Some of these parents seem like pushovers. "I didn't let the abused boy stay at my house cause then my son would want to stay at his house!" Okay... Just tell your son 'No, he can only come over, you can't go there.' You are still the parent. Same with the one that wanted to go to her friends house but the parents couldn't tell her why she couldn't. There's no reason you can't tell a child "they smoke, honey, and if they do it around you, you can get sick so you can't go.'

The story about the little girl with alopecia broke my heart. To be spoken to that cruelly by an adult it sickening. Sadly, there's no cure for stupidity. I bet that "mother" is one of part of the anti-vax crowd, too.

I made sure none of the other kids ever came to my house. It was always so dirty, I just felt so embarrassed by it and my mothers ex husband was very abusive. I would try to clean the house but theres only so much you can do at 4-10 years old. I felt awful always staying or visiting my friend's houses but I just couldn't allow my friend's to see the house I lived in. The lasting damage is that now I panic if someone is coming over and I'll try to clean it as much as physically possible. I really don't want my children to ever be embarrassed about their home the way I was

Because the state gets money for each kid in their home. They will willing gly give children back to some parents because it secures their job to keep taking them

The biting back is actually true, we even got told from the kids doc to do, ofc not to draw blood, but well enuff for it to hurt. Did work on my kids when I did it, but the youngest had her phase, she mainly bit dad, and he did try to bite back, but he was so scared to hurt her so it was more like a tickle, so she just laughed at him every time. But I bit back twice and that was enuff for her to stop biting me.

These are terrible compared to what happened to me (I was the "bad influence"). In the late 90, when I was in the fourth grade, the parents of these boys down the street forbade them from playing with me because I came from an anti-Disney Christian household. They even came to my house to argue with my parents about teaching us to be anti-Disney, saying it was a bad practice of Christianity. My parents were anti-Disney because they thought they supported gays and their movies were teaching kids to stray from god, but I was anti-Disney because of what they did to Radio AAHS. There was a bratty girl who lived across the street from that family, and her grandmother forbade her from playing with me after she over heard us talking about the world's oldest religions. I didn't bring up the topic, she did, because she wanted me to admit that her religion was older than mine, thus it was better, but I was neck deep in Ancient Mesopotamian history for school, so I ended up steam rolling her with everything I learned. They were catholic and her grand mother didn't want her knowing there was anything outside of that. They all eventually moved away and I had no one to play with in the neighborhood ever again.

I would absolutely not be letting a 12-year-old spend the night and hang out with my 6 year old. That's completely nuts to me. Those are two very different developmental ages and I would be afraid of what my young child was exposed to or possibly bullied into. When I was nine or 10 I used to watch a 3-year-old who lived in the same apartment complex so she could play outside while her mom was inside with the baby but that is different than us hanging out as peers. Actually I used to watch almost all of the children in my apartment complex because I was a little bit older than them and the parents never watched their children when they were outside playing. But I also grew up taking care of kids younger than me. But more or less babysitting is different than hanging out as friends.

Most kids do NOT have a biting phase! Neither of my kids did, none of their school year kids did either in nursery/kindergarten or school!! It is NOT normal….

Biting the kid back is showing the kid what their doing is hurting others. Some kids don't get it by just talking about it.

I have tried banning my daughter from seeing her abusive and manipulating "friend". The kid has poked her with sewing needles, told her she wishes my kid would die, punched her. We did get the kids parents involved, and the behavior has calmed down but shes still mean to my kid. My daughter claims that's her best friend.... But yeah theres way more to the story, So don't assume we are just letting her get abused by that kid.

CPS is a joke.

I don’t all the details about the release form but it should say who is giving up custody and who accepting custody. If the person who is receiving doesn’t receive the child in question I believe the form can be declared invalid and fought in a court of law. Also the agent who delivered the form could be held responsible for Knowingly applying false information on a government form

I told this one before, but my parents never stopped me from hanging out with _THAT_ friend, but she claims she always didn't like him. Long story short, a year after my family and I moved counties, he was caught raping a young boy

Have not ever heard one story of CPS doing a good job. My bf went trough it and ended up in a much, muchh worse family then his original (the original has drug addicts and pedophiles, so u do the math)

My little 1/2 sister, 9yrs younger, went through the bitting stage. I bit her hard enough to leave marks. She stopped when she realized it hurt. It works!

Your bad luck is it you problem you will not deprive our child of milestones and common interactions for for the rest of your lives because you won't get proper counseling
