If everyone spent a portion of their lives in poverty and not knowing when or if it would end, this world would be a different place-probably with a lot more empathy.
A coal miners daughter for fresh and curious of what the world has to offer while realizing that it is the simple things in life that keeps it real and close to Christ!!
@@valeriehancotte-galan4790 dolly said if she was born a man she'd be a drag queen. Plus if you think dolly is anything but genuine, you don't know anything about her.
I love that about Dolly, I love the fact that she wouldn't buy $3000 on a coat or a purse when it could have fed a family of 12. Its not like Dolly couldn't do it but she won't. I respect that.
This lady is a legend she is real and she stands for what she believes I love how she talks about God and prayer which is what this world needs she has stayed real and true and humble I mean she is just the whole package. For her to be a world-wide legend she is the classiest down to earth sweetheart
I LOVE when interviewers let the guest speak and this interviewer does that. Great interview! I adore Dolly Parton. She’s the greatest. I love how sweet and straight forward she is.
Dolly is so loveable and this person doing this interview is fantastic. He lets Parton talk without interruption. So respectful. So much love to you both.
I think we should start a petition to get a national holiday for Dolly Parton while she’s alive. She’s such a delightful woman and a national treasure. ❤️ her!
Her selfless nature is something that others should be encouraged to emulate - if creating a national holiday for her will teach others to follow her example, I think it’s a fine idea!
@@doloresreynolds8145 thank you! The person who commented above clearly doesn’t understand sarcasm. She’s definitely right up there on my list of people I’d love to have dinner with.

Kudos to Frederik Skavlan for reaching out to one of America’s greatest artists Dolly Parton and showing his native Norway the best of Nashville, TN USA.
She certainly is. Such a blessing to the world. I wish I had someone like her in my life. Goodness knows, that I could use a miracle right now. The world could.
Merry Xmas Dolly I think you the best I move to n Myrtle beach hopping I would meet you again I first met you in Houston with Kenny maybe one day I will get to see again.you are down to home gal
In 1985, "Sometimes When We Touch" was notably covered by American country music artists Mark Gray and Tammy Wynette. The tune was recorded as a duet between the artists and originally released as a single the same year. The song was recorded in November 1984 and was produced by Steve Buckingham. I think you’ve got it wrong . The one I’ve heard and I’ve never heard Wynette or Gray is the one by Dan Hill. I’ve never heard Dolly cover it .
Hello Michael, how are you doing. I believe you are staying safe. I'm Patti from California. I'm looking for a new friend and i saw your pic here. I hope you don't mind, thank you.
This solidifies my love for Dolly Parton.....and I don’t even like country music. All celebrities should takes notes from her on how to be a professional in the entertainment business
@@kismet2354 That's she's real and that's why we love her. I'm sure that registers in your mind now, hmm? and if you're going to use a question mark, using two provides an exclamation, and any more than that means you fell asleep in high school English class.
She is amazing. She is one performer that hasn’t forgotten where she came from and she is so giving to so many charities. God bless her and her family.

I met Dolly, outside of our doctor’s office; both waiting for the elevator. I spoke up, saying I couldn’t just stand next to her - and not say how lovely I thought she was. Well, she ended up complimenting *me*. I’ve worked in entertainment, over half of my life; yet, never was truly interested in “mainstream,” in my time of working in Hollywood. It’s so energizing to me, experiencing how One of such vast success, can be so humble,, courteous and gratuitous; while many of those who are hardly succeeding, in the very same field - have such incredibly inflated egos.. Dolly is the perfect example of what I like to call The “Same Formula; Different Variables” Effect; as her attitude goes to show, choosing to embody such kind of mind-set, ways of being, manners and ability to authentically connect with others - truly is the path to ultimate success. Whatever One’s desired success and vision, that resides in their heart, may be..
Wow! What an awesome story and great experience for you! I don’t have an ounce of “star struck” in me but Dolly, Dolly is something out of this universe and in a literally universal realm all of her own. There is absolutely no one like her. That experience would had rattled my very soul. ❤❤😊
It wouldnt matter what Dolly wears, she would look like a million dollars in rags. She is beautiful inside and out. My momma lived in Knoxville, Tn. That's where my family lives. She remembers Dolly when she was a little girl. And I remember my Granny talking about Dolly being on the Cazz Walker show. So my family grew up with Dolly..We love her like family...Dolly, you dont spend alot on your clothes because you help so many people with your money. God Bless You Sister. Love ya
I’m not sure why this came up in my suggestions, but I’m glad it did. Dolly is a beautiful person, inside and out. She provides light to what seems to be a dark World, right now. Thank you so much for sharing this interview. Stay safe!
This is a lovely interview. He genuinely seems to want to hear what she has to say. He didn’t interrupt or talk over her. Really just a wonderful interview and interviewer.
It’s simply amazing to me that Dolly during a pandemic, has been busier than ever. Mostly writing songs to engage and inspire her fans. She sees and feels the anxieties we all are living through. Her most recent single, “I believe” is one of her best works of art. Dolly will never stop as long as she can influence and inspire the world, all while wearing six inch platforms at 74. 🦋
@@juliarussell1696 that truly sucks! For all her awesomeness & goodness & then she goes & does this! Disney has been exposed too. Ghislaine in for 20 until she gets Clintoncided
I have seen several interviews with Dolly and this is by far my favorite. She is always open and pleasant, but many interviewers have been rude or demeaning. I like how this interview allows her to shine and the conversational style is very gentle. That’s a more revealing tactic than the ‘tough’ interview style or male chauvinism she’s had to put up with at times.
Years ago, my mother saw Dolly perform at long Beach Sports Arena with Porter Wagner and got to see Dolly afterwards. My mother told Dolly she would be a super Star, and as always, my mother was right. I still have the autographed picture Dolly gave my mother. God blessed me with my mother and the world with Dolly. I love you Dolly.
What a perfect interview!!! One of the best i have ever seen. Fredrik is my very favorite in interviewing. He seems so sweet, humble, and kind, and also seems to have a way to put one at ease. And i never get tired of listening to Dolly interviews!!!
Dolly is probably the most authentic singer in America, a true iconic genuine human being who inspires unconditional love and joy. Aside from her immense talent we love her for just being her. She is a blessing to America. We love her smile, laughter and she speaks the truth.
Merry Christmas to you, Skavlan, from Northern California. You are a lively, classy, insightful man who knows how to go deep with kindness and still have an edge. It was a joy to see you with Dolly. She is such a peacemaker in the worst time that I have ever seen in the USA. And I'm 66, so I have seen many troubled times, but not such divisiveness within our ppl. You brought out Dolly right on time here, who told it clear and true. Oh, Dolly thx and Merry Christmas to u for reminding folks what holidays are really about and how we should treat each other. Both of you together started out a rough day for me a lot better. God bless you both! And thx for all the work you both do. Peace and love to you and all.
Dolly is my religion 🤩❤️ Seriously. I’ve followed Dolly very closely these past 10 years; so know a lot about her🤗 But always a joy to listen to her speaking. Another great interview Mr S 👌🏽
I love how Dolly sings bits of three songs when some singers would have only performed one or said no all together. Her voice is just so calming and peaceful ❤
My eyes were filled with tears when Dolly sang. She is so extraordinary, there is no one to compare her to, just her presence and voice lift my heart and I feel at peace. God Bless you Dolly and Carl. Happy New Year 2021!!
Hello Skavlan! Great interview as always. You ask interesting questions and your passion and curiosity always shines through. I wanted to ask could you please consider posting whole episodes of the show on RU-vid? Either way I love the show and keep on doing what you do. You’re one of the real ones and it definitely shows in your interviews!
Thank you so much for that, Pedro! We're so glad to hear that you enjoy our interviews! As this is our international channel that's geo-blocked in Norway and Sweden due to ownership rights, we mainly focus on our international interviews here. Which is the reason we don't upload full shows (they usually contain a lot of Scandinavian language) here at the time being. But your feedback has been noted, thanks again!
My daughter lives in her hometown and delivered 2 babies at the Dolly Parten women’s center. My grand babies get her books. This lady gives to her community. After the terrible fire in Gaitlenburg she donated tons of money and offered jobs. She is amazing. I have highest regard for her.
Great interview Fredrik! I adore Dolly and admire her so much. Oh and also I've been to Dollywood Park twice, in 1993 & 2000, definately worth the visit. Great food and entertainment! Love from Pennsylvania 🇺🇸
