WHY DID BRITAIN SAY 350 PEOPLE DIED WHEN IT WAS 1000+? | Jallianwala Bagh Memorial park
Jallianwala Bagh (जलियांवाला बाग) is a public garden in Amritsar in the Punjab state of India, and houses a memorial of national importance, established in 1951 by the Government of India, to commemorate the massacre of peaceful celebrators including unarmed women and children by British occupying forces, on the occasion of the Punjabi New Year on April 13, 1919 in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.

We are Eleise and Lawrence & Nyh - A young family from the south of England. Like many people the pandemic gave us a shake up! While watching hours of Mark Weins in Thailand - We had our “Ah ha” Moment. We decided we wanted to travel.
Enjoying working for ourselves, we didn’t want to give up our business and decided it was entirely possible for us to do both. So we set about making it our lifestyle to work in the UK for a month, and then travel for a month - month on, month off…. until our little boy Nyh goes to school! We want to inspire people that you don’t have to up-sticks, sell all your belongings and leave behind family to be able to see the world.
Our Philosophy. Work, Travel, Repeat.

This was unquestionably the most emotional experience of our travels so far... The anger & frustration ME & ELEISE felt towards some of our own British people when we walked around the park was massively overshadowed by the Indian people's understanding, compassion & overall heartfelt acceptance. You really are a class act India. Thank you again 🇮🇳 🖤🖤🖤

Yes, did you know that Indians were killed by Indians only (i.e. those serving in the British Indian Army). Here's something more that will burn your mind and skin - these Indian soldiers who killed other Indians continued to receive government pensions after 1947 till their death. In any other country, they would have been tried from war crimes (and in Independent India they were given pensions).

How can you blame Winston Churchill policies for cause of India Bengal famine when Winston Churchill did not become prime Minister until 1940 and Bengal was ruled by Indians mostly Hindus ruling Muslims, not British? Most of Indian Bengal government between 1935 and 1940 were Indians mostly Hindus ruling Muslims. Most of Indian Bengal government between 1940 and 1945 during India Bengal famine were Indians mostly Hindus ruling Muslims. .Blaming the Indian Bengal government for the mismanagement of the Indian Bengal famine of 1943, it's important to note that the government was democratically elected in 1940 by Indians, and there were 175 Hindus, 65 Muslims, and 10 scheduled caste elected officials. However, the Krishak Praja Party, a Hindu-majority party, in power in Bengal, had discriminatory policies towards Muslims, who made up a significant portion of Bengal's population, and this worsened the famine's impact on the Muslim population. The Government of India Act 1935 decentralized the administration of food and agriculture to the provincial governments, including Bengal. Natural disasters such as crop disease and cyclones had severely affected Bengal's food production. Additionally, the Japanese Empire occupied Burma/Myanmar, which had historically supplied rice to British India during famines, further reducing the food supply in Bengal. While the British Empire also played a significant role in the crisis, such as losing ships to German and Japanese submarines, making it difficult to transport supplies to India, and news of the fall of Burma leading to other Indian provinces refusing to help Bengal, it's important to acknowledge the role of the Indian Bengal government in mismanaging the crisis. As per the Government of India Act 1935, food and agriculture were provincial issues and Bengal was run by the Krishak Praja Party. Additionally, Marwari traders hoarded grain, exacerbating the food shortage. Canadian Prime Minister McKenzie King offered to send grain to Bengal, but British Prime Minister Winston Churchill preferred that grain be shipped from Australia, which was ordered to send 444,000 tons of wheat in the middle of a World War. Churchill also wrote to American President Roosevelt for shipping support for grain, but Roosevelt, who was pressing Britain to grant independence to India, refused to help due to his belief that the complete destruction of Germany and Japan was a more pressing priority than helping with the famine. In conclusion, the Bengal famine was a complex crisis that involved several factors, including natural disasters, the actions of the British Empire, but most of the the mismanagement of the crisis by the Indian Bengal government and the Indian Bengal government mostly Hindu government officials ruling over Muslims deserves most of the blame not the British. Mismanagement of food resources by India Bengal local governments played the key role in exacerbating this crisis - Marwari traders hoarded grain leading to reduced availability for ordinary people who needed it most; discrimination against Muslims population led them disproportionately suffer even more compared their fellow Hindu peers during this period; and ultimately according to Government of India Act 1935 food & agriculture related decisions were provincial issues so ultimately those mostly Hindus governing Bengal are responsibile for missteps or intentional neglect regarding handling such matters effectively.

this is not the only massacre done by British on India. between 100 million to 200 million people died in British induced famines over the years in India. there was an untold holocaust which caused the deaths of almost 10 million people over 10 years beginning in 1857, after the first independence movement of India. at least 100k people were killed in Delhi. total population including small children of many small towns and villages which took part in the movement were eliminated. many forests were completely burnt including tribal people inside it. unfortunately Brits were the ones who have written Indian history. so these things are very much hidden.

The movie Sardar Udham is based on the real life story of Udham Singh, an Indian revolutionary who assassinated Michael O'Dwyer in 1940 in revenge for the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The movie takes some creative liberties with the story, such as adding a fictional romance between Udham and a British woman, but overall it is a faithful retelling of the real story. However, some viewers have noted that the film fails to accurately portray the full scope of Singh's revolutionary activities and fails to provide any meaningful context for his actions. The film also fails to accurately portray the massacre at Jallianwala Bagh and its aftermath, leaving the viewer with a highly sanitized and inaccurate version of history.
@donkeydesiamericanprofessor
Sarar Valabh Bhai Patel wrote in a letter to Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy of India, that "the Jallianwala Bagh massacre was not the doing of the British but of the Indian soldiers." He went on to say that "the responsibility for the massacre lies entirely with the Indian soldiers who fired on the crowd." Patel also wrote in the same letter that "the Indian civilians were killed by the Indian soldiers due to the lack of proper orders, discipline and control."

LOL if you think Jallianwala bagh was the only British massacre in India. 1. On November 17, 1913, the British gunned down more than 1,500 unarmed Bhils including women and children on Mangadh Hill, on the border between Rajasthan and Gujarat. They were shot by machine gun fire for protesting against "Unpaid forced labour" a.k.a Slavery. 2. On March 7, 1922,British officer, Major H.G. Sutton, fired on a large gathering of peaceful tribas at Palchitaria. Reportedly, 1,200 people were killed in cold blood. 3. On 25 April 1939 300 farmers were shot dead by British in Odisha for peaceful protest 4. Perungamanallur killings, which took place on April 3, 1920 where british declared an entire tribe of Indians as "criminals" (freedom fighters) and shot them in cold blood. This is just a few that immediately comes to mind. There are at least a 100 more. Not to mention the 3 Million Indians killed by Starvation in just Bengal by diverting grains to england to be stored as "buffer stock". The kind British ran "Labour camp" to "help" feed starving Indians. After 8 hours of hard labour, they were given 4 Ounces of grains (400 calories) to feed their family. Compare that to "concentration camps" for the Jews run by Nazi's that gave the inmates 1000 to 15000 calories per day. "Shame" is not something one associates with the British. I am sure you will get over your temporary distress in no time.

No, General O'Dwyer was not present when his soldiers fired on civilians at Jallianwala Bagh. However, he did take full responsibility for the action in his testimony and described it as a "deep regret". The majority of the soldiers present at Jallianwala Bagh were Indian, with approximately 400-600 Indian troops and 40-50 British personnel in attendance when the order to fire was given. But there are youtube videos and documentary records which proves that British Army, apart from many gruesome atrocities, tied people on canon's mouth and exploded. There are youtube videos on this. You may check. The unarmed satyagrahis were beaten with lathis and right on the head. They took the blows just because it was the order of Gandhiji.
