 4 years before new vegas where kimbal flys from the very much undestroyed capital, brotherhood have moved on past the war at hoover damn before the war has started and they have the prdywin but it was only just finished in time for the institute which means either that’s happened and the brotherhood have won this fight before they were on the east coast or something, no clue where the upper leadership are like kells, none of the weaponry used by the brotherhood in the show is what they use, should be laser rifles, energy weapons, Gauss rifles, mini guns, etc. don’t get me wrong I like the look but braveheart is more true to source material than this show. It’s why most folks are annoyed before even looking at the stupid things in show. Some works great but others not so much. I can honestly say the best part of the whole series is maximus trying to pull his squire out of the gulpers mouth, that there is peak fallout humour and reality in one. Sadly most the characters are also poor with behaviours that’s follow no consistent theme as they often change from scene to scene. It’s a mess. People will watch it but sheep watch trash and applaud, critical thinkers are often ridiculed for highlighting things or discoveries, history is littered with examples.

Plenty of people hold Netflix directly responsible for whenever they fund and host a new live action anime show but, I agree with you that Amazon had nothing to do with the actual creative choices of the show runners.

Cyberpunk, The Witcher, that LoL show, Gran Turismo, etc... Seems kind of silly to even blame the streaming service for the mistakes of the production crew, unless someone from the streaming service is a critical part of the production.

I’m an NV fan and the show didn’t sit right with me when they destroyed the ncr, destroyed shady sands, brought back the enclave that got destroyed at the oil rig like 100 years before, and vegas for no reason besides making fallout a wasteland again. I’m not tryna be toxic, I just value world building over pleasing an aesthetic and rendering my playthroughs of nv and the classics pointless because nothing mattered

Play fallout 2 if that’s what you wanna do. Both are great games, But with them being so dated they are a major pain to play imo. I decided to try playing them back to back. I couldn’t do it. I beat fallout 1, and as soon as I got to two is was like “Ooohhh noooo not this **** again” 😂

Bro, It is clearly written on the board that Shandy Sands is the FIRST capital. Secondly, you have the wells and obelisk in the flashback, so it's the same place as in Fallout 1/2 only that they retconned its locations.

Not really. I don't like the very idea that games like Fallout can be televised. I've been a Fallout fan since the first game (yeah I'm that old), but these are totally different media and Fallout (especially old games) cannot be really transferred to television without looking siIIy. For example I can accept 'ghouls' in game universe, but seeing this dude without a nose is just cringe. I guess Marvel-generation is trained to accept every bs...

As a member of the second group, I will say that I don't care. In other media, they would focus on the fact that one of the main characters is black, and the woman would be made Mary Sue. However, they were done well in the series, and I liked all the characters (I did not hate any character in the series, and this is difficult to achieve)

@@alexandermccabe556 Personally, vast majority of people outright hating the show have unfortunately been New Vegas fans. And like 50% of the time their main point is the time inconsistency, which is a relatively minor problem in the grand scheme of things. I can see some faults in the show, but overall as a far as a TV show goes it's really good. You cannot tell a full fallout story in just 8 episodes, this so far has felt like maybe a few quests in the main story + sides quests, and we have still have a lot of context missing, but many seem to take that at face value.

Played f4 ,new Vegas sucks for me , thaught it was a great show

Fallout fan since 1997 when my big brother bought it. Played all fallout games many times and this show fucking rocks! Only few things that bothers me but not much. Acting is amazing for most parts
