Why'd they store so many DESIGNER PURSES in this storage locker? I bought it at auction for $1,800.

The serial number for gucci purses is underneath that leather gucci tag inside the bag on the underside. Wallets are visible at the top of a pocket. Will always state where they were made. Louis vuitton has date codes that correspond to the place they were made like CA0098 (CA is spain and was made in the 9th week of 2008) fakes have date code too. Best to get them authenticated by someone like proauthenticators. Early louis vuitton bags have 3 number date code and pre 80's had none unless they were made by the french company. If they have eclair zipper pulls those usually do not have date codes.

Another good video! I bought a suitcase at an estate sale for $20. It was filled with designer purses, all in new condition. Though they were well made, they were samples of fakes, knock-offs. A good fake is still worth money to people who want the Beverly Hills look on a swap meet budget. I didn’t want to risk bad feedback or selling status reselling the fake purses on eBay so instead traded the entire suitcase load for a box of antique books. I made a really good profit on the books, ultimately turning my original $20 outcome for $400 income. Obviously very high profit, especially when you consider that the average supermarket only makes about three or 4% profit after all of their costs. By the way, there are websites and RU-vid videos on how to confirm whether a purse is original or fake. Remember, the companies that make fake bags know every detail they need to copy. The fake bag makers also watched the RU-vid videos. They know that if they can fake the little inside tag and a hidden logo stamp that people look for on a bag that it will help to complete their masquerade that people are buying a real one. The last time I went to a big swap meet there were people selling fake Louis Vuitton purses. They were claiming that there are “original factory seconds, smuggled out by factory employees”. That’s ridiculous. Louis Vuitton factories have very high security people how to check their bags when entering and leaving work. LV destroys any seconds. They do that to protect their brand or they will make a marking on a few of the tags and labels so that they cannot be passed off as original, First quality bags. Some of the sellers of fake ones will actually rough the purse up a little bit so it looks slightly used and more authentic. They will even throw a few coins inside, an old package of Kleenex, and maybe a lipstick or a pair of sunglasses. And then they will put a price tag of $300 on it stating that it is a $2000 purse. Even knowledgeable people will fall for this because they figure it’s a really good discount for a real bag. PT Barnum sure was right ha ha! I By the way, the white Louis Vuitton bag with multi-colored logos is known as “fruit salad”. Just a little closing funny story, I was in Southern California recently in line at a supermarket. There was a very rich woman wearing a Rolex and carrying a big Louis Vuitton purse in the line. She bought a fancy bottle of wine and three packages of fancy cheese and paid with a few hundred dollar bills. The woman behind her in line was an immigrant (likely) housekeeper with a nearly identical fake Louis Vuitton bag and a fake Rolex watch. She was buying a cheap 2-liter bottle of soda and a few packages of really cheap cheese and paid for it with a $20 bill. What I found ironic is that both women have achieved the same look : one did it by spending I’m sure many thousands of dollars, the other probably spent $40 for the bag at a swap meet and $20-$40 for the fake watch. I made my food purchase and when I got out to the parking lot I saw the rich woman driving away in a new Range Rover and The other woman was getting into a funky used car that was missing hubcaps and had a few big dents in the bumper. I just thought it was a funny contrast and says a lot about the “perceived value” we put on things in this current culture. Any comments? Thanks again to Locker Nuts for a good tour of your haul. I hope you at least tripled your money.

I had a Louis Vuitton that I paid over $3,000 for. It needs to be authenticated. Some of the copies are really good now.

You can sell the kids clothes for $3-4 and the jackets for $7-10 at least. I think she was a shopping addict (A Keeping Up With The Joneses type). Can't wait to see the shoes. Handbags: #1-LV(non-licensed, made by LV), #2-Burberry(non licensed) and Gucci(licensed-made by another co, #3-D&B (non-licensed), #4-MK (licensed). When a license is estab, they have to follow what's in the contract, ie all leather, signage inside and out, name on buckles and zippers and trademark linings, etc. They are still pricey, but a little less than a non-licensed bag. This was a great video! You did good. Also glad you found the Ugg stuff to go with the big bag-looks really nice! Oh, and by the way 90% of glasses and shades are licensed except for Ray-Ban from what I hear. Can't wait for the next video!

I like when your wife does the clothes and accessories. When storing a purse, it is good practice to stuff tissue paper inside to hold the form. My late mother in law used to wear fake rings/jewelry if she was traveling; when she was in Europe on a tour a fellow traveler refused to give up her ring so the robber CUT OFF her finger. So I do the same as I travel alone driving and don't want to flash anything that could attract unwanted attention.

I would imagine these were probably the lady's travel rings. My mom has a lot of jewlery and when she travels she always wears less expensive replicas. It just makes sense to not travel with her good stuff =) Or if one of their daughters worked in hospitality it's very possible they were their "back story" to prevent unwanted interrest. Lots of girls have fake engagement rings for work.

You NEVER wash your backpacks (or pocketbooks, totes, luggage, etc) in the washing machine, if you want it to maintain it's structure!!! Put them in the bathtub with slightly warm water, some Dawn original dish soap or a little liquid Tide. Don't do it with leather. Also some bags & totes have a bottom piece covered in matching fabric. It is covering cardboard, so always take it out and wipe it down. If really dirty, let them soak-do not wring them out-kind of shake them a bit to get the excess water out. Rinse them real good-about 3 times. Stuff a clean bath towel inside and wrap in another towel and press them with your hands till they're not dripping wet. Most pocketbooks have an attached lining. Make sure to gently pull the lining out, making sure it's still attached (like taking a pocket and pulling it out of the pants so it will dry evenly, then putting it back in again when everything is dry. Put them in natural air (not the dryer) and let them air dry, checking occasionally to reshape if needed. They will look fab!!!

Looks like you scored another great unit. How do you keep your girls away from the purses ?

Louis Vuitton bags (when real) can easily be 1,500 to over 3,000 bucks. The logos seem real to me from what I could tell but they definitely need to be authenticated. The O's in the logo stamp inside the bag saying "LOUIS VUITTON" should look wider/larger than the rest of the font. If they're slimmer and look similar to the rest of the font, it's fake. The "L" should have a short tail. Also, the "i" and two "t's" should be really close to one another to the point that the T's are connected and the "i" almost looks connected to them as well. The big tell is if you can find an authentication stamp code in the bag. Look in the liner for a small leather piece sewn in with a letter/numeric code. I think there is a website (could be on the Louis Vuitton site) where you can type the code in and it will tell you if the bag is authentic, along with I believe the manufacture date. PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG OR MISSING SOMETHING, this is stuff I learned on my own, but would love feedback if it's incorrect.

The Louis Vuitton bags can be verified at any Louis Vuitton store, same with any of the high end purses, take them to the retail stores to be verified. Most of them looked very fake to me.
