Trudat! But People have been fooled by what’s going on this year with the Seahawks. They look much better than expected, but they are still ostensibly a 5-4 team with a 6-3 record. Further, Shane Waldron is the reason that team is doing as well as it is, and for all of his “resistance” Russ would have that team at 8-1 or 9-0. Geno is doing well, and I’m proud of him. Hackett is doing a great imitation of Pete Carroll actually. @@Isaiah-FA3 what situation? Tampa? Okay. That was a good situation but he absolutely made the most of it. He didn't just win a playoff game or 2 he won the freaking Superbowl beating 3 teams on the road, scoring 31 points per game, going through Drew Brees Aaron Rodgers and capping it off with a home Superbowl beating a Patrick Mahomes lead KC team at age 43 with a 125 rating. Did it with no off-season or anything first year too. NE? If you mean this we are talking about a team that was 5-13 with Pro Bowler Drew Bledsoe. It was a horrible situation to be thrown into with a ton of pressure. The dude won Superbowl MVP for 2 different franchises that were a losing franchise dating back years and he did it both times as a first year starter. That's not a coincidence. His former team, my team i might add, hasn't done anything impressive since his departure nor years before he got there. Bill is a great DEFENSIVE coach but he sucks as a offensive GM and I can promise you he won't win another Superbowl without a ELITE QB with either a ton of talent or really high IQ to cover up the warts of a lack of talent and coaching on offense. Could Bill have won some with Peyton Manning or something yeah maybe but that's a hypothetical not to mention Peyton absolutely DID NOT have Brady's clutch gene in the playoffs. Peyton Manning is a horrible playoff QB and his performances and stats back up this fact. So maybe we don't win any with him. The only year he won Superbowl MVP he threw 7 interceptions to 3 TD'S throughout those playoffs. Tom Brady has NEVER been carried like that and Peyton's Denver year he was carried even more. I'm not so sure even the Belichick defense could overcome that kind of horrible QB play. Something people overlook is in his time in NE the GM only put talent on the defensive side of the ball. Gronk was a fluke taken in the 3rd round and always hurt too. Despite all the talent going to the defensive side of the ball the offense with Tom Brady on average ranks higher than the defensive side. This is a fact people can't get their head around but its 100% true. That's right. In the 18 starting seasons by Brady on average the OFFENSE ranks higher than the defense.
@JamesSavik
@JamesSavik Год назад
As a Saints fan, we went through this with Drew Brees. After we paid Brees, we couldn't afford to keep receivers like Jimmy Graham or Brandin Cooks. This is the curse of having a high-dollar QB: you've got a QB that can be competitive, but is the rest of your team strong enough to be competitive? As for the Saints, Brees ran up insane numbers, but it took years to build enough defense to make the team competitive enough for a wild card or divisional playoff spots. By then, Brees arm was no longer competitive.

And them just denying any legit excuses and chalking it up to him just sucking a being a major bust. I mean how the hell do you expect a young QB to thrive when you have the worst pass protection in the league the worst run game in the league and his WR ranking dead last in separation his first two seasons. Add in the fact that he had terrible offensive coaching and a head coach who wanted nothing to do with him. Yet when you finally give him a solid O-Line, the threat of a competent run game, WR that can get open and a HC who believes in him and schemes up a great offense. And low and behold he's playing at arguably a MVP level this season. Basically top 5 in every area besides yards and that's only due to missing 2.5 games. Yet only guys willing to give Tua the benefit of the doubt were guys like Dan Orlvosky, Warner and a few other former players and QB's. Meanwhile you have an idiot like Collin Cowherd still talking shit about Tua when it's even dumber you can clearly tell he isn't actually watching his games. Also, I hope that the Packers double down on their investment in Rodgers in the coming off-season by not using their rare good draft position to pick a potential new franchise QB in what should be a draft loaded with great QB prospects.

Thank the Broncos also for passing on Fields when they had the opportunity to draft him. To add insult to injury the fifth round pick they gave to the Seahawks this year went to get Tariq Woolen, who's no Surtain yet, but is one hell of a substitute.

@@Tony__Tone Oh, we saw a lot of that in Chicago under Ryan Pace. The awful trade-up for Trubisky ended with the Saints getting the pick that turned into Alvin Kamara and the Niners pick turning into Fred Warner. My abridged version of why I think these QBs are declining. Obviously, my 2 cents, so take it as you will. TB12: Father Time is finally collecting his due. Wilson: A combination of "stop caring" after a payday, and coaching. Rodgers: Definitely pettiness (Rodgers can be notoriously petty if he didn't get his way) after Adams got traded away, so Rodgers didn't want to mesh with this new receiving corps. Stafford: Wear and tear from the Rams' Super Bowl run, considering he had prior injuries and not a lot of time to rest up.

Brady has played fine this season his wide outs have played awful . They have 3x as many dropped balls as any other team , and 80% of those drops have been in the red zone . They also don’t have a running game whatsoever the dude can’t throw the ball and catch it too. He threw 3 tds and 400 yards against the chiefs and has the second most passing yards this season while only having thrown one interception the entire season . The other three have been awful but Brady has absolutely not been .

When the Bucs won their super bowl they had their core team in place at the right time, conversely last year they started losing key players as they neared the playoffs. Sure in GB injuries are an issue, but A A Ron is the reason they couldn't afford to keep the pieces that kept them relevant. At this stage in his NE career Brady was taking team friendly deals to keep winning rings. A A Ron has never done anything detrimental to himself to help the team win. Winning another ring isn't as important to him as making money. I'm not saying that I would make a different choice, I'm only saying that's the choice he's consistently made. The management of the team has also consistently made baffling choices in the draft and free agency by not doing much to help the team win either. GB should have traded A A Ron awhile ago. He was and is clearly not going to get it done and they could have at least gotten draft picks out of him. Rams sold their soul to get the ring last year and now the bill is coming due. As a 9er fan, I've watched a lot of Russ, he was never HoF good, just really really lucky at the worst times for the other team. Brady's issue might just be the team around him. Taking that week of practice off to go to a trophy wife wedding doesn't help, but he's actually performing decently.

Seeing how was coming back from a potential career ending injury in college. And in his first two seasons he had the worst O-Line in football protecting him had the worst run game in football. And his WR ranked dead last in getting separation. Pair that with having terrible offensive scheme and play calling then how do you expect a young QB to thrive. Those 4 guys are great, but time is passing them by. its a new era. the era of dual threat is here, the new gen like Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, and Burrow are all gunslingers with some mobility. that actually helps supplement their run game and keep defenses honest. But dudes like Lamar, Hurts, Fields, and ehhh Kyler are thriving because of the full dual threat capability they provide their offenses. this next generation of QB is hyper athletic compared to the old days. I fuck with it because these dudes are entertaining to watch what they can do with a football in their hands. This could be Brady and Rodgers final year, definitely Matt Ryans final year unless he wants to backup for a while. Russ and Stafford could be out the league within 3 years, no BS. it pays to be young in this league, Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Hendon Hooker, they all look next up, shit even Bo Nix could be 3rd rounder next draft. It's weird to see it but the younger generation has finally took over the league, its happening the same way in the NBA. Lebron, KD, Russ, and Klay, it looks bad because its clear the younger generation is taking over. It's Giannis' league, Steph's League, Tatum and Jokic and Embiid are all here beginning their prime years.
