Why does my Chevy or GMC keep locking when I walk away? 

Omg thank you! Mine stopped doing this and I thought it was an error and now I realized I turned it off without knowing what exactly I was doing lol

I have a 2018 Chevrolet 2500hd. I have locked the keys in the ignition twice. Is there a setting to stop that from happening when they are in the ignition? Thanks

My 2016 Equinox keeps unlocking when I hit the door lock on the door. And my FOB is not working at all, both happened at the same time. Any insight or suggestions? I then took the battery out of the FOB but the driver car door still would not stay locked, every time I hit the lock button on the door it would just unlock two seconds later!

I have chevorlat traverse 2023, when I close the doors lock while driving because I have kids in the back, if any one open the door will open from second try, how can I make the order of unlocking just from driver, please help me, the manual not clear

All throughout the night my 2014 Jeep Patriot kept locking even thought all 4 doors were locked, so the horn kept chirping. Over the past few days I noticed that I would have to press my remote several times to get them remote to with lock or unlock. Yesterday I had to try a few times to press the button on the door itself to get it to unlock all my doors.

You can also toggle it on and off by holding both lock and unlock down on the fob.

I can't get mine to lock while I'm in the vehicle unless I'm in drive. I can't pull up to an atm & put it in park while I get money because it unlocks it leaving me vulnerable. I can't park in a parking lot & lock the doors either with a fob or manually, or won't lock.

Yes my 2017 2500 did this with my key inside and the Chevy dealer told me my fob must've lost connection and was not able to help me. I had to pay $80 for a locksmith 😡

How do you shut off the autolock when shifting from park 2024 sierra?

I have always left my keys in my 2015 tahoe and the doors would not lock. My 3 year old was hitting buttons the other day and now my car will lock even with the fob Inside. How do I change it back so that my car doesn't lock if keys inside. Thanks

You can also turn the beep off and just have the lights flash

I don’t want it to LOCK. The stupid fob is broke and it was my third fob so I got a transponder key. I have to leave it in the car because the key always opens when the little chip inside falls out on the ground. No one‘s going to steal my old crappy car, and I want it to be unlocked all the time but it keeps on locking no matter what setting I put it on, can you tell me how to stop this? I’m gonna take a hammer to the damn dashboard kill that thing stops, locking up

Change the battery on the fob ..easy fix

Ok so can anyone explaine this to me. So I have a 2012 impala LT. So when I walk away with the regular key. No fob. And it knows to lockitself. So my questio, If all I have is the key how does it know when I don't lock my car and when I get about 6 feet it'll lock. But if I leave the key inside and walk away it won't lock. How does the car know if it's just a regular key? Weird right? Or am I tripping lol

Hey GM guy. Show us how with out the electronic screen not all of us heavily electronic screen like that. So if you're really a true GM guy like you're claiming explain to us how we do it without that screen.
