Why Does Julius Betray You? The Real Reason, Why Hes Not Reformed- Saints Row Lore Explained 

My respects to you, Professional. I don't care if people are still trashing you, for not playing GTA Online anymore, your cosplay videos are amazing, and your lore videos too, from GTA to Saints Row. I can't wait to see the next GTA lore video, like the cuestionable fall of Johnny K and the Lost MC in GTA V, as well as your opinion about Trevor, after killing Johnny and the rest of the main characters from the TLAD.

Tiny little details expose Julius too. For example, his car is an expensive sports car. King's car is a lot more modest and practical.

Respectfully this is what Saints Row 3 should have been based on, the results of all of this mess. The lore is what drives the entire series. It is now clear that the devs were more focused on the gameplay and how things look instead of finishing a brilliant story. F in the chat

I think Julius was wrong for assuming the playa wouldn’t of dropped his flags. Julius is a hypocrite who used the playa. The reason the boss in saint row 2 says he wouldn’t of dropped his flag was out of anger of the man he looked up to blowed him up. In that sense can’t blame the boss. The reason Julius wanted boss dead because he saw himself or thought he did. Look how Julius was willing to kill his own friend Benjamin king or get others to with it for him. Yeah he made the playa 2nd command but deep down he wanted control for himself

Kieth David is such a gigantic badass that he stays in the series as a main character even after Julius is killed off, and he plays himself.

I've always wondered is Julius wearing body armour in revelations because he speaks fine not like a guy who just got shot. I get the feeling that Julius was going to try manipulate you again and run but he wasn't expecting the boss to shoot him in the head

Julius is the reason the playa/the boss became a ruthless killer and psychopath. The main character is his Frankenstein's monster.

The amount of story depth put into both saints row 1 and 2 is incredible

I remember playing over and over again, realizing that the Vice Kings could be thought of as the weakest gang in Stilwater, because of the civil war between Ben and the rest of the VK's. Think about it, owning that amount property in the city would bring better income because technically, it would be less risk compared to what Tanya wants. Moving forward, look at how much hesitation Manuel has when he starts shooting Angelo. None. It solidifies the fact that he's only there to make contacts in Stilwater for the Columbian Cartel.

Julius betrays you over an animation error

The Dutch comparison is spot on, another that ran my mind is stringer bell from the wire.

In hindsight, Julius portrayed himself as though he saw Ben King become as bad as the gang he was fighting and turned away eventually starting his own gang to end it all. In reality Julius was jealous of King, he wanted the money and power. He even turned away when King went legit.

I also had this sense that Julius was actually afraid of the playa, because when Troy asked if he could be convinced to surrender, Julius replies: “That kid’s never gonna stop”

I wouldn't say his issue is that he became moral too late, I'd say Julius' problem is narcissism. He didn't like that King was in charge so he started his own gang, using any excuse he could. He's a bundle of lies and excuses, I think he believes his lies because he's a narcissist. He thinks he can talk down the Boss 'cause he's Julius, he can talk his way through anything. But when you look at his actions he's incredibly foolish, bordering on straight-up dumb.

Actually the animation where Julius was running down an alleyway all bloody was supposed to take place at the end when they were showing him, Aiesha, Donnie, Lous, Ben, and Troy as to leaving us to speculate who it was that set the bomb

Damn, this series’s story was way more amazing than I thought.

For anyone that wants to know the actual reason, it’s because the animators got lazy when making Julius’ little scene during the ending of saints row 1.

Gotta love how he’s named “Julius,” because Julius Caesar I guess got too powerful and was betrayed, but Julius betrays the Playa and likely saw them as that.

Phenomenal video! It just goes to show the amount of care and detail that went into the writing for the first two SR games. I look forward to the future SR lore videos :)

Julius expects loyalty from his crew but has no trouble killing them when he doesn’t need them anymore. He’s not a saint. He’s a demon.
