Has anyone ever talked to you about this? What are your thoughts? I find that this is not commonly discussed in modern medicine by is a huge component to treating someone as a whole.

I have learned over time that there is a strong mind / body connection, that pain begins in the mind - look at people who do super human feats during emergencies and don’t feel any pain while focused on other things and the crises is averted. Sleep is also key, I notice a lot more pain when I don’t get enough sleep. But unfortunately, there still is real life pain when I have good attention to mind / body as I still have injury and the pain is helping me not become more injured. Hopefully some day I can ride a bike again, or be able to stand and walk without any pain.

The great thing about this is that you can start working on this on your own. Meditation, mindfulness, breath work, etc. it takes work but when you find what works for you. It’s much better than what modern medicine can offer.
