hi!! I want to put down here that no by clc is not in fact about consent and (news flash) I am just a dumbass! I am so sorry to anyone I upset by misunderstanding the meaning of that song. I think I was confused because no oh oh by clc is about consent. major thank you to everyone who corrected me because I really do feel bad about having misinformation in my video and wish that I would have double checked that. thanks so much for watching!! stan clc!!
sunshine bangtan 9:00. BTS catches you by the sound, you watch the video and keep watching... ALL videos and discover that there are several albums with songs without video😭(And then you run after the coded colors Lyrics videos of these songs) Yeeees!I I am a Army that started like that too !!!😊 And the other groups, I was shocked the other day to see the BAP clips. I swore it was a Dorama!
sunshine bangtan 21:29 And he hears those witches who call him fat or out of tune!😡😠😤👿I don't forget how much Jimin shocked me at Wings. Then he said he was sorry to have followed that crazy diet to stay in shape and receive compliments! And that (Thanks to the Heavens) he is no longer obsessed with (being thin). He even unwittingly ends up representing people with eating problems and serving as an example of how to overcome this (listening to friends, appreciating yourself, forgiving yourself for failures and ignoring haters - almost ... He reads the comment and if it's too bad he blocks it)
Marimilia DSL yes so true! jimin is so amazing and I’m glad he has let up on himself a bit. he deserves to be happy and healthy!!! and thank you for watching, I’m really glad that you liked it!! ❤️
sunshine bangtan it’s crazy since they work so hard and put so much effort into all these things, not only that but they also push themselves out of their comfort zones a lot of the times in order to satisfy the fandoms and honestly we just want them to stay heathy and be happy 😭
Imagine That yes!!! that is so so true. I wish that the entertainment companies would take note from all of our complaining and trashing them that we really do care about their health and happiness first 😅😅
Yes, i don’t know if it is like a positive thing.... like that clip of jimin was really sad, and it seemed like it was taking a toll on him mentally :(
omg I have to explain it to the person I'm sending it to, he's literally a daddy of a babygirl-- oh wait that still sounds wrong, I meant he's a father of a daughter-
''You can't understand the-'' JUST SEARCH THE LYRICS TO YOUR LANGUAGE IN RU-vid, Or stan Stray Kids they have a lot of english songs and they have aussie line :)
I’m Norwegian, I didn’t understand English before 6th grade... so for me, listening to kpop isn’t that of a big difference, since, i was listening English music before I understood anything 🤷🏻♀️ so I don’t really understand why my parents think it’s stupid
Same I'm french and it's definitely not been a long time since I can understand the lyrics from english songs, I also listen to many spanish artists so hearing another language in a song is no big deal for me...
I remember when ATEEZ used to turn on vlive nearly after every concert they had last year, they said that it was to make sure the fans that couldn’t attend don’t feel left out and now I’m sobbing again😭😭they even turned on the vlive while performing their last song at the concert too
-- sorry you’re right! I don’t speak korean and I saw a few posts about the song being ab consent and that made sense from the few english lyrics but I just looked it up and it is in fact more about beauty standards lol!! so that’s totally a mistake on my part i should’ve actually checked that before putting it in. both great meanings either way:))
Alanis Ismangil yes!!!! I think that’s why I was confused lol. I really should’ve double checked that before putting it in the video so I apologize. thank u both for helping correct me!
sunshine bangtan lmao I don’t find it a problem, even if it was about beauty standards, it’s still fits in the whole topic of what u were saying about their lyrics
a perfect example for a all-rounded idol for me is Han Jisung, he raps, sings, dances and produces music and at the same time he has an unique, likeable personality and he’s passionate about everything he does
Jet Mixer YEEEES i know i just said this in my last reply to you too lol but I no joke had a section all ab jisung when I was making this and how he’s a great example of a super multi-talent idol but took it out because I already had so much jisung/skz 😭😭lol I totally agree!!!
Lmao as a Hispanic teen in NY, Latin pop is very popular because its catchy and its been on the radio in ny since i was a kid. Theyre more accepted as a result although Gangnam was huge when i was kid.
the lyrics are actually what got me into kpop. My friend, who I actually had a crush on, was talking about stray kids and mentioned insomnia and so I looked it up, mostly to try and impress her, and the first video that popped up was one of those color coded lyric videos and I watched and I really related to the lyrics. I mean at the time I had insomnia and was on medication to help me sleep so the connection was pretty obvious. Before that I really just thought that kpop was the exact same about western music where they either talk about girls/boys or partying. But, it really is so much more than that I mean they talk about mental illness and loneliness and toxic relationships and hating yourself and about learning to love and accept yourself.
Me: A Filipina who listens to Kpop My Classmates: Why do u listen to Kpop it's not even ur language?! Me: Why do u listen to English songs but it's not ur language?
It's honestly weird, I mean there is a thing called orchestra, people listen to it and have no problems with it. So why can't we listen to kpop? Like, the important part is THE MUSIC, sometimes the lyrics don't matter
dude my friends diss me for liking and listening to kpop and saying that it’s cringe, ugly, disgusting, and i hear this everytime i try to talk about it, “yOu cAn’T eVen UndErStaNd whAt thE fUcK thEy’Re sAying.” while the music they listen to is rap or japanese songs (japanese songs are good but in the same way you don’t understand what they’re saying, right?), and rap is just like “NSJSKSJJSKAKSKSKcheatingonmygirlfriendJJSJSJAKAJSJKSNSJZMZJAJSNZJNSNAANNstupiduglyJSHSJANAJNSKSNSJAJSN”
I love this , especially cause it’s not all BTS which most people only use examples from them instead of all f the other talented groups which BTS is great but they’re not the only one
i hate it when people say they are kpop fans and stuff and when i asked them what groups do you know they just answered BTS so i asked again are there more? they just decline and i'm like -_- and when people just use BTS for clout i just really hate it
@@khaipham1580 I agree with you but not in the same time, they can like only 1 group i don't see where is the problem, not everyone needs to be a multistan. On the other side, i don't think stanning only bts et listening only to bts makes you a fan of kpop so yeah
@@khaipham1580 sometimes what happens to me is when I say I enjoy kpop people automatically say " oh so you like bts!" And i'm like "yeah , I do but not only them ! There's a lot of others great groups too" and then they be like " meh ". I kinda hate the way the people automatically thinks that kpop=bts , when bts is like a part of a giant gender that kpop is !
This just came into my recommended but I would just like to add that idols actively learn new languages to be able to interact with their fans more. Take WayV for example, 5/7 members can speak English with varying fluency levels and the two who cannot are learning so that they can. It is similar with stray kids where 5 members have varying fluency levels and the other 3 try their hardest when it comes down to speaking English. Many idols even speak crazy amounts of languages. The ones that come to mind first are obviously yangyang and Ten from WayV who can each speak about 5 languages (YangYang: German, English, mandarin, korean, cantonese) (Ten: Thai, English, Korean, Mandarin, learning Japanese)
@@sunshinebangtan I thought all Kpop idols learn Japanese because it is such an important market for them and I used to be into Jpop before Kpop and still love it, to me the sound of the music then the voices is most important because I like to listen to mp3 especially when I can't sleep I have bouts of insomnia or short sleep patterns and I get bored plus music helps my brain switch off to get some sleep and sometimes not knowing the words kinda helps too
I went to a Straykids concert and honestly I have never been so happy in my entire life. They served such an amazing show and took ONE BREAK it was for like 2-3 hours long. The non English speaking members tried their best to communicate how much they love us. We started chanting that Chan is the best leader and he got so shy but the members hyped him up. Everything about it made me feel like they really appreciate and love me. Well not me the fans I truly think idols love what fans stand for. Straykids kept saying how wonderful and amazing we are and I had a confidence change for like a month. Ahh this is long stan Straykids they are the best boys and basically eat CDs and stays are so spoiled it’s not even funny.
@æspa winter fanboy she/ he didn't put a gun on your head and didn't say "STAN STRAY KIDS"?? And if you are thinking Hyunjin is a bully go and do some research. Even his teachers wrote a whole paragraph to just prove he is such a great person. And if you're going to say "This can be fake." go and search for the reason why is he getting called by "Bully." He just said his classmate -which is actual bully of the class - to "Close the door." And finally if you are not going to do any of this ,still judge a person we are not going to call you as a "STAY" and a "Respectful Person." And I'm warning you because you can live the same stituan with STAYs one day, your idol can live something like this and society and Knetzs won't even give a chance to her and even her company reveal something but you know this was not a bad thing So you gotta not attack people. One day you can see a comment like this for Aespa, who knows?
@æspa winter fanboy and one more thing. Most of the idols lived some bad situations because a huge lawlessnes scandal grew up in Korea. This is the reason why most of the idols had a lot of rumors
It's insane how those people are down to earth. Some friends and I were at a concert of 5 kpop artists (Astro, EXID, Ailee, Kard and Stray Kids) and after it ended we stayed on the parking space for some time. Suddenly a big white minivan pulled up, honked at us and the passengers waved to us. It was Kard in that car, I clearly saw Jiwoos blond hair 😍 we screamed for minutes 😂
just a note for you: SuperM was created to mostly promote in America and overseas, so their music is mostly in English for that purpose. No hate, just something I noticed :)
Jet Mixer yes good point!! I had a disclaimer saying that in the video originally but took it out to try and make the video shorter since it’s still technically kpop. no worries! also love your avi I LOVE little mix lol
@ArmyStayAtinyTomoon you’re not bothering me thanks for the recommendation!! I do actually already really like them but I appreciate the recommendation
@@sunshinebangtan 3racha does have some meaningful songs like 42 but then they have some songs about random stuff like how much they love their hoodies 😂
others: why would we listen to something that is not in our language. My country not having modern songs in our language: I NEVER LISTEN TO SONGS IN MY LANGUAGE
weeb-K-MM TRASH YES FRRR thank u for your perspective!!!! it’s so upsetting that some people won’t listen to some music just bc of the language when it’s not even an option for everyone globally to only listen to what they speak
I'm Egyptian, my mother tongue is Arabic, but all of my life I've been listening to western artists like Ariana Grande, One direction, Selena Gomez and more. I only listen to Egyptian songs when I'm in the car with my parents and there was this one time where I actually liked one a lot so I started listening to it regularly- honestly at this point I can barely speak Arabic, like yes I can hold a conversation and speak about various topics but in terms of vocabulary, I know so little lmao
@@eren14039 lmao same, well I'm from Morocco, we regularlly speak our dialect language called Darija, and we learn Arabic, French, and English in school, and speaking Arabic is so effing hard like bruh-
I don't like it when people use the language barrier as an *excuse* just to not listen to kpop, but some people just actually prefer to listen to songs they can understand without having to use subtitles and I respect that. Like I always say, "Everyone has their own preferences so I don't mind if you don't like it, just don't spread hate or deny the idols' talent."
personally, the whole language thing never bothered me. tbh, when it comes to english songs, the majority of the time i have no clue what they're saying because they don't sing it super clearly. so yeah, i would have to look up the lyrics either way.
I wish kpop wasn’t as stigmatized, and you did an amazing job explaining that. I’m a new fan (literally of just bts lol) and I’m literally scared to say that I like their music because it has such a bad rep and people think it’s weird.
JoAnna thank you!!:)) and I feel you fr 😩 it took me so long before I started being open about being a fan bc I was kinda embarrassed. which is so stupid!!!! it’s literally just music but people are so judgmental. I eventually lost all shame and stopped caring but I know it’s kinda hard. i’m here for u sis
And it's much worse if you're a guy who is a kpop fan. Most people think that only screaming teenage girls can enjoy kpop even though thats completely false. When I was in high school (which was literally an year ago) I got bullied by a group of idiots after I said that I was an ARMY. Fortunately, they stopped after I beat up one of them and gave another a broken nose (they didn't know I took taekwondo classes). Got suspended for a week but totally worth it. Anyways I wish people would be more open minded and less judgemental of others preferences. It's really annoying to see people saying stuff like "kpoop gay" and downright harassing people online just because they have an idol as a profile picture. Sorry for the long paragraph lol just needed to vent my frustrations.
James Bond 007 aww that’s literally so mean I’m so sorry you had to deal with that!! It’s a harsh world we live in and if it isn’t the stereotypical “normal” then it’s not welcome in society. I’ve found that rather than just being a fan and liking their music, I’ve turned to watching bts when something made me feel down and they cheered me up immediately because of how funny and genuine they are. When the world is against us we always have the boys and army :) let me know if you need anything! I’m here :)
@@joanna2057 yep I totally agree. And thanks for the concern, but it's all good now. Honestly people who hate on bts are just missing out on what us armys experience
It made me think of Error by VIXX, like that shit was a whole-ass movie??? And even A.C.E with their tiny company and limited budget manage to put out MVs like Under Cover and Savage, it's great
The reason I got into Kpop is cuz it felt so diverse and different. I started to prefer it over American music cuz it felt like everyone was doing the same type of song over and over again in the U.S
This is kinda random but when I listen to kpop I usually entirely forget it’s in a different language And it’s not that I understand it because I can’t speak korean but it’s like my brain doesn’t even register that it’s a different language When I listen to it it’s just music Also another thing is that idk what it is but I just really like music that isn’t in my native language (which is English) Like I listen to a LOT of Spanish and French music. And Japanese, Celtic, korean, russian and the list goes on I do listen to a lot of English music too but if I like a song I’m not gonna care what language it’s in
Pie Pi yeees!!! these are amazing points. I do the same thing I like don’t even register languages anymore I just hear music. that’s so cool that you listen to such a variety!!
This is one of the best, if not the best videos that actually will help nonkpop fans understand the perspectives of us kpop fans, I loved it, thanks for the video!
Oh really? im so glad, K-pop is amzing, i really dont listen to anything other than it but, i can recommend some groups for you to listen to if you like? ATEEZ, MCND, TXT, BTS, ONEUS, ONEWE, KARD, Blackpink, seventeen, twice, ENHYPEN, Monsta X, Straykids, Day 6, Red velvet, MAMAMOO, and as for soloists, Chungha, Sunmi, Baekhyun, and Holland (idk many soloists and girl groups sorry) and i think thats it, if i come up with any more groups or soloists to recommend ill try to come back to this comment and recommend more ^^
@@klara5935 Oh haha, well your welcome anyway, and ya, that's why I love the K-pop community, its much more friendly, and welcoming/helpful, than like western music fandoms and stuff XD I honestly think the reason for that though is because a lot of the K-pop groups people love and listen to try and teach the fans and stuff how to love ourselves and others, but also teach us to be kind and helpful. Like i used to be spoiled and a brat, but then I got into K-pop and bands like BTS taught me that my behavior was wrong, and now im a really good person who just wants to help people ^^ but yeah, everyone please continue being good, supportive people, don't spread hate and become a bad person, everyone just needs a bit of love and conversation, talk to someone if you have problems, and work it out together, and if you don't like something, then just ignore it, you don't have to talk about it and hate on it, cause that's just bad behavior, its rude and disrespectful.
21:13 nothing breaks my heart more. nothing. my chest literally hurts by seeing these videos and i break down crying everytime. nothing hurts more. the thing is that they do so fucking well everytime and most people (if not all) don’t even care if any of them would mess up, they’re human of course they’re allowed to mess up. knowing they only think about what went bad (not even bad just not perfectly) and like jimin get so stressed out and feel guilty about it breaks me. i rarely watch videos when they feel guilty about messing something up because it hurts so bad i can’t handle it. i hope they’ll realize they’re good enough no matter how much they do wrong. we still love them just as much.
Why did you add Love Talk? I wanted to show this to my mom T-T Oh well. I guess she'll forever keep listening to music in English. Love the memes tho 👌
loveya ok LMAOOOO i didn’t even think about the potential to show parents when I added that song I am so sorry 😭😭😭💀 maybe you can just skip past it when she’s not looking? 🤭🤭👀 LOL thank you!!!
I honestly don't like how extremely ageist the kpop industry seems to be. Although culture plays a part, western society is nowhere near the extreme that asian countries have about "youth". Irene from Red Velvet had a lot of the kpop community saying she "looked good for her age" as if 29 is young, some people even said that she might be thinking of ending her career. Hyuna was kicked out of cube because she was 27 and wanted to actually start dating. Apink is one of the oldest girl groups that are still quote unquote "mainstream" and pulling I would say, still a good chunk of streaming numbers and most of them are **just reaching 26** 26!!! FFS. It's totally unfair.
@@notwerkinginthishouse8634 I agree actually. Just can't stand how people make it seam like you can't be an idol after a certain age... Like really? There are fantastic artists all over the world who still make music decades later! There shouldn't ever be that stigma that just cause you rwach a certain age you might be "too old" to still be an idol/artist. Smh... Just let them make music and stop worrying about the age! Music knows no age, so they shouldn't care about it either!
whenever someone mentions meaningful lyrics, my mind always goes to stray kids. insomnia, phobia, voices, hellevator, grow up, levanter, side effects and so many more. they never fail to touch my soul :))
"but now I'm in college but I'm sure that wont happen to you lol" Me: started liking kpop in my senior year of high school and now I'm a grad student lol
it got me through the last few years of college when my brain was so burnt out from studying. fast forward 7-8 years lol just got more into it. kpop idols being so multilingual also inspired me to start learning languages, i am now studying 5 languages in my free time for fun lol
@@SissyAngel ahh I study french (have for like... seven or so years now) and I'm trying to learn korean! However, I am so busy with my studies that I have forgotten a lot of french and I don't have much time for studying either language. Many I will have a better time learning after I'm done with my masters?? How do you do it lol
@@madalyn7360 cause i didnt go for a masters lol, i'm just working so it helps take my mind off of things. i learned french in hs and recently picked it up again. remember more than i thought i would. better question is how you do it? a master's is a lot of work, i admire that dedication.
The last 10 minutes i was just like... *Sobbing in Jin* *Jackson crying and laughing at the same time* *just crying because all the kpop artists deserve so much and should get appreciated more but ignorant people don't see the talent they have and how amazing and beautiful they are* I'm just so happy to be a part of this world with them TT
BRO so at first when i saw the title I was all like "is thiS a HaTE VIDEO?????" and I was about to THROW HANDS but then I saw "until I accidentally got myself sucked in" and then I went "WHat?" umm so then I calmed down but then I watched the whole goddamn 26 minutes and 13 seconds and cried and bro I was so confused. i think I'm on my period. oof save me from these mood swings. but this video really had a point to it and I am so glad someone made another one that is equally as good which is also another one i can send to my gc. SO THANK YOU AND NO I WILL NOT KILL YOU (unless you do some shit imma come for you)!!!!!
I think the fact that they are so humble it’s because of their culture. Like they (most of people) are always thankful, they return compliments and use formal language to persons who are older or persons that they don’t know.
The 'it's not in our language' argument, it's as equal as Spanish music, it's not on English but locals still listen, I myself am a basic edgy Mexican chick, but I listen to French, English, Spanish, Korean and more.. It's just locals not accepting good music, or they just don't like it. But we should all respect C:
I always cry when I see the lyrics of Straykids songs. Like when I saw the 'my Pace' lyrics before I just thought that was a hype song but it's so deep I just love Straykids for that
