Great video! So I had a call from an angry wife who's hubby did not come home the night before. She was certain that he had been cheating and she wanted the locks changed. I really did not want to get in the middle of all this. I told her I expected to be paid at the time of service and told her the price. She said she had no money but her hubby would pay me if I billed them. I told her I would not be able to help her out on this. Her response was that she would talk all over town about how unreliable I am. I told her that was a chance I was going to have to take. How would your customer service people have handled that?
Yeah that’s a tough situation, but your not running a charity and we’re in the emergency service business so everyone is always in tough spots. We can’t help them for free and I wouldn’t trust that he’d pay either. Simple as this.... she called you to help her in a bind for a price, you get there she says she can’t pay you, so then at that point she’s already wasted your time. Then tries to convince you that her angry husband who she’s worried about harming her is going to just pay you to lock him out of his home lol. It sucks the situation she’s in, but that’s normal for our trade, and just like bill collectors get paid to bug people to pay debts they owe and can’t pay, we charge to help people in desperate situations. We don’t take advantage of them bc there in a desperate situation, but we do expect to be paid for our skills, time, and services we offer. So I think you did the right thing, your sacrificing your time to help people and make money and I’m sure you don’t have time to give away. Anyway thx for watching!
