Why Cambodia For Me Stacks Up To Be a Better Option To Live Than Thailand
I've lived in Cambodia for 2.5 years and I love it. It's the MOST easy-going and free country I've ever lived in.
It's a small country but it has everything that Thailand offers too, with a few big differences:
"Cheap residency visas"
"Cheaper living costs in Cambodia"
"Cambodia has super friendly people"
"Cambodia opens it's arms to foreigners"
"Cambodian government wants foreigners to live and work in Cambodia"
Those are a handful of excellent and practical reasons I choose to live in Cambodia over "red tape" Thailand.

Gotta agree about Cambodia being better than Thailand for a western expat, the language barrier that exists in Thailand & is absent in Cambodia is a big one for me, & because of this a person can get nearer to the people & form a more informed opinion about the country!

I'm loving Phnom Penh ill be there next month. It is more expensive than Thailand in Phnom Penh but i believe the rest of the country is much cheaper. Work permits in thailand are a nightnare and very expensive. So yeah i have been comparing both for a few mobths now.

Thanks for your message. Well, that's not quite true. PP can be 20 to 30% more expensive than the rest of Cambodia in terms of bars, restaurants, cafes, and hotels. But, PP is definitely cheaper than Bangkok. Yes, the fact that visa and work permits are so cheap east to obtain in Cambodia maks it a win-win for me. I've been living all over Cambodia for 2.5 years so I have a pretty good idea. It's funny though that PP's prices have risen considerably since last year.

@@robshealthcrunch G'day mate , Gotta agree with you P/P can be a little more expensive but if your prepared to look around and explore you will find many a great place to eat sleep and enjoy at a good price , no problem with visa's unlike the Thai ! visa jumping through hoops with many conditions , Thailand is only a holiday place for me , Cambodia is my home now ...😀😉 Catchya ...

Electricity is much more expensive in Cambodia than Thailand! Health care much more limited. I had a motorbike accident, got treated by doctors, they all told me to go to Thailand! I do love Cambodia too, especially Kampot. Just given my personal experiences.

@robshealthcrunch 26 дней назад
@@roygoad2870 yes, health care is still a problem here. I don’t think electricity is more expensive according to my experience in both countries. Cambodia has a long way to go, for sure. But considering what happened with the KR the government has done a good job to rebuild the country, and the people are so nice.

You don’t know about Khmer Empire Civilization and please stop your mental hatred issues. Sihanoukville was known before the Genocide a gems spa retreat for our Khmer king named Norodom Sihanouk. That’s what the name Sihanoukville came from. Sihanoukville was a beautiful and green landscape full of natural and minerals resources until the modern day Chinese investors invested and brought up all their criminalities activities as gambling, skamming people online and others criminals issues to contaminated our beloved native natural resources. Be a man and be a people who stand for moral and a man with integrities over hatred and blind side by your ignorance of prejudices .
