I just want to point out, noelle heals the whole party with her burst if you have her skill active every time you auto with her. In mono geo, noelle has the potential to max out her burst stacks VERY quickly for those of you who want to screw around.

i think my favorite thing about Furina is that she breathes new life into so many characters and opens up a new way to think about team building … like it makes me so happy that characters like Noelle, Jean, or Mika, etc. have become way more valuable by the mere existence of Furina 💙😌

If your enemy is immune to hydro, just remember, her skill can also be used to heal and thus, she can be used as a replacement healer and damage buffer. She us useful no matter what lol

I know a lot of people are focusing on Furina boosting dmg, but I think the fact that she makes it possible for ANYONE to run the marasussy hunter set is absolutely insane!! I've got a pretty good set and with a crit rate or crit dmg weapon im getting characters to 100cr/200+cr dmg. I think this might officially make the hunter set the #1 best general set in the game for dps characters hands down

This is the first video I have seen vars break character and I just started laughing. Wonderful video. The genshin gods graced me today with a C2 Furina in ~94 pulls while winning all three 50/50s

I didn’t expect you already made everyone play for her even if mostly theory without future characters considered but I agree her similarities to Nahida especially in making even Kokomi top DPS is something I loved and I do suspect pyro and Cryo archons would be similar if they offered damage and Crit buffs respectively.

Two things to add to your analysis. 1. You forgot about Baizhu for full party healing 2. You might not need a healer if you bring the right character. Combine the healing recieved bonus from Furina's elemental burst with her first passive and any character with self healing (Neuvie, Rizzly, Hu Tao, Lyney, Lynette) could potentially heal the party

I feel like youre also overlooking Baizhu as a healer. His skill is a potent teamwide heal, and his ultimate consistantly and rapidly heals the onscreen party member.

IMO, Finally having another universal buffer + healer character like Bennett but more than just ATK. Even though that I never use her pneuma skill but I can't deny that her buffs are amazing.

Another thing is that she is being released together with Charlotte who can actually do party wide heals. So if you manage to somehow not have Jean then Charlotte might do.

After watching your video I realised how badly I wanted her now. I wasn’t interested in pulling for her first, but your video convinced me since I already have a neuvilette lol. On my first 10 pull I got pity broken by a Jean (funny since you said that Jean is her best support) and on my second 10 I got Furina lmao. I was like ‘is this fate?!?!’ XD.

Finally I won a 50/50 again and got Furina at 51 pity. Before this, I had lost five 50/50s in row. The last time I had won a 50/50 was Yelan's first banner. That's right..even before the release of Sumeru. And after watching this video, I'm so glad it was Furina's banner that I finally won a 50/50 again. Yay!

Arguably she is one of the most versatile characters. I tried several teams with her (she's only level 70 because my other friends were also farming her mats so they didn't let me in) and she puts in work. Can't wait to finish leveling her.

I dont think she power creeps in that she is a replacement for anyone. She is more like a ShenHe for Healers, but also really buffs almost any team at the same time. She is just the first character that might be better then BENNY

I'm just so happy that Furina can synergize well with Hu Tao and it's a good thing that i also got Neuvillette because i knew that he'd work well with Furina too not only that he's also just as important as Furina in Fontaine's story

As much as I hate to say it, you are drastically overestimating Furina. She has limitations in the fact that she needs a healer and that her hydro application is not nearly enough for many characters and team comps. The healer bit might not sound so bad but it removes Bennett from being on the team because his healing is not good enough, same with kuki, and a whole slew of other characters that would work well but don’t because they don’t have party wide healing. On top of that you could also be replacing people like Kazuha or Sucrose just cause you need Jean for healing. Don’t get me wrong Furina is still an amazing unit, just not the best.

The appeal of these videos to me was seeing them as a retrospective of the characters, a recap of how they actually turned out to be This just feels like a character's first impressions

I already got Her C1 R1 from using half of my double top ups and freemos and i will soon buy out the rest of my double top ups and i will still get my regular wishes from from dailies, welkin, BP, abyss and events. I also have 60% of fontaine unexplored so i should have another 150 wishes by the end of her banner so hopefully i will get C2-4 depending on my luck.

7:50 Just a small nitpick, but it is indeed not "total" dmg, it is in the formula of DMG%, like the one you get from goblets (only it is not restricted to a type of dmg unlike elemental dmg% bonus).

Got her after 10 pulls (guaranteed after losing 50/50 on Hutao’s c1) and she’s definitely gonna be an upgrade to my Cyno quickbloom as i was building Mona for him and she wasnt all that crazy (Yelan is in my Hutao team). I hate that i gotta fish for a weapon tbh and i have no materials for her but im sure shes gonna be fun when shes done.

Baizhu c1 allows him to essentially do a party-wide full heal, but on his skill. And his burst also gives additional off-field healing to make sure you can fully cap fanfare stacks at c0 furina + a shield to prevent you from getting staggered into oblivion

Furina’s burst does not give unconditional damage buff. The condition is losing and healing hp to gains its stacks

If you don’t want to use jean and happen to have Baizhu he’s also a great option as his team wide healing is crazy too and on elemental skill

I was hoping her healing would be enough for solo sustain, but I guess it's fine since I've already built and love my Jean I initially wanted to try her in my Dehya team with Mona, Bennet and Kazuha, but now I think I might try Dehya, Furina, Mona, and Jean and just see what degree of redemption Furina can give to Dehya

Her damage boost, especially at c0 isn’t unconditional though. It can be difficult to pull off with a healer that only heals one party member at a time (like Diona or Bennett); I’ve already tried her with Diona and it’s very clunky, so she isn’t as versatile as you said. I don’t think she’s a must-pull, I think this video is overhyping her a bit, given the update just came out. Also maybe don’t reveal major story spoilers RIGHT after an update comes out?

The team I've been having fun with recently is Diluc, Furina, Yae Miko, and Baizhu. Easy to chain the reactions together, but also fun since I don't really like playing 'perfect' meta teams. It doesn't really have any enemies I can't effectively fight, either. If I ever need a bow user, I sub in Fischl though.

Why dosnt anyone give credit to baizhu? Presistent team wide healing off field and potent healing. Baizhu is arguably better then jean since jean onle heals with her burst. Baizhu heals party wide with both skill and burst. And so dose barbra evwn if shes much weaker burst wise

Furina's potential biggest strength is the fact she allows any character, all by herself, to use the Hunter artifact set. Free 36% cr for all!

What makes furina such an amazing character for my acc is how well she facilitates my existing alhaitham quickbloom (i dont have nahida). I use kuki and yaoyao and bith have perfect synergy with her. Her hydro application us slow enough for quicken aura to remain (yelans hydro app was too much). She creates an insane amount of bloom cores with her aoe application olus 100% uptime. PLUS she boosts my alahaitham's personal damage which I've been waiting for soo long. Can't wait to get her c1

Mine just hit a 59k Vape hit. She also made my tazer comp with beidou and fischl bonkers. I haven't even started focusing on her dmg buff and i'm already impressed.

Ok while watching this I was playing genshin and when he brought up her c2 I thought huh maybe I should try and build twords it as I already have c1, and from 0 pity I got her again Yup no matter what I'm going to use her

one of the main things i see about her damage bonus is is yes its potent, but someone like kazuha is a anemo unit, so VV shred. when you consider the total damage increase for 1 slot in a team, kazuha with 1k EM on most enemys, you would get a 75.6% damage increase on 1+ element, well furina if the team allows it to say shes being self important without basicly needing a second unit increases most builds asuming 146.6-200% dmg would only increase it by 51.1%-37.5%., even going for C1 thats 68.2%-50%. i can really see what teams she excel in will have a lot of opportunity cost and what the team wishes to do to think when she would be used vs other chars

Holy the amount of misinformation and misunderstanding on the theorycrafting part of Furina's kit is (to borrow Vars' word) INSANE! First thing first, regarding the Fanfare's buff, its not an uncoditional buff, it's highly conditional buff because you have to fluctuate your HP to gain that stacks. I mean, once you get 50% her summons stops draining your team HP and then she stop gaining the Fanfare stack therefore, no damage bonus gained. Now speaking of numbers at 5:06, character's damage output is HIGHLY DEPENDS on the team and buffs/rotations, one character can easily have either higher or a lower dmg compared to other at the same amount of investment just by modifying their rotations. I mean the idea of Furina have comparable dps to Yelan is not wrong, but when all you're comparing is their motion value, NOT the actual damage output, hell not even the total of the motion value in a rotation serve no real purpose. I'll just say, in a team where you play Yelan and Furina together, Yelan will no doubt have higher dmg ouput than Furina. Also at 6:00, what do you mean no activation condition on Furina's skill? You need your entire team to be above 50% for the summon to gain damage bonus and you need to fluctuate your teammates HP if you want to gain Fanfare stacks. Those are a very STRICT condition that require you to bring a Teamwide Healer on your team in place of other buffer/grouper/shielder to make sure the skill actually does damage. Attacking something to focus on targeting is like the least important condition for her summon its almost non-issue, since they auto target the enemies nearby anyway. You can just sit still and they'll still target enemies. Its just they wont do any damage unless you fulfill the HP requirement from your party. At 7:51, the 75% damage buff from fanfare (assuming you fully stack it at talent level 10), is additive to the other Damage Bonus buff like Elemental Skill damage bonus from Golden Troupe set or Normal/Anemo damage bonus buff from Desert Pavilion set. So basically assuming your entire party only dealing Pyro Element, this 75% damage bonus is the exact same buff as 75% Pyro Elemental damage bonus your party have from their Goblet. Its not a Total Damage, its an additive damage bonus. A total damage buff would be Xingqiu's C4 and Yoimiya's Elemental Skill. That's different. There's so much more to unpack especially in regard to how useful a 75% team wide damage bonus is. Like you do get that buff but you're losing out on a grouper and a decent 10%-20% of your team dps by losing Kazuha in favor of slotting Jean in a Neuvilette, Zhongli, Furina for example. Or dropping either Fischl, Xingqiu, Yelan in favor of slotting in Baizhu in a Cyno, Nahida, Furina team. Finally, 13:59, How the hell Diona is optimal healer for Furina in that team when Kokomi and Qiqi is considered not fast enough healer is beyond me!? Like i get you're excited about a new character, but boy, the amount of misinformation in this video is insane.

Actually, I guess she's well-balanced for the archon, at least at C0. I mean, replacing Kazuha with Jean is a big downgrade for team dps and utility, and the same goes for bringing in Mika, Carlotte, or Sayu to the team. Baijhu is the only one who works well with her and is a good overall unit. Maybe Kokomi and YaoYao could work, if you're able to give your healer some field time, for example, in a quick-swap playstyle. It's not like 'oh, you have a healer anyway,' because for many teams, that isn't true. Or these healers don't work well with her (Bennet, Kazuha). But she certainly opens up many possible fun team comps.

Gives me hope for the Pyro archon and maybe even Tsaritsa. She is really strong and while it will take time to learn her mechanics, she has instantly started carrying my teams that aren't even well built yet. It will be nice to see if they can copy her aspect to Pyro, letting the archon be really strong and work alongside bennet/xiangling but not make them irrelevant. Hopefully cryo will also get revitalized to have a new reaction setup or something that boosts all the current cryo on-fielders that we have

Vars, I love your vids, but making a video on why "everyone" Plays Furina when the char literally just dropped for a few minutes is stretching it

This video felt very rushed and not alot of research got into it for the first time. You showed Eula team but forgot diona was a bad choice there, Mika would work better there. Likewise, the Itto team looked scuffed and the hutao team was incredibly paper thin, removing xinqu from their your not only missing huge damage reduction but also interrupt resistance (this problem is expedited when you don't have c1 excess stamina to dodge out of atks). Also some team only had Benny as a solo healer. Surprised you didn't talk about other units like Mika, yaoyao, charlotte. Your opinion on kokomi is very highly, it should be noted that she is a good healer in furina teams WHEN she is a driver(felt like you don't talk about this imp point very much)

Honestly I'll wait until her rerun banner comes again to work on constellations. I've been waiting for her to be released and now that she is I have no regrets pulling for her.

Maybe I'm wrong about this, but I think you might be overlooking the healing factor in Furina's kit for one specific reason: she can still be used against opponents immune to hydro. That's the one annoying thing about Hydro (and every element, but it's particularly bad with this one). If you have a floor with hydro droplets, it makes every hydro character basically useless. However, in Furina's case, she pretty much says, "Well fuck. If I can't do damage, I'll just heal." And considering those things do a shit ton of damage in Spiral Abyss, it doesn't lower the effectiveness of her burst. Doesn't change any other aspect of your breakdown, but I just wanted to add in that bit of tech that caught my attention.

7:30 You actually do need to worry about snapshotting, but in the reverse direction. If you use a snapshottable move before Furina gets her stacks, the attack will still behave without Furina's buff. EDIT: Seems Furina Fanfare is special and does affect moves even after they've been snapshotted.

Let's remember a very important thing about Furina. For her to have a useful burst needs to use a healer, specially a party wide one. That is most of the time something that hurts DPS. She is great, but with kaviats

Furina has fought me tooth and nail. I came in with 340 pulls saved up, lost every 50/50 on the way down and wound up with her at c1, but I'm desperately clawing for her c2 now.

7:40 I’m not entirely sure on this but I’m like 69% sure furina’s burst buffs damage percent which is calculated the same as elemental damage percent. It doesn’t translate to a 75% damage increase to all characters like neuvillettes multiplier increase which it seems you believe, rather it just means that every character gets 75% elemental damage bonus for all elements and physical damage

After using her a bit I’m confident in saying I kinda disagree with how much you overrate her she’s good but also heavily restricted by the fact you need a party wide healer to which the options are slim and or you have to sacrifice a slot for what could be used on a better character, especially for her fan fair which is a really annoying ult, her minions are cool but in AoE scenarios really annoying, she’s neat and cool but I feel she’s got glaring problems

I want to get rerun on old weapons from past events like that Festering Desire. Like, maybe the half of players around there won't have these weapons. Even i could ascend to 3 that sword.

one aspect you didn't explicitly mention and didn't get brought up in the comments is that she enables characters like tighnari who couldn't previously run bloom / hyperbloom / quickbloom to do so because her hydro application is unconditional, while yelan & xinqiu need normal attacks, which is a huge dissynergy with charged attack and quickswap carries. the only reason im bringing this up is because tighnari is my favorite character to play and bloom is my favorite reaction. before furina a bloom tighnari was so awkward to play, now it's effortless. i guess kokomi and mona were there too but they're both tied to an area while furina isn't.
