Awesome vid.. as a 53 yr old, I agree 100% (mine was a XR 200 RE ) and I loved that bike.. so many adventures but sold it to buy a house.. i always tell my young riding mates , easy to get rid of, hard to get back.. took me another 20yrs to throw a leg over.. now ride a 2019 gasser 300 and I'm probably in the best shape I've ever been..
going on 56 and about to get back on a dirt bike. Rode dirt bikes back in the 80s and 90s but only street bikes these days. Highlights back in the day were a PE250 and later a YZ490. I rode a mates modern KTM450 and was amazed at how far dirt bikes have developed since the 80s. I wanted to get back on one before I'm to old to do it any more. A couple of mates are keen to do some rides together and I'm looking forward to it.
Hey there, thanks for stopping by. I'm 56 myself and definitely agree. All the modern bikes are able to make the rider look like a star if you are willing to put in a little time and effort getting out there often 👍 Our oldest riding buddy is now 71 and rides 3 times a week 🙂 Enjoy getting back into it. Oh... And check out the Sherco range of bikes if you get the chance, good things 👍
