That's not entirely, true, when erased came out in 2016,it was pretty popular, it's just 7 years have passed and so much more popular anime are coming out lol, plus in terms of time travel link click is the new gen of time travel in anime😊
@@GarethOfByzantium even its a donghua, it's technically a Chinese anime, crunchyroll even called it an anime in general, but yes your not wrong, but the point I'm making is that link click is the only new time travel anime(donghua or Chinese animation)
Erased is great and it was heavily talked about during the anime season it came out in. I think the ending is a bit meh for some ppl which is why it probably doesnt get talked about much today.
Yeah I know I'm in the minority but I have no issues with the ending. I did read the Manga ending and loved it too! But the ending in one the real life ones? Awful.
Yes! also i watched years ago in Netflix i thing was my first live action and only one it was great then later i found the Anime series but for me the live action did better in this particular case
It was pretty popular, but the ending is what made it fall out of popular conversation. I remember a lot of people were disappointed with it at the time.
Erased was the talk of the town own in the anime community back when it first came out. Its just another one of those really good anime that were popular during airing but was eventually forgotten. That happens a lot.
The ending's kinda meh. I remember reading about the original ending in manga, and was not impressed either. But that breakfast scene in one episode was really touching, very well done.
The fact that they made the second half Patreon exclusive is a whole new kind of stupid. Instead of having a new fan I now hate your guts for making me waste 32 minutes for nothing, that's so dumb!!!
Erased was super popular when it came out its just that anime wasn't as popular as it is now post covid. Now new people starting to watch anime and have missed a lot of hype and shows from pre-covid era.
SPOILERS Erased was good until the ending for me, It was so out of pocket with the murdrer literally waiting years for our mc to wake up and i just felt shitty seeing him wake up to most of his friends having moved on with their life and started a family while he has a murderer on his back and almost died whilst wasting years of his life in a coma..
yes, people mostly look down on anime live action adaptation. because when the adaptation is good, people just accept it and move along. but when the adaptation is bad, people tend to scream about it and let everyone knows. the action and environment in anime scenes are hard to translate in real world medium. especially when it comes to fantasy/scifi anime. but there are a lot of live action adaptation based on drama or slice of life manga/anime that are great
Erased is my favorite Anime show. I am a sucker for time travel. It reminds me of “The Butterfly Effect” movie in 2004. How he reads journals from his childhood and he goes back in time to change the events and alter the future to fix his childhood trauma.
in the manga when he's in a coma the doctor suggest to pull the plug because he's been in a coma for so long, and her mother aswer was? "Fuck You" the baddest line her mother can give, she never give up on her son never like her son never give up on her
18:30 I had a neighbor that lived down the street that would hang out with us kids when he was 20 and we were 13-15. He was an adult with the mind of a 12 year old. He lived on his own but next to his parents. We would always go hang at his house during the summer. My mom asked if I thought it was ok(parents trusted us to decide with some thought on a lot of things growing up) I said he was fine and was a big push over. He did what he was told and was a follower when we all hung out. He did what we wanted to do. The worst thing he had was adult magazines but oddly enough none of us really cared much about that. We just wanted to play video games and jump on the trampoline at his house. His parents I think had more of a problem with us hanging out with him than anyone involved. Protective. Once he was in his 30's he started to act more his age. I met him years later and he was married to a girl that had the same problem as him. They had just got married and seemed really happy. Not heard of him since then.
For the same reason that no one talks about the sound of freedom or the best assassin in the world reincarnated in a fantasy world or healer redo, sexual violence is not well regarded and is difficult to recommend.
The part where satoru was taking kayo from the house when he got up very early where you said the mom was doing it to not get caught, i actually thought maybe shes allowing it because it means that kayo is out more and she doesnt have to take care of her as much but also what you said made a good point as well
ohh this is probably my favourite anime ever, im sure you guys will 100% enjoy this show, it was like a rollercoaster of emotion the first time i did. im glad you guys are reacting to it.
Cause it has been 8 years and they changed some stuff in the ending that totally made it worse then the manga. It's still worth watching but it's a series I always recommend the manga first because of those changes
The Japanese title of "ERASED" is "The Town Where Only I am Missing". When watching anime, it is recommended to avoid the dubbed version. Titles, scenes, dialogue, background music, etc. may be changed.
