17:20 some of my colleagues (older folks) work for 30 years, 35 years. But again, they are born in year 1950s. In the end of day, it’s about happiness in working and relationship with your boss. Definition of happiness may differ for every individual.

The CNA podcast episode explores the phenomenon of "boomerang employees," individuals who leave a company and later return. Hosts Gerald and Tiffany, both former boomerang employees, share personal experiences and insights, noting that people often return to companies for various reasons, such as familiar environments, improved opportunities, or changes in personal circumstances. Guest Josephine Toa, an HR director, discusses the challenges and benefits of rehiring former employees. She emphasizes the importance of leaving on good terms, as maintaining positive relationships can facilitate re-employment. Toa also highlights the need for clear communication and reintegration plans to ensure returning employees and current staff understand the situation and maintain a positive work environment. The podcast also touches on contract roles, debating whether they are opportunities or traps. It concludes that contract roles can offer flexibility and career exploration but require careful negotiation and relationship-building to transition into permanent positions.

Truth is that Singaporean bosses will not automatically raise the salary and act blur as long as they can, they learn from some countries and all workers are replaceable until someone leaves and create a vacuum in the company that needs 2-3 workers to cover the jobs. In the end, bosses do not have the face to invite the worker back or do not allow the employee to be back as this will lower down their authority in the company……

Wow! Jobs that are rejected by s'poreans are taken up by foreigners. S'poreans are so fortunate because they are very well taken care of by the PAP govt, and they have stable and high-paying jobs at near perfect employment rate. Awesome PAP!❤❤

Jobs that are better paid and many Singaporeans needed it are taken up by foreigners and Singaporean was forced to to change vocation…… Example Construction workers which Singaporeans did better as Singaporean use their brain to work which was mislead by many others that Singaporean cannot work in construction as previously, bosses are stupid as they only see speed but not end results in construction
